ALDEN x VOLLS INDY BOOT CUSTOMIZED BY SCHUHGOTT

Hi guys, long time no blog … I am sorry, but my real life needs me: toooooo much work, a lot of trouble the last weeks.  I hope it will get better now. Yesterday I wore these amazing customized ALDEN x VOLLS INDY BOOTS for the first time after customized by INGO KELLER who runs SCHUHGOTT in Cologne, Germany. And I must tell you, that these boots were much more comfortable to wear than before: great walking. I bought these ALDEN x VOLLS cooperation boot 2 years ago and I wore it just several times. I am not a friend of “just leather soles”. I know that a lot of you will say “Damn this boot looks quiet smarter with a pure leather sole”, but I didn’t like it. I wore too often work boots and heavy western boots. When I wear a boot or a shoe with a leather sole I have the feeling wearing ballet shoes, not to mention about the grip. INGO put classic DAINITE sole and heel under a double leather sole construction and I love the look now – and the comfortably. A really clean and perfect work for my now daily ALDEN. What a wonderful boot! When I had to compose a boot for my own it could have the same look as this ALDEN available @ FRANS BOONE did with. From the bootleg to the sole – just perfect. Love the chocolate structured grain calf leather combined with one of my most beloved soles: the ALDEN crepe sole with a leather tip. Combine this great look: the brass eyelets and hooks. NEW ALDEN ORDER ARRIVED @ VOLLS

KLAUS from volls.de gave me a call that the new ALDEN order has just arrived. all new ALDEN boots got a VOLLS print inside. very nice and i would be proud of it … and i think KLAUS is. he got 6 new different style exclusively made for VOLLS.  all in different shapes, leathers, color combinations but all with leather soles. my favorites are the beige colored, doubled soled INDY BOOT, the tan suede PLAIN TOE BOOT and the tan CHUKKA – very nice, smart but cool and best crafted – ALDEN. pics | LTG

BOOT OF THE DAY | #184 | ALDEN x FRANS BOONE SADDLE SHOE TOBACCO CHAMOIS SNUFF SUEDE

so, definitely: this is the nicest, coolest and at the same time smartest saddle shoe i ever saw. respect to FRANS BOONE who did this awesome piece together with ALDEN. i think this style, this combination in design and leathers must be really exclusive – at least i never saw before. this ALDEN shoe features the following characteristics: snuff suede saddle and heel part, vamp and quarters in reversed tobacco chamois, brass eyelets, cordo hyde flat laces, plantation crepe outsole, barrie last D width. it would be an amazing, awesome part of my boot & shoe collection, but the price is the price an ALDEN costs. so my rationality is fighting against the passion. it’s an exciting match! wonderful pics | © FRANS BOONE

half a year ago i did a blog post about a KUDU INDY BOOT by ALDEN for BUREAU BELFAST and i was really fascinated about this great looking antelope leather. BUREAU BELFAST right now got 2 other KUDU styles from ALDEN: a BLUCHER and a WORK BOOT. both fitted with a custom vibram sole, dark brown eyelets, flat cotton laces and a reverse split welt. the rare KUDU leather has an oil finish. certainly is this ALDEN stuff hand made in the USA. what a wonderful footwear! pics | The Bureau Belfast
