i think this boot is one of the most exciting work boots i own: 2 colored with a touch of the 30s and 40s but so strong and heavy for what WHITE’S BOOTS are known for. but at the same time so smooth because of the used leathers. the color combination of smooth light brown water buffalo and dark brown french calf is so beautiful and extraordinary. my feet never, really never, get hurt by a WHITE’S BOOT when wearing the first times. i remember me ordering the first time a WHITE’S and i just ordered the size i knew from other work boots i wore at this time and the choice was perfect. often i read that WHITE’S fit larger – i can’t say that. i have absolutely the same size in WHITE’S as in f.ex. RWS, DANNER, YUKETEN and ALDEN boots. but i must say WHITE’S are the most comfortable ones, but at the same time weighing most.

again: living in a small word. two weeks ago another package from japan arrived. send by my friend NEKO, my personal “FREE & EASY” dealer. this friendship is a result of an ebay deal not from blogging. great. just because of NEKO i knew that F&E did 2 new special issues: COWBOY & INDIAN and WILD & GENTLE COUNTRY CLUB. she send them with my F&E april and may issues. and beside the obligatory very informative newsletter NEKO send me a present and made me a really big surprise: from the phantastic RUGGED FACTORY she gave me a HAV-A-HANK bandana. thank you so much for this! a great idea – i will use it for sure. now i am little bit ashamed that i did not open the parcel 2 weeks ago when it arrived. but you must know, when i got my magazines from japan i need some time. because after holding the mags in my hand the next hours are gone. me i am gone … not reachable for anyone, just looking and reading. reading? ok, some headlines are written in english, but: pics say often more than words … so i go, i am gone ……………. pics | LTG

on the 5th of april 2011 i did a post about the upcoming bike film “CLOSER TO THE EDGE”, a documentary about the TOURIST TROPHY on the ISLE OF MAN. my buddy VOLKER WIEGMANN from great blog www.vintagepanerai.com send this post to his friend RON because he lives on the ISLE OF MAN. nice discovery by my wife: “hey, that’s something for you ” she said to me some weeks ago in a design shop at frankfurt. sure, yes it was! it is made of black lightweight plexiglas and about 10 cm long and the arrow is about 6 cm wide. but this necklace is more a joke and a good decoration for some nice boot photos than an accessories to wear. bad pics | LTG
