this night i will see one of my absolute favorite bands, i don’t know, maybe for the 10th time. it is a pitty but just 3 old tickets survived all these rockin’ nights. it must be in 1991 when i saw the danish guys for the first time. the album RISKN’ IT ALL was a revelation to me. D-A-D did rock’n’roll i ever wanted to hear. simple and straight, mixing some metal and country elements … rockin’! i am excited about what OLLI THE BARBER will say, because he is seeing the band for the first time live tonight. yeah: D-A-D is rockin’ the house! pics | D-A-D, LTG

this shot was made in 2004! as a “pic of the editor” for german DYNAMITE! magazine. long time ago. there you can see some of my western boots. it was not the whole collection but the most beloved boots you can see in the front. all boots in the first line are custom made in texas. since i got my femoral neck fractured in a roadbike accident 2007 i do not wear western boots so often. so i sold some not american made boots, but all my LUCCHESEs and custom boots i still own. i would never sell these wonderful boots. pic | LTG

what a wonderful vintage 2-tone WHITE’S SEMI-DRESS BOOT. one of my absolute favorite work boot styles – i own myself 4 different pairs of this iconic WHITE’S BOOT. this one is made of smooth light brown and sienna bullhide leather, 5″ low, regular toe and a VIBRAM #700. this boot is for sale @ LOST&FOUND vintage, japan. it’s asize 9.0D and the condition looks pretty good. the soles and laces seem to be knew. . pics | LOST&FOUND vintage

LTG FAVORITES #89 | NIKE iD RUNNING SHOES II

after breaking the 1.000 km bound yesterday i can wear my next pair of NIKE ID with the next run. i got these black LunarSpider LT 2 iD last week but i did not open the box before yesterday. every 500 km i allow myself a new pair of this great shit. i like it to own a pair of running shoes with my own name on it. after the bright orange NIKE iD it must be a black one now. this lightweight high tech running shoe looks in this b/w color combination a bit old school – nice. for this 1.000 km i just needed 9.5 months. when you will see the next NIKE iD the next 500 km will be done … pics | LTG

LIFE TIME GEAR GOT HIS “BEARD TOKEN”

2 days ago my BEARD TOKEN arrived. you don’t know what a BEARD TOKEN is? me i did not too, before i discovered BT on facebook. here the explanation what it is all about – interesting: In 1705,  Emperor Peter I of Russia instituted a beard tax to modernize the society of Russia following European models. Those who paid the tax were required to carry a “beard token”. This was a copper or silver token with a Russian Eagle on one side and on the other,  the lower part of a face with nose,  mouth,  whiskers,  and beard. It was inscribed with two phrases: “Money Taken” and the other side was old Cyrillic for the date 1705, but certain folklore says that future versions of the token stated “the beard is a useless burden”. if you are not a fashion beard pussy go and get your BEARDTOKEN! show your passion for beards with a BEARD TOKEN COIN, KEYCHAIN or a T-SHIRT pics | LTG & uj
