DON E. & FRED thank you so much for arranging my private BUTTERO order. yesterday the package from italy arrived and i got my iPhone & Airbook sleeves. great stuff – as i expected. the 11″ Airbook sleeve is a bit bigger i thought it would be done but i love it so much like it is. and the iPhone sleeve too: just reduced to the max with a wonderful haptic. so excellent leather d’artisan work and the material itself … AWESOME!!! i am really hooked. and look at the bags where the sleeves where in … best of taste. bad pics | LTG

one of my absolute favorites is DEHEN1920. before UWE told me about this label i did not know a lot about. okay i saw the VARSITY JACKETS at HICKOREES, but too expensive to order and so i did not check it anymore. DEHEN1920 is a family-run business based in portland, oregon, USA. they have specialized in production of mens, ladies and youngsters knitwear, sweaters, cardigans and jackets as well as woolen outerwear, varsity and baseball jackets. for over 90 years DEHEN1920 has supplied sports, cheerleader and team attire to schools teams, universities and organisations. they even made jackets for the cadets at the famous military academy of the U.S. army at westpoint. another successful product was the iconic motorcycle sweater made for bikers. i will show you just some impressions. for more facts jump to AMTRAQ. pics | DEHEN1920

HOW TO LACE A BOOT #05 | TRAIN TRACK LACING

it’s time for a new lacing technique: TRAIN TRACK LACING. this method is called like this because of its train track look. again, an easy lacing technique, when the eyelets are big enough. i practiced it on my beloved RED WING BECKMAN 1912 which normally is fitted with plain brown laces. but these laces are not ideal to show you this technique in photos because of a low contrast. so i used the classic yellow/brown RWS laces – it took me some time and energy. the look is really neat and the hold is very tight: hard to get in and out of the boot. and i tried to avoid crossing the laces as shown in the graphic. try it! pics | LTG · graphic | Ian Fieggen

NIGEL CABOURN | NEW POCKET TENZING JACKET

from the actual SS12 AUTHENTIC COLLECTION, inspired by the clothing worn by the DESERT RATS – the british african troops during WWII, commanded by general MONTGOMERY. the TENZING JACKET is  an iconic NC piece, which is and was available in different styles and fabrics, but this one is really extraordinary. available at UK’s endclothing – just arrived with a lot of other NC stuff. check the new “NC ARMY PLIMSOLE” shoes. great fit to the new camou TENZING JACKET. i should start saving some money. pics | endclothing

CAMOUFLAGE RED WING SHOES # 8150 | SOME FACTS

two days ago this boot was LIFE TIME GEAR’s 111th BOOT OF THE DAY. damn, so many clicks … a RED WING SHOES voice from “the off” told me, that these boots are one of the rarest RWS ever made. just 150 boots worldwide were made in the first, and i think, only run in the years 2004 and 2005. in this years there was real CAMOUFLAGE RAGE and because of that the responsible head – he must have been a really creativ head – thought why not taking a real hunter pattern like MOSSEY OAK on a RED WING BOOT. cool decision! beside, RWS used MOSSEY OAK patterns for their hunting brand IRISH SETTER this time. so the 8150 must be the ITEM OF THIS WEEK from LIFE TIME GEAR: a real must have. thx DE for informations. pics | LTG & somewhere from the web

BOOT OF THE DAY | #111 | CAMOUFLAGE RED WING SHOES # 8150

it is years ago i saw this damn, f***ing, fancy boot the first time. i even remember the man who wears this shitty boot: it was PETER HECKMANN and i asked him “what the hell happened to this RED WING 875?” some years later i met KAMI from the RED WING STORE FRANKFURT and owner of B-74 wearing a rugged 8150. and i did not know what to think now about the boot: it was looking strange but really, really cool rugged and vintage like it was. now 3 years later after asking myself several times to own this boot or not i bought it some weeks ago. and believe me i am so happy about my 8150. it is really funny seeing the people staring at me feet … i think the RED WING STORE FRANKFURT and B-74 are the only shops worldwide selling this boot. aren’t they? the 8150 is based on a 8138 but the leather is printed with a classic “DUCK HUNTING” camouflage pattern in cooperation with MOSSY OAK®. for even a better camouflage effect you should use brown laces. i am sorry, but there is no information about the history of this boot – nowhere! come on and get one of the last 8150s ever … pics | LTG

… good to have a NIGEL CABOURN EVEREST PARKA when doing an outdoor shooting in january for a summer campaign. there was great weather yesterday near frankfurt, germany: blue sky, no clouds, no winds … but just 0 degrees.
