yesterday i have had a photo shooting for an upcoming campaign i am not allowed to talk or write about. the photos below were made before the shooting at casino, wiesbaden, germany, in between light and position tests. the shooting was made with a client of me and a german celebrity. it was really cool and smooth and the results are perfect. last saturday i found a very nice designed envelope in my postbox. beside all the uncountable emails every week it is always a great pleasure finding “real post” in the postbox – almost old school …. even more if the sender sticker is from NIGEL CABOURN. very well done the new mailing for the show dates, where and when the upcoming spring 2013 collection will be shown. awesome pic headed “THE ARMY ISN’T ALL WORK”, printed on water color paper – LIKE! hope to see the stuff @ B&B in july. pics | LTG

LIFE TIME GEAR | FAVORITES #53 | NIGEL CABOURN, CARHARTT, RED WING SHOES … ALL CAMOUFLAGE

i love camouflage, by sure i am not a military fan. i did my military services 20 years ago, this was okay but enough. i just like the pattern. and the worst thing you can do is wearing all this stuff together … an absolute NO-GO! just wearing one camo piece combined with non-camo is allowed. the difference from pattern to pattern is really interesting. mostly i like the classic US ARMY camouflage design from f.ex. the CARHARTT Heritage Settler Jacket, the NEW ERA STAPLE CAP and the bow tie. beside the NIGEL CABOURN designs are although very nice and special. the beeswax ARMY & CAMO CAMERAMAN JACKET is really cool and not so loud. the RED WING # 8150 and NC NAVAL PARKA SAND CAMO i like so much because of their alone standing design. especially the RWS 8150 is something special because of its strictly limited status. and at least my old brand new VOLKSWAGEN. not really camo but tan! i don’t know why all the people starring at my car? … pics | LTG, end., ushowu

now i know why so many people spoke about NC’s book SCOTT’S LAST EXPEDITION. as a graphic designer i got nervous 2 days ago when FRED from RW1905 blog gave me the small paperboard box with the embossed headline SCOTT’S LAST EXPEDITION as a gift. AWESOME … just awesome. there is nothing more to say. a great collection of historic pics combined with NC’s upcoming “SLE” stuff photographed by great ALEX TELFER. i know that the book is strictly limited and rare. thx again FRED – you gave me something special! bad pics | LTG

readers of my blog know that i am a great NIGEL CABOURN fan. i can’t remember a piece of any collection i did not like. but what i found some days ago was the climax: NIGEL CABOURN – SCOTT’S LAST EXPEDITION 1912 – 2012  photographed by ALEX TELFER. fantastic pieces, awesome photos: simply PERFECT. i saw a lot of B&B photos from the collection but these photos are the best NIGEL could get. i can’t image to do that better. most respect to mr.
