LIFE TIME GEAR | PRIVATE FAVORITES I

from now on i will post some personal favorites from my boards.

here, my beloved BLUEBIRD cowboy boot, handmade by caboots,
el paso, texas. this pair of boots was my first handmade custom boot
about 10 years ago. JOEY SANCHEZ did a great job and the bluebird
was the first of three pairs. the bluebird is a classic boot inlay
pattern which fex. was a favorite of GENE AUTRY, too. believe me
this boot rocks!

4 days ago the new rws store in amsterdam, netherlands, opened. great views!
the interior was designed by some great designers, including joachim baan,
pim van lingen, kenneth jaworski, roeland interieurbouw and the people from
TENUE DE NIMES – you can find the popular denim boutique alongside.
beside the rws collection you will find DULUTH PACK, TANNER GOODS and

PEACOAT | SCHOTT vs. MISTER FREEDOM SUGAR CANE

schott did a new peacoat – a denim one. very nice, but not a new idea.
look at the MFSC denim pecoat 6284 pre wash pic. SO GREAT!
the pic is from march 2009; you can find more on the COTTON DUCK
site. and take a look at the actual fall 2010 MFSC collection: there
is another early pattern peacoat which is called the MIDNIGHT
P-JACKET, made of 16 oz. indigo black denim (aka “midnight twill”).

WESTERLAND | SYLT, GERMANY

holiday time – just for 7 days. going to sylt the awesome german island
in the north sea. i remembered a song about westerland, the biggest
village on this island, by DIE ÄRZTE a famous german punk rock band.
my god the song and the video below is from 1988: terrific! nice gimmick:
the guitar of singer and lead guitarist FARIN URLAUB has the shape
of the island – he played it on live gigs this time.
