yesterday i got a present from my lithoman and friend HARALD FREUD. the bootle and the label look really interesting: BLACK BEARD cuvee red EDITION PIRATS OF THE PALATINUM from LERGENMÜLLER vineyards. i do not know how the vine is tasting – i’ll try it soon. the vineyard has other great labelled vines, named f.ex. 2011 JOHN SILVER, a Blanc de Noirs, dry, 2011 OAK & STEELChardonnay, dry. with the PIRATS OF THE PALATINUM series both brothers STEFAN and JÜRGEN LERGENMÜLLER want to show their heritage and tradition in making vines. more information about the “PFALZPIRATEN” at their website. pics | LTG
some weeks ago i did a great ebay deal: i could get 2 vintage nice worn in vintage FILSON caps for less money. and the best, from inside the caps look nearly new – take a look at the labels and tags. no smell, no sweat, just a perfect condition. the green cap is made of genuine oil wax cotton, custom made in the USA, the orange one is made in china. damn – i hate this! pics | LTG
one year old, nice worn in, because of constant wear over the whole year but especially in summer. great oxford style with this rough out “MAIZE ABILENE” colored leather. one of 4 oxfords i own – the #8105 is the smartest.

today is the day: HERTHA BSC BERLIN vs. FORTUNA DUESSELDORF. first play off of two matches in berlin: who will play german 1. BUNDESLIGA 2012/13? next tuesday there will be the second play off in DUESSELDORF at the rhein river. why this post? nor i am a FORTUNA fan neither i am a TOTEN HOSEN fan. my football heart belongs to FC KAISERSLAUTERN – forever and ever – and the time i went to TOTEN HOSEN concerts is long ago. about 30 years ago i joined the first gig when they published OPEL GANG. at this time they drove with their old OPEL BLITZ tourbus to their concerts … long time ago – time is running. damn, this music was new for me as a 15 years young boy in the early 80ies: german punk – fast, dirty, uncomplicated, fun, singing, drinking. and i always loved the affinity of the band to soccer and their view about f***ing BAYERN MUENCHEN. about 20 years ago i bought the last album of the band but one week ago i took a peak at last friday published “BALLAST DER REPUBLIK”. 30 years DIE TOTEN HOSEN – unbelievable. there are a lot of songs full of nostalgia that reminds me my youth. greatest song: ALTES FIEBER. perfect text – i often feel the same – listen below. but for this evening: FORTUNA GO! show the HAUPTSTADT how soccer works! you’ll never walk alone. pics & vids | Die Toten Hosen, LTG

normally i wear my glasses in heavy, big, horn frames f.ex. from DITA, LUNETTES, SHURON or RAY BAN. but now it was time for smart old school round glasses. AKRAM from KLAR in darmstadt, germany, knew the perfect frame for me from SAVILE ROW, london, england. gold frame parts combined with chestnut rims, biggest round made a bit flat so that the rims do not look like frisbees at this size. great look. perfect fit – thx AKRAM –good taste, good order, best recommendation. for more about SAVILE ROW check their informative site. damn, it is very unusual wearing such a lightweight frame … feels comfortable! bad pics | LTG
