RED WING HERITAGE WOMEN’S COLLECTION | NEW STYLE

Over the last days Red Wing Heritage Women launched new styles.

The Short Engineer #3358 in a beautiful Sand Mohave Leather. As the other Short Engineers #3354 in Black Boundary Leather and the #3356 in Copper Rough and Tough Leather, the #3358 features also a Vibram 430 Mini Lug, a cushioned insole and a slimmer and for women a comfortable and perfect fit.

THE ROCKY ORIGINAL OBLIQUE-TOE HIKER by ROCKY HERITAGE BOOTS

It starts with checking Zace D. Myers Facebook profile seeing these wonderful boots the first time. Zace is the founder and owner of the denim brand ZACE USA. He introduced the return of this classic hiking boots – for sure – Made in USA. Seeing the boots more and more I had to take a more closely look and after speaking to my buddy Felix  I ordered a pair. And men, these are the most comfortable boots I ever wore and believe me, I have had a lot of different boots on my feet till today. Yesterday I went to a client shooting on location. 10 hours nonstop on my feet in the forest. Jumping around and doing art direction … nothing hurts, no tired feet. The boots are really tough but amazing light weighted. I am really excited about my 8″ Rockies. The boot is made of a full-grain leather using a Goodyear@ welt construction fitted with an oil and slip resisting Vibram® rubber outsole – the boot can be resoled for sure. Inside there is a Terra Suspension Footbed which is removable and tough enough to give a lot of comfort as I just can confirm because of yesterday. The footbed has an arch and heel designed for tremendous support and comfort. A double-ribbed, tempered steel shank provides additional arch support and foot stability. There are a lot of parts which are triple stitched! About the toe. “Oblique is a design term, referring to the shape of the boots, Oblique toe boots are designed to follow the shape of a foot and offer extra room for your big toe”. The boots are crafted in Wynne, Arkansas, and the Rocky Original Oblique-Toe Boots feature complete American Materials from the Vibram@ Sole which is made in Massachusetts, over the laces which come from Portsmouth, Ohio, to the leather. A true and honest product Made in USA. And take a look at the nice box and so special and great: the ZACE USA denim boot sacs. Damn, what a surprise when I opened the box. I love this boots. BOOT OF THE DAY | #191 | DANNER x BALL AND BUCK LIGHT BOOT

as a frequently reader of my blog you must know that i am a great fan of the classic DANNER LIGHT BOOT. i own one pair that i mostly wear for the activity this boot was rather made for: hiking. but sometimes i take my DANNERs to the city or somewhere else because of the great comfort and the heritage and iconic look. today i found this wonderful boot which is done in a collaboration between DANNER and great BALL AND BUCK. this means 1000% americana! this DANNER LIGHT uses a special leather that’s saturated with oils and wax. i love the 10oz camouflage flanks so much and the subtle blaze orange heel stitching. Check the list below for all the features. this boot is a must-have, but only a few sizes are left … and for sure the boot is strictly limited. pics | Ball and Bucks

LTG BOOT & SHOE COLLECTION | 26 | VIBERG SERVICE BOOT 1950 WITH VIBRAM 4014 WHITE CRISTY SOLE

2 months ago i did a post about my VIBERG SERVICE BOOT 1950 in black with a DAINITE SOLE. todays #26 boot of my collection is the same boot just brown colored with another sole, the WHITE CRISTY VIBRAM 4014. as the pics show, i did not wear this boot so often. i prefer the black SERVICE BOOT with its DAINITE SOLE much more. i think this sole fits the look of the boot much better. the #4014 is comfortable but it looks like a contemporary compromise to me. when i wear this boot sometimes i think if i wear a hybrid between a RED WING BOOT and a VIBERG. for sure this VIBERG SERVICE BOOT is a really perfect and best made boot but not my favorite one. if it might be yours, you can get it @ volls.de.  pics | LTG

BOOT OF THE DAY | #187 | DANNER LIGHT III LOW CUT BROWN/KHAKI

the CLASSIC DANNER LIGHT – check LTG SHOE & BOOT COLLECTION #15 from august 2012 – is my favorite hiking boot. i own this boot since 5 years and i do not only love the comfort but the old school look too. yesterday i found a low cut version of my DANNER LIGHT @ THREE WOOD, japan, – wonderful. this hiking “shoe“ named DANNER LIGHT III LOW is available in three color ways. the III LOW features the same benefits as the boot: full-grain, leather upper, PLUS 100% waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX®, vibram KLETTERLIFT sole, brass eyelets and hooks, nylon laces gold/tan colored, cushioned footbed, leather welt, made in the USA. seems to be again a japan special.

SHOE SOLE RINGS by HENDER SCHEME | A-MUST-HAVE FOR THE SHOE & BOOT MANIAC

what a simple but wonderful idea: rings made of shoe soles. i think a must-have-accessoire for shoe & boot maniacs. these nice leather pieces i found @ canadian HAVEN SHOP made by japanese shoe & boot maker HENDER SCHEME known from FREE & EASY, CLUTCH and POPEYE magazines. please check their website: it is very well done with some nice effects. the rings are made of the same materials the shoes of HENDER SCHEME are made, stacked together and polished. they are available in 3 colors: in a natural, dark brown and black finish. i think by wearing these rings they will get better and better. hey, let’s do a VIBRAM ring! pics | HAVEN & HENDER SCHEME

LTG’S FAVORITE SUMMER SHOES 2013 | THE BIRKENSTOCK & YUKETEN SUEDE TRIO

since days it is summer in germany. real summer. everyday about 25 – 30 °C with nice winds, really comfortable and smooth. beside the YUKETEN ANGLER MOCs i prefer wearing my BIRKENSTOCKS. love the brown suede colored lightweight leather and the white soles. 3 days are left before going on summer holidays to spain … work is still stressing … pics | LTG

BOOT OF THE DAY | #179 | VINTAGE REBUILT WESCO JOBMASTER

found a great looking vintage WESCO JOBMASTER at japanese HOPESMORE auction site. that classic work boot is rebuilt and desinfected. it has a doubled VIBRAM #430 sole and no size marks. they say it must be about  a US 12.5E. the current highest bid is 17.800; there are 19 hours left to get this wonderful boot. pics | HOPESMORE

BOOT OF THE DAY | #178 | ALDEN FOR BUREAU BELFAST “KUDU PLAIN TOE BLUCHER & WORK BOOT“

half a year ago i did a blog post about a KUDU INDY BOOT by ALDEN for BUREAU BELFAST and i was really fascinated about this great looking antelope leather. BUREAU BELFAST right now got 2 other KUDU styles from ALDEN: a BLUCHER and a WORK BOOT. both fitted with a custom vibram sole, dark brown eyelets, flat cotton laces and a reverse split welt. the rare KUDU leather has an oil finish. certainly is this ALDEN stuff hand made in the USA. what a wonderful footwear! pics | The Bureau Belfast
