FROM CRAZY HEART TO TOMORROWLAND | RYAN BINGHAM

i am sure you know RYAN BINGHAM. no? yes, you do, at least from the soundtrack of CRAZY HEART where great JEFF BRIDGES played an old countrystar. RYAN got an OSCAR for the song “THE WEARY KIND” and a lot of other awards. this was 2010. in that year he released “JUNKY STAR” produced by T BONE BURNETT and got into the top 20 us-charts – a success for a country album! after that RYAN left UNIVERSAL’S LOST HIGHWAY label and founded an own one. respect! the result is the brand new long-player TOMORROWLAND. his voice got rougher and sometimes he reminds to BRAYN ADAMS or BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN. there are some very nice quiet songs,  combined by southern rockin’ tracks, sometimes nearly a bit grungy, some hymns, sometimes dirty – i like this mix. and he wears cool boots: RED WING SHOES IRON RANGER # 8111. see the last pic. pics & vid | © RYAN BINGHAM

EDWIN x BURG & SCHILD COLLABORATION | BLACK COLLECTION 14OZ BLACK / BLACK RED LISTED SELVAGE DENIM

because of not being in berlin to join the 5th anniversary party of BURG & SCHILD i saved a lot of traveling money and so i ordered some anniversary stuff to celebrate this party with KAY, SHANE and TIM from out of my hometown. this mega black piece of denim is the second part of my order and i am really impressed about this. i never saw such a black denim before. the pockets are black twill and internally printed. with its 14oz. black/black red listed selvage denim from japanese mill, kaihara, it is very comfortable. and it has a lot of awesome details like the donut buttons, made from copper metal and hand panited with black enamel, or BURG & SCHILD leather patch that has been hand cut and hand embossed. i got number 44 of 100 limited pieces, numbered by hand – fifty pieces, 10 for each year B&S had been working with EDWIN. great idea and nice extra: every jeans comes in hand made tote bag made of recycled military ground sheets. everything is perfect, absolute … pics | LTG

CARHARTT FOR KIDS | BEST FOR MY RUGGED BOY

since my son LEVI is born i do every 2 years a big order CARHARTT FOR KIDS at DUNGAREES.NET. great stuff and not only because of good simple old school looking but because of the durability. LEVI is a boy who loves being outdoor and playing in the dirt without any attention if his wear gets dirty or even broken in. we have CARHARTT FOR KIDS shirts and sweat shirt jackets which are 4 years old and they still look perfect and good. and the best is, that you get this stuff for a really good price in the states. in europe you have no chance to buy CFK – no way. so this morning i went to the customs to get LEVI’s CFK order out. i bought some denim, dungarees – they are en detail like the ones for adults, uncommon size … – shirts for next summer and sweater. the most exciting piece is LEVI’s new fall and spring RANCHER JACKET in cobalt blue. quilted flannel lined and so smooth. i think, he will love it. check DUNGAREES.NET. RED WING SHOES # 101 POSTMAN

2 days ago i posted that KLAUS from volls.de has had a surprise for me: it was a present. a special present: the iconic # 101 from RED WING SHOES – the POSTMAN. it took me a long time to think about the fact if i like the shoe or not. i always asked me if i should give it a try. now KLAUS did the decision for me and i must tell you this classic shoe is an absolute must have for RED WING lovers. it looks great at the feet, is mega comfortable and full of heritage. thanks again KLAUS. i got my # 101 as a thx from KLAUS for our good teamwork and my support in marketing and design for volls.de. we did a lot the last time and i think our little team works perfect. i am curios about our next projects and exciting about the new designed packages. hope they will arrive soon! pics | LTG

nice find on ETSY. JOHN FINDRA from south carolina is a retired business man “who decided to start making junkers” in 1-24th scale. after selling the first models on his wife’s ETSY site he started an own shop named “CLASSICWRECKS”. JOHN wrecks and rusts the cars and put on extra details and paintings by hand. he loves working with a lot of different materials like plastic, wood, metal and wires. great idea, super results – unique! photos | JOHN FINDRAS

LTG FAVORITES #77 | GITMAN VINTAGE

just a short visit @ volls.de this morning. back from hiking last sunday it is really terrible at the office: a lot of work, no time for nothing. but after getting my hair cut refreshed this morning @ OLLI THE BARBER i went to volls.de because KLAUS has had a surprise for me. damn, what a surprise!!! i’ll post later this week. beside he showed me some new stuff in a nutshell. i can tell you, the new GITMAN VINTAGE stuff is so nice. so i had to take this smart flannel shirt with me – perfect for colder winter days, so smooth, great color, old school pattern … just awesome and there are much more great shirts. the GITMAN VINTAGE stuff isn’t online yet, because it arrived yesterday afternoon. check out volls.de the next days for updates. pic | LTG
