It’s this time to hunt for special present ideas … almost for people who own everything. So what’s about the NASA Original Blanket found @ COOL MATERIAL? I love it! Most people dream some day of going to space. Mission impossible. So take a little NASA home! Rumpl’s NASA edition of the Original Puffy Blanket and Stuff Sack was created in honour of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 13 mission. This spacy blanket combines modern comfort with space age technology: Nylon shell and 100% post-consumer recycled polyester insulation. Heat-reflective 20D nylon shell. DWR finish for stain and water resistance. Cape Clip for hands-free use. NASA space suit inspired Tyvek product label. Water-resistant NASA stuff sack included. And if this will not be enough to live your dreams what’s about some Astronaut Ice Cream? Astronaut ice cream is an out of this world treat. Originally developed for space travel, this creamy-sweet freeze-dried astronaut food will give a taste of outer space right here on Earth. Ready-to-eat, yet shelf stable for up to 3 years, it’s made out of 100% real ice cream yet built to last the test of time.
Since three months I am the proud owner of a new BMW R nineT Srambler. One of the best decisions I did the last years – after a 19 years break I decided to ride a motorbike again. And believe me the “Scrambler” is such a great bike: So powerful with its 110 ps and 1200 ccm, so nice with its puristic look and heritage design. For me the perfect bike – absolutely. In 2021 BMW will launch the next range R nineT models with new designs, technical innovations and serial extras. Very interesting, but if I really like the new designs especially of the Scrambler … hm … I don’t know, but feel free to take a peek. Reduced to the max and most plainness I choose a pure brushed aluminium tank which is still available as an extra 😉 For more and detailed information please visit BMW Motorrad
It’s been a while ago when I did my last post … damn … more than one year … There are a lot of reasons for this – too many to list. From today on I will try to publish regularly again @ LIFE TIME GEAR.
Last Friday one day after I shot The John Lindberg Trio @ Schlossgrabenfest 2019 in Darmstadt, Germany, I have had the pleasure to shoot JohnZ. One of my best friends and my barber Olli is JohnZ’ Upright Bass player. And it was a great live gig too. It is always the same with the public: if the people hear some pure and plain well done Rock’n’Roll they stop and stay listening, till their feet begin to dance wilder and wilder. This what music is for! This is for what Rock’n’Roll is for!! On the first weekend of July I will be again with the Bend at famous Darmstadt City Party “Heinerfest”. Lazi, Konrad, Tom and Olli, see you at Goldene Krone in three weeks! #johnzrocks @johnzrock
End of last week I have had the pleasure to shoot John Lindberg Trio “JLT” live on stage at Schlossgrabenfest Darmstadt, Germany. It was a blast! So nice to hang around with JLT and JohnZ. JohnZ’ upright bass player Olli The Barber arranged the gig of JLT at Schlossgrabenfest. In March Thiemo Gutfried, one of the organizers of this big party – last year 400.000 people joined the concerts over four days – heard JLT, when he was at Olli’s Barber Shop. A funny story in short: He thought, that JLT was covering songs from JohnZ, but it was just the opposite Olli told him: JohnZ is covering four songs of the Swedish R’n’R trio. Thiemo was excited about JLT’S music and Olli invited John to play at Schlossgrabenfest 2019. Long talk short sense: JLT was booked! It was a great Rock’n’Roll party last Thursday and the audience was so excited about the band. Crowds listened and danced to JLT’s rousing show. The band allowed me to take pictures on stage … this was a new experience for me and I loved it … Hope to see the guys again at Schlossgrabenfast 2020!
Just some minutes ago I got Ralf’s first newsletter with grand news: www.ralfkellenberger.com is online now! I am so happy with the result because working together as a consultant with Rocky Beach Studio at the conception, design and realization of this unique store. Even more because I am a great fan of Ralf’s work. My first piece was a B74 Selected Goods ring made by Ralf 10 years ago. Meanwhile I own three rings and a fourth is in progress and we got friends and a good working team. Ralf was born 1982 in Pforzheim, Germany, known as the „Golden City“. Raised by his mother, a jewelry designer and his father, a diamond setter. It was their natural talent and sharp eye for detail that have inspired him through the years to create a unique and timeless collection true to the motto “Humbled by art, inspired by the earth.” Please check his new website to discover Ralf’s awesome jewelry. Every piece has its own history … it is really interesting reading this stories. All pieces are now available at www.ralfkellenberger.com or exclusive at B74 Selected Goods Shop in Frankfurt. By the way the man with the camera and three Rings on – this is me.
When I stumbled about this news and some pics in an automotive blog I thought “Damn, what an amazing idea”. The Electric Ford Bronco was developed and is produced by Zero Labs, Cal. USA. They are “… a passionate team of entrepreneurs, technology investors, advertising and media experts, financial managers, advanced race vehicle engineers, electric vehicle prototype manufactures, composite engineers, aerospace fabricators, premium classic car manufacturers, high net worth support and global industrial designers driven by a single purpose.” Zero Labs’ premium classic electric vehicles “are restored and handcrafted to show car quality seamlessly powered by a covert all-electric drive system. They are designed to be low maintenance, environment-friendly at superior luxury and refinement. Their goal is to offer everything you love, minus everything you hate. To be enjoyed now and well into the future.” Only 150 Broncos of this first edition premium electric vehicles are available for reservation. It is expected that the price can be more than $ 300.000, but maybe you know the “ICON” Bronco (see LTG Post from 2011) which is $ 250.000 up. Check the list of specifications and available options of the ZeroLab Bronco – leaves nothing to desired and using just the best materials. Great Idea. Much more information you will find @ Zero Labs and check this Videolink.
TSPTR launched its “SPACE RACE 1969” collection just a few days ago. So nice t-shirts and sweater with Snoopy prints dedicated to these days in the spring of 1969. Here some historic facts which made the new special collection happen. TSPTR ›› “Just before the first man landed on the moon, Charlie Brown and Snoopy soared through space with NASA’s Apollo 10 mission in May 1969. It is difficult to imagine the excitement that the race for the moon invoked fifty years ago. As the decade of the 1960s was coming to a close, America and the rest of the world waited with great anticipation to see if NASA could achieve President John F. Kennedy’s challenge, put forth in May 1961, of putting a man on the moon by the end of the decade. Consequently, it was a very great honor, indeed, when the crew of Apollo 10 chose to nickname their command and lunar modules Charlie Brown and Snoopy, respectively. The flight of Apollo 10 in May 1969 was the “dress rehearsal” for the lunar landing that was scheduled for July 1969. Astronauts Thomas Stafford and Eugene Cernan piloted “Snoopy” within 50,000 feet of the lunar surface as they scouted the landing area for Apollo 11while John Young orbited the moon in the command module “Charlie Brown.” Charles Schulz’s involvement with NASA began a year earlier than the 1969 flight of Apollo 10 when he was approached by NASA with a request to use Snoopy as their safety mascot. The Silver Snoopy Award program was instituted to improve the safety record of NASA employees and contractors. It proved to be a huge success with the astronauts and the employees. The Silver Snoopy pin is a much-coveted award. Snoopy has been on the job for 50 plus years and continues to this day in his role as NASA’s safety mascot.” The stuff is available @ the TSPTR Webstore. Check it, because the stuff shown at LTG Blog is just a small selection. For me as a great Snoopy fan – I own a Snoopy in real 😉 – a must have: the “First Beagle On the Moon! Flight Safe!” t-shirt and sweater.
