today is the day: HERTHA BSC BERLIN vs. FORTUNA DUESSELDORF. first play off of two matches in berlin: who will play german 1. BUNDESLIGA 2012/13? next tuesday there will be the second play off in DUESSELDORF at the rhein river. why this post? nor i am a FORTUNA fan neither i am a TOTEN HOSEN fan. my football heart belongs to FC KAISERSLAUTERN – forever and ever – and the time i went to TOTEN HOSEN concerts is long ago. about 30 years ago i joined the first gig when they published OPEL GANG. at this time they drove with their old OPEL BLITZ tourbus to their concerts … long time ago – time is running. damn, this music was new for me as a 15 years young boy in the early 80ies: german punk – fast, dirty, uncomplicated, fun, singing, drinking. and i always loved the affinity of the band to soccer and their view about f***ing BAYERN MUENCHEN. about 20 years ago i bought the last album of the band but one week ago i took a peak at last friday published “BALLAST DER REPUBLIK”. 30 years DIE TOTEN HOSEN – unbelievable. there are a lot of songs full of nostalgia that reminds me my youth. greatest song: ALTES FIEBER. perfect text – i often feel the same – listen below. but for this evening: FORTUNA GO! show the HAUPTSTADT how soccer works! you’ll never walk alone. pics & vids | Die Toten Hosen, LTG

these boots are for the working cowboy. perfect for me as a graphic designer “HO, HO, HO, HO, …” yes indeed, this boots are not only made for walking, riding and work on a ranch, but for wearing them the whole day whatever you do, even in the office – they are so comfortable i can’t explain in words. okay, i took them in a 10 with a double E width, but that was a, in german we say, “Notlösung” emergency solution sounds so stupid, because i could not get the boots in another size. but they fit. in cowboy and western boots i always wear an american 1/2 size bigger than in work boots. i just found one dealer in europe selling RIOS OF MERCEDES boots – GOMEIR’S world of saddles – and i did not want to pay so much customs getting these from the states. and besides i did not found especially this kind of boot with a white big creep sole at any shop around the world. i discovered the label on hukurokuju.com . RIOS OF MERCEDES boots are handmade since 1853 in texas, usa, and well-known for their high quality and durability. especially my boots have wonderful extraordinary modern stichings combined with classic ones – nice contrasts! i love the toes staring at the sky … great uncommon cowboy boots. and the best: they are very hard to get – no, you will not get these anymore! game over.
normally i wear my glasses in heavy, big, horn frames f.ex. from DITA, LUNETTES, SHURON or RAY BAN. but now it was time for smart old school round glasses. AKRAM from KLAR in darmstadt, germany, knew the perfect frame for me from SAVILE ROW, london, england. gold frame parts combined with chestnut rims, biggest round made a bit flat so that the rims do not look like frisbees at this size. great look. perfect fit – thx AKRAM –good taste, good order, best recommendation. for more about SAVILE ROW check their informative site. damn, it is very unusual wearing such a lightweight frame … feels comfortable! bad pics | LTG
