MISTER FREEDOM® | HUMBLE CONTRIBUTION TO JAPAN DISASTER RELIEF

there were just 15 limited numbered shirts: ““I SURVIVED JAPAN 9.0 AND ALL I GOT WAS THIS
LOUSY SHIRT”. they are all sold each for $100. MF shipped them for free and gave all the money
to the AMERICAN RED CROSS.

i got some mails, where folks wrote me that this shirt seems to be disrespectful. me, i do not think so.
it is really interesting how the people handle this terrible disaster for their own. and the main thing is
to help. and C.LOIRON aka MR. FREEDOM® did it. maybe not the usual way but really strong. he is
saying: “… We hand stenciled 15 custom numbered T-shirts, with original artwork inspired by not-so-
serious“tourist” type 1960’s-70’s graphic T-shirts. The recent events are obviously a non laughing
matter,  but some ‘lightness’ is the only remedy i have found against the daily flow of bad news and
alarming updates…”

KEN vs BIG JIM vs ACTION TEAM vs DON DON

oh f***, KEN, BARBIES boyfriend celebrates his 50 birthday. germanys GQ did a shooting with a
“living KEN”. i hate this kind of photography and i remember hating KEN when i was a boy. the heroes of my  boyhood were BIG JIM and his friends BIG JEFF, BIG JACK and BIG JOSH. real men packed with muscles and born to live in adventures. but KEN? he looked like the soft dork of his BARBIE. and do you remember the ACTION TEAM men? poor two men which have had just few equipment in comparison to the BIG JIM gang … today i would choose DON DON wearing RED WING SHOES – yeah, he rocks!

VOLKER WIEGMANN has a very nice collection of RED WING SHOES. this is indeed not a
mainstream or fashion line up. these boots were well choosen by their owner. volker is
working as a production manager and coordinator of a very fine printing plant i often work
with. he is well known as one of the 2 men behind VINTAGEPANERAI.COM. with his buddy
RALF EHLERS he wrote 2 excellent panerai books and a third one is in progress. volker
is wearing RWS since 18 years and he never sold a pair. he got his first pair in 1993 from
PETER HECKMANN at darmstadt’s SURFERSPOINT which was closed years ago. peter
was a missionary for RWS in germany and especially in darmstadt. he has still a shop
