BMW MOTORRAD / MOTORCYCLES | R nineT NEW MODELS 2021

Since three months I am the proud owner of a new BMW R nineT Srambler. One of the best decisions I did the last years – after a 19 years break I decided to ride a motorbike again. And believe me the “Scrambler” is such a great bike: So powerful with its 110 ps and 1200 ccm, so nice with its puristic look and heritage design. For me the perfect bike – absolutely. In 2021 BMW will launch the next range R nineT models with new designs, technical innovations and serial extras. Very interesting, but if I really like the new designs especially of the Scrambler … hm …  I don’t know, but feel free to take a peek. Reduced to the max and most plainness I choose a pure brushed aluminium tank which is still available as an extra 😉 For more and detailed information please visit BMW Motorrad

JOHNZ LIVE @ SCHLOSSGRABEN FEST DARMSTADT, GERMANY

Last Friday one day after I shot The John Lindberg Trio @ Schlossgrabenfest 2019 in Darmstadt, Germany, I have had the pleasure to shoot JohnZ. One of my best friends and my barber Olli is JohnZ’ Upright Bass player. And it was a great live gig too. It is always the same with the public: if the people hear some pure and plain well done Rock’n’Roll they stop and stay listening, till their feet begin to dance wilder and wilder. This what music is for! This is for what Rock’n’Roll is for!! On the first weekend of July I will be again with the Bend at famous Darmstadt City Party “Heinerfest”. Lazi, Konrad, Tom and Olli, see you at Goldene Krone in three weeks!  #johnzrocks @johnzrock

JOHN LINDBERG TRIO LIVE @ SCHLOSSGRABEN FEST DARMSTADT, GERMANY

End of last week I have had the pleasure to shoot John Lindberg Trio “JLT” live on stage at Schlossgrabenfest Darmstadt, Germany. It was a blast! So nice to hang around with JLT and JohnZ. JohnZ’ upright bass player Olli The Barber arranged the gig of JLT at Schlossgrabenfest. In March Thiemo Gutfried, one of the organizers of this big party – last year 400.000 people joined the concerts over four days – heard JLT, when he was at Olli’s Barber Shop. A funny story in short: He thought, that JLT was covering songs from JohnZ, but it was just the opposite Olli told him: JohnZ is covering four songs of the Swedish R’n’R trio. Thiemo was excited about JLT’S music and Olli invited John to play at Schlossgrabenfest 2019. Long talk short sense: JLT was booked! It was a great Rock’n’Roll party last Thursday and the audience was so excited about the band. Crowds listened and danced to JLT’s rousing show. The band allowed me to take pictures on stage … this was a new experience for me and I loved it … Hope to see the guys again at Schlossgrabenfast 2020!

BIRKENSTOCK ARIZONA CAMOUFLAGE AND BLUE/WHITE NATURAL LEATHER COMBI

Birkenstock launched some very nice new Arizona styles. And summer arrived in middle Germany. As you know I am addicted in wearing boots all day, but I also love these so comfortable sandals by Birkenstock Made in Germany to let my feet breath some fresh air, when it is hot outside … the Japanese way 😉 One of my absolute favorites are the new camouflage and blue/white colored Arizona sandals. Great the combination of the white sole and buckles with the deep blue nature leather. These are perfect to combine with f.ex. Tellason’s olive Fatigue pant and Selvedge Denim. Barefoot for sure :)) … no socks, no limits.

SNOOPY, PEANUTS & TSPTR | SPACE RACE 1969 – MOON LANDING 50TH ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION

TSPTR launched its “SPACE RACE 1969” collection just a few days ago. So nice t-shirts and sweater with Snoopy prints dedicated to these days in the spring of 1969. Here some historic facts which made the new special collection happen. TSPTR ›› “Just before the first man landed on the moon, Charlie Brown and Snoopy soared through space with NASA’s Apollo 10 mission in May 1969. It is difficult to imagine the excitement that the race for the moon invoked fifty years ago. As the decade of the 1960s was coming to a close, America and the rest of the world waited with great anticipation to see if NASA could achieve President John F. Kennedy’s challenge, put forth in May 1961, of putting a man on the moon by the end of the decade. Consequently, it was a very great honor, indeed, when the crew of Apollo 10 chose to nickname their command and lunar modules Charlie Brown and Snoopy, respectively. The flight of Apollo 10 in May 1969 was the “dress rehearsal” for the lunar landing that was scheduled for July 1969. Astronauts Thomas Stafford and Eugene Cernan piloted “Snoopy” within 50,000 feet of the lunar surface as they scouted the landing area for Apollo 11while John Young orbited the moon in the command module “Charlie Brown.” Charles Schulz’s involvement with NASA began a year earlier than the 1969 flight of Apollo 10 when he was approached by NASA with a request to use Snoopy as their safety mascot. The Silver Snoopy Award program was instituted to improve the safety record of NASA employees and contractors. It proved to be a huge success with the astronauts and the employees. The Silver Snoopy pin is a much-coveted award. Snoopy has been on the job for 50 plus years and continues to this day in his role as NASA’s safety mascot.” The stuff is available @ the TSPTR Webstore. Check it, because the stuff shown at LTG Blog is just a small selection. For me as a great Snoopy fan – I own a Snoopy in real 😉 – a must have: the “First Beagle On the Moon! Flight Safe!” t-shirt and sweater.
