FREITAG IN MAINHATTAN | FREITAG + B74 SELECTED GOODS STORE OPENED ONE WEEK AGO – SOME IMPRESSIONS

I joined the great Pre-Opening Party on Thursday the 8th – here some impressions of this great start. One day later on Friday the 9th the “FREITAG by B74 SELECTED GOODS” store opened. Compliments to Kami, his wife Iris, Kiam, Max and all the others who took part to realize this wonderful store located in the heart of MAINHATTAN, Frankfurt City, not 5 Minutes away by feet  from Red Wings Store Frankfurt and B74. Well known bag and eco-clothes producer FREITAG from Switzerland opens together with B74 SELECTED GOODS an exclusive store in Frankfurt city center: Kleiner Hirschgraben 8, 60311 Frankfurt, GERMANY. Thursday evening the 8th of December will be a grand Pre-Opening Party with local well known DJ Nuri/Pracht, Wilhelm Tell Crossbow Appleshooting, Big Apple Tower and “Frankfurter Äppelwoi & Frankfurter Würstchen”. BRÜTTING DIAMOND BRAND | SHOOTING 40 YEARS OLD VINTAGE SNEAKERS

Last week I had the possibility to shoot two vintage pairs of BRÜTTING DIAMOND BRAND sneakers. Nearly 40 years old but still in good shape with wonderful patina. The white sneaker is an original classic ROADRUNNER, available since 1967, which is named “LongJog” today – compare the old vs. new versions below. The tan sneaker is an original ASTROTURFER, which was introduced in the 1970s especially to be applied on synthetic turf which was known as ASTROTURF®. Today this shoe is named “RoadJog”. All sneakers, the old and new ones, of the DIAMOND BRAND Collection are build on the same last named “Lydiard-Leisten” which was developed by Eugen Brütting and New Zealand Athlete and Trainer Arthur Lydiard. The special thing is the “sickle shape” which is a special mark of the DIAMOND BRAND shoes. Both sneakers show the famous “DIAMOND BRAND” label. The Brand-name was introduced to increase the awareness level also outside Germany and to make marketing easier. That’s the reason why BRÜTTING still uses this Brandname for the actual collection. The vintage ROADRUNNER seems to be resoled – a service which is still offered today. B74 has the LongJog in “allblack” and the RoadJog in “dust”. TELLASON | NEW FATIGUE PANT MADE OF 7.5 OZ BRITISH KHAKI TWILL FROM JAPAN

In February 2016 I wrote a blog post about 2 TELLASON Fatigue pants made of 8.5 oz cotton sateen in Olive Green and Khaki. These 2 pants where my constant companions this summer. The guys @ TELLASON now did a third Fatigue Pant, which is even smoother than the first I got. I love this touch and feel from the first moment on I tried this pant. It is TELLASON’s take on the iconic OD-107 fatigue pant from the Vietnam area. The new Fatigue comes in 7.5 oz 100% cotton twill from Japan, raw and unwashed, but so comfortable. With a tapered leg, zip fly, flap back pockets. For sure made in San Francisco. B74 ORDERSHOW S/S 2017 | DAY #04 “ORDERSHOW IS CLOSED”

After 4 really nice but busy days B74 ORDERSHOW is closed since 3:pm. The folks, the last clients for today and the exhibitors went away in the weekend after packing all the stuff and the booths to their vans. Smooth and relaxing without any stress and hectic pace … like the other days … see you in January 2017. pics | LTG

B74 ORDERSHOW S/S 2017 | DAY #03 “WORK, FUN, PEOPLE, FRIENDS, COOL, HEARTY – GOOD LIFE”

Next day … time is running at B74 ORDERSHOW – too fast: Day #03. It was again a very relaxed but at the same time busy day for the exhibitors, the catering and for me … always on the run. But again I met people in a really good temper. I got some interesting new contacts, heard a lot of about new products, collections and other detailed things you’ll never ever hear about if not talking to these professionals, these insiders – I love it! B74 ORDERSHOW S/S 2017 | DAY #02 “SHINING SO BRIGHT – THE SUN OVER FRANKFURT AND THE VIBES @ ORDERSHOW B74”

Second day @ B74 ORDERSHOW. Not such a smooth start as yesterday because of f***ing Frankfurt city traffic – a lot of road works: too much. Orange Beast brought me in under 15 Minutes from DA to FFM, but then it took me about an hour from the first FFM road sign to B74. Breathing … calm down … and then the sun went up, blue sky, just some cool clouds, the banking towers, the B74 sign, beloved SPIDERMAN: what a view, when you reach the parking lot of B74! This view compensated all trouble before. After the first espresso I started my daily tour and met a really good friend: Oli Breitwieser from RIDERS ROOM in Hamburg, Germany. It was 2 years ago we met the last time – damn. And it was an absolute pleasure to meet Sven Eden, the owner of RIDERS ROOM. Seen so often @ social media but today for the first time live – great! B74 ORDERSHOW S/S 2017 | DAY #01 “GETTING STARTED … MUCH TRAFFIC …”

This morning B74 ORDERSHOW started. For me a smooth start cruisin’ 30 kilometers with the Orange Beast straight to my parking lot directly in front of B74 – thx for this comfort, KAMI – this is f***in great! While getting my equipment ready it was really busy at the stalls around me … here just some impressions. B74 ORDERSHOW S/S 2017 | DAY #00 “READY TO RUMBLE”

The next days I will be @ the B74 ORDERSHOW in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, to stay in contact with good friends, meet people and check all this great new stuff from the labels which will be presented. Even today while the set-up was done I find some really nice and interesting stuff. The whole day it was really busy around B74. The empty and clean area got filled hour by hour – exciting. So Kami owner and founder of B74 told me: “We are ready to rumble!” I am happy to be part of this ORDERSHOW the next 4 days. pics | LTG
