it’s always nice to discover new labels in blogs or online shops. but it is pretty nicer if you have the chance to see and feel the stuff live. so it happens with HOWLIN BY MORRISON. KLAUS from volls.de got a great delivery of their new collection and i love it. he says: “Founded 1981 as a family driven company,  the sons Jan and Patrick Olyslager decided to inject a new impulse into the label and created Howlin by as a playful and more progressive counterpart of the classic touched Morrison. LIFE TIME GEAR | PRIVATE FAVORITES XVIII “VINTAGE BELTS“

i just have 3 belts i wear every day. all are from DUKES, all are vintage d’artisan military belts which are
about 30/40 years old. each belt is hand cleaned with special composed leather lotions and hand painted

my buddy KLAUS from VOLLS.DE did a good choice for the S/S 2011 with his POST’O order. i love
this stuff designed from the knowledge of unchangable and authentic vintage clothing. always completed
with some extraordinary ideas giving the typical POST’O touch, the signature of TAKESHI OHFUCCHI,
founder and designer of NYC based POST’O in 1993. all pieces are made in the USA. these are just a

LIFE TIME GEAR | PRIVATE FAVORITES IX “WINTERWEAR #2“

it is still snowing and very cold in middle germany near frankfurt/main. my favorite parka
is still in revision but my buddy KAMI from B74 gave me another LIFE TIME GEAR piece:
a SPIEWAK N3A PARKA from the golden fleece series. great stuff: lightweight and comfortable
but very warm. it works great with the quilted POST OVERALLs vest. VOLLS got a lot of
POST O’ stuff two weeks ago. is there another shop in germany who sells this great stuff
from NYC? i don’t think so. but the best for deep snow walking are my WHITE’S HATHORN
SMOKEJUMPER with their heavy vibram trekking sole – these boots are what i call
LIFE TIME GEAR!

LEVI’S 501 | COMMERCIALS

found on FARINELLIS. nice video collection: from 1985 “LAUNDRETTE“, 1988 “REFRIGERATOR“, 1989 “PICK UP“ over 1990 “CAMERA“ (with BRAD PITT – you remember? ) to 1994 “CREEK“. it is pretty amazing. wearing the 501 in the eighties,  in the nineties and i am still carrying on and on. when i saw the spots i thought it was yesterday. ok the hairstyles are somtimes creepy, but the 501 was never out of style and won’t be. i most love the LEVI’S VINTAGE collection, the historical styles of the 501 through the years and decades. for german readers: the best collection you might get at VOLLS.DE.    ej
