LIFE TIME GEAR @ AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION & LAMBCHOP

saturday evening was great: at first PETER and me visited UWE c/o AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION at his office in frankfurt/main, germany, and after that we all joined together the LAMBCHOP concert. first of all the concert was really nice, sometimes very low, but exciting by the same way. KURT WAGNER’s voice is catchy – you just have listen to! AWESOME. but the songs from their actual longplayer “MR. M”, dedicated to the band’s died friend VIC CHESSNUT, are so sad and you feel deep devotional. but before PETER and me discovered UWE’s mens playground: the AMTRAQ office. we could have stayed there for hours. the office interior is so tastefully. UWE was explaining his stuff, me i checked and tried one piece after another, pizza, beer, good music …just perfect! over all TELLASON denim and the DEHEN1920 stuff fascinated me most. great stuff! but don’t forget MAKR, TANNER GOODS, TOPO DESIGN and SPORTSWEAR REG. UWE, you did a good selection, a lot of new and exciting stuff for german men shops and outfitters. pics | lLambchop faz.net | LTG

since i got her book SPEEDSEEKERS i am a fan of ALEX’s photography. upcoming friday, the 16th of march, her new exhibition “HELL ON WHEELS“ will be kicked off. fine art photos from 12 years BONNEVILLE SPEEDWEEK printed on metal. beside, ALEX will show some films and. the vernissage will begin at 7:00 PM at  OLDTIMERTANKSTELLE, billhorner roehrendamm in 20539 hamburg, germany – plus live music and performances. seems to be a cool event … damn: 450 km away from middle germany and LTG office. pics & video | Alexandra Lier

just found a short text passage about JAMIE who performed at dutch EUROSONIC festival in the german ROLLING STONE. sounded really interesting … and indeed it is. damn, sorry, look at this babyface and listen to the whisky soaked and smoky voice at the “THE PREACHER” video. british JAMIE N COMMONS is at least 22 with a voice remembering a mix of NICK CAVE and MARK LANEGAN singing about preachers, debts, the death and the devil. i will stay tuned! pics & video | JAMIE N COMMONS, tape.tv, wdr rockpalast

a lot of people asked me what cap i wore on the pics FRED posted @ RW1905. it is a merchandise TRUCKER HAT from great LAMBCHOP.  i will see them tomorrow evening in FRANKFURT, MAIN, with some good friends who love KURT WAGNER’s voice like me. it will be a smooth evening – i’m sure. before i will visit UWE and the showroom of AMTRAQ. i am really curios about. now i know why so many people spoke about NC’s book SCOTT’S LAST EXPEDITION. as a graphic designer i got nervous 2 days ago when FRED from RW1905 blog gave me the small paperboard box with the embossed headline SCOTT’S LAST EXPEDITION as a gift. AWESOME … just awesome. there is nothing more to say. a great collection of historic pics combined with NC’s upcoming “SLE” stuff photographed by great ALEX TELFER. i know that the book is strictly limited and rare. thx again FRED – you gave me something special! bad pics | LTG

BE BLOGGER, BE FAIR, RESPECT YOUR SOURCES

… if photos, illustrations or texts are not made by yourself. which is not a crime, for sure not. blogging just works with inspiration by others. for LIFE TIME GEAR it is a great pleasure to surf around the WWW finding new inspirations to show and present my followers getting response. if i have the possibility to do my own photos it is even better. both ways work. since last saturday more than 500.000 people took a look at my posts in 26 months – thx! when i take stuff from other blog sites, tumblr, shops or what else i respect the people who did or create this stuff and so DAMN, I NAME THEM!!! even eBay seller names. i get sick, when i find COPIES FROM SO-CALLED CREATIVES WHO ARE TOO PROUD OR TO LAZY TO NAME THEIR SOURCES. in german we say: “SCHMÜCKEN MIT FREMDEN FEDERN” … it’s a SHAME! here is a nice example i found yesterday. neither great NYC LEFFOT is named, nor the photographer of the rugged 1.000 mile boot and the ebay auction nor LIFE TIME GEAR who did this collection last friday certainly naming all the sources. all is said. and because of respect i do not name the copy site, sorry. pics | LTG, LEFFOT, ebay balearic 1

an awesome classic LINEMAN boot in my favorite RWS leather & color ORO RUSET PORTAGE. goodyear welt construction, lace-to-toe, 6 inch, traction tred sole – an iconic boot. i saw the brown #2933 lineman in FRED’s RW1905 blog. this one will be in the stores F/W 2012. maybe the whole RWS LINEMAN family is coming back to europe. hope so! pics | THREEWOOD, japan

DEICHKIND | LEIDER GEIL

sad, that english speaking listeners can’t understand what DEICHKIND is telling us. again not the style of music i prefer to listen to, but these lyrics are perfect like nearly all of DEICHKIND’S new album “BEFEHL VON GANZ UNTEN”. for me DEICHKIND, the band, the music, the videos, everything is a sort of art performance. if you like it or not, it is amusing to listen to and to watch – nice weekend. i have to work: “LEIDER NICHT GEIL”. vid | DEICHKIND
