this hand made necktie by great BELA c/o HEPVILLE CUSTOM CLOTHING is the 4th one i own. wonderful! i got it today, took a look and i must tell you: it is perfect. the necktie is made of 100% cotton, hand sewn shut with hidden slip stitch, pre-washed by hand to soften the fabric, 144 cm (57″) long, 7,5 cm (2 7/8″) at the widest point. it’s a must to check BELA’s ETSY site: HEPVILLE. isn’t this a nice combination in the pics below: vest | POST OVERALLS, shirt | ENGINEERED GARMENTS, necktie | HEPVILLE CUSTOM CLOTHING … pics | LTG

that’s what social media is good for: i met ROY VAN CREIJ at facebook. and some day i saw these handmade crocheted bow ties that he posted. for me as a bow tie lover an absolute must-have. yesterday i got a letter from the netherlands with these two really nice looking and well done pieces for a nice price. it is easy to fit the ties with the two buttons in the back. i think the orange one has to be ordered too! isn’t that a wonderful gift for christmas? beside the bow ties ROY offers different sorts of bracelets at the MONSIEUR BOJANGLES etsy store. pics | LTG

yesterday i have had a photo shooting for an upcoming campaign i am not allowed to talk or write about. the photos below were made before the shooting at casino, wiesbaden, germany, in between light and position tests. the shooting was made with a client of me and a german celebrity. it was really cool and smooth and the results are perfect. LIFE TIME GEAR @ VOLLS

yesterday morning i visited my buddy KLAUS, owner of VOLLS shop, darmstadt, germany, and volls.de. it is always nice to have a change in an exhausting working week, even it is only about an hour. speaking about local news, upcoming collections and checking some stuff arrived the last days. one of my actual new favorites KLAUS got these days: MERZ B. SCHWANEN. really great stuff – you feel the passion and heritage the makers put in the pieces when you touch it, see it and feel it by wearing. and beside me my wife loves it, too. another highlight yesterday where some extraordinary pieces from EDWIN OVERWORKING. pretty nice and extremely exclusive but damn expensive. KLAUS is heavy working on his online shop update for S/S 2012 while is waiting for more new stuff to come from ENGINEERED GARMENTS, POST OVERALLS, ALDEN, and and and. what a pitty, half an hour later when i left KLAUS the new LEVIS VINTAGE CLOTHING stuff arrived. yep, another reason to come back soon next week. i will keep you updated for the online shop update. pics | LTG

LIFE TIME GEAR | PRIVATE FAVORITES IX “WINTERWEAR #2“

it is still snowing and very cold in middle germany near frankfurt/main. my favorite parka
is still in revision but my buddy KAMI from B74 gave me another LIFE TIME GEAR piece:
a SPIEWAK N3A PARKA from the golden fleece series. great stuff: lightweight and comfortable
but very warm. it works great with the quilted POST OVERALLs vest. VOLLS got a lot of
POST O’ stuff two weeks ago. is there another shop in germany who sells this great stuff
from NYC? i don’t think so. but the best for deep snow walking are my WHITE’S HATHORN
SMOKEJUMPER with their heavy vibram trekking sole – these boots are what i call
LIFE TIME GEAR!
