BUTTS AND SHOULDERS NEW GOODYEAR WELTED BOOTS

Today, back to the boots. My buddy WOUTER c/o BUTTS AND SHOULDERS and LONG JOHN blog send me some pics of the new B&S boot which had its premier @ the MODEFABRIEK FAIR AMSTERDAM a few days ago. Very nice.This classic boot is made in Portugal from a natural vegetable tanned leather and it is fitted with a GOODYEAR welted construction. Look at the pics – the leather is aging so wonderful. BUTTS AND SHOULDERS x BEERZE BEER COLLABORATION | LIMITED LEATHER APRON AND BEER BOTTLE OPENER

yesterday i got some news from my dear friend WOUTERS aka MR LONG JOHN and co-founder and owner of BUTTS AND SHOULDERS. they did a collaboration with netherlands beer brand BEERZE BEER. the result is a great looking leather apron ands a beer bottle opener –great idea. for sure both products are made by hand of true craftsmen. the apron is made of natural vegetable tanned leather and i promise you, it will age wonderful in use. each of these is numbered. i think the stuff will be available at the BUTTS AND SHOULDER site, when it was launched at friday 24th of october during the the DUTCH DESIGN WEEK in eindhoven, netherlands. they will organize a special event for this at Bergstraat 14a – CHEERS! pics | Butts and Shoulders

BUTTS AND SHOULDERS | FIRST EDITION OF 50 BAGS IS LAUNCHED

a week ago i got a mail from my friend WOUTER the guy behind LONG JOHN in which he wrote about a new brand named BUTTS AND SHOULDERS. WOUTER created BAS in collabaration with friends which share the same authentic passion he does. together they had the idea to create the ultimate travel bag. and now you can see the result after one year testing. 50 bags were made in the first run. here some more facts WOUTER told me: “Our Butts and Shoulders bag is made of 100% natural vegetable leather. LONG JOHN X GO STERK & BLENDOMATIC | TRIBUTE TO MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE SHIRT – LTG GOT ONE :-))

damn, found an envelop with the LONG JOHN print on it – what a surprise. exciting, what’s inside? great it’s a shirt: the LONG JOHN X GO STERK & BLENDOMATIC tribute shirt to MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE. what a nice idea, what a wonderful high quality LEE shirt with a tasteful sailing ship print. LONG JOHN at it’s best. here is what WOUTER says about the shirt: “

The Long John platform stands for authenticity so we love this old way
of sending messages. This bottle ‘enveloppe’ goes back centuries and
was used by a lot of people on the sea.
In the 16th century, the English navy used message in a bottle to send ashore information about enemy positions. And during World War I soldiers used bottles to send
last messages to their loved ones.
A great story from May 2005 is about eighty-eight shipwrecked migrants at the coast of Costa Rica. They had placed a S.O.S. message in a bottle and tied it to one of the long lines of a passing fishing boat. They were all rescued!
The oldest message in a bottle was travelling more than 98 years in the sea
and was picked-up by a Scottish fisherman in 2012.

BRAVE (by OBBI GOOD LABEL) x LONG JOHN STUFF GO LTG

last week WOUTER sent me my new LJ BRAVE shirt and a key holder from his collab with BRAVE by great OBBI GOOD LABEL. it is a pitty that i do not need a new wallet … the key holder is awesome handmade with best quality oxblood chromexcel HORWEEN leather. so nice the embossed LJ anchor and BRAVE logo. i am really excited about the aging  of this piece in everyday use. beside the oxblood version it is available in OGL natural Vegetable-Tanned and OGL HORWEEN black chromexcel leathers. corresponding to the key holder WOUTER offers a coin/card holder. very nice too. the OBBI GOOD LABEL used their new concept “BRAVE” in a collab with an european brand for the first time. the shirt is a sperfect as the white ones i bought some months ago. textile and print are best best quality and the fit is perfect. really: fitting and convincing. for more information about the collaboration, the stuff and the LJ shop, check the LONG JOHN site. the stuff is just produced in limited quantities. pics | LTG & LJ

LONG JOHN STUFF | THE ANCHOR FOR SUCCESS IS WITH LIFE TIME GEAR

followers of BANDITBLOGGERS.com and LIFE TIME GEAR know that i missed WOUTER from LONG JOHN at BREAD & BUTTER, berlin – sad. but just 2 hours before i started the BBB trip last tuesday my order from LJ arrived. i didn’t open it, because i was to busy at this time. yesterday evening i did. it was not really surprising that i found really nice stuff in the box. the 2 shirts are made of high quality cotton and the anchor designs are great with perfect prints. i think WOUTER aka LONG JOHN does a great job and i am the opinion that this must be supported. check his great site especially the WORN-OUT PROJECTS link – i love it – and his webshop to get your personally “ANCHOR FOR SUCCESS”.

yesterday i have had a photo shooting for an upcoming campaign i am not allowed to talk or write about. the photos below were made before the shooting at casino, wiesbaden, germany, in between light and position tests. the shooting was made with a client of me and a german celebrity. it was really cool and smooth and the results are perfect.
