i found this prints at ETSY.com – you can buy them! and i love this style. looks like porous printing, like serigraphs. STEVE does not only illustrations, he is a really good comic artist, too. he says: “My portfolio is an assemblage of personal art,  collaboration,   as well as odds – and – ends which have happened along the way. I’ve been a painter and traditional artist for most of my life,  crossing over to computer graphics in the the early 90’s. Since then,  my focus has been on sequential story telling,  specifically as a means to express ideas which could not be so easily represented in a singular artwork. Until recently,  my main tool had been Adobe Illustrator,  but I’ve gradually started introducing Photoshop into my work. This software change was to gain a more expressive style,  approaching an outcome closer to drawing and painting,  rather than the more rigid method I used in Illustrator.” pics | Steve Morris

what a surprise: checking my postbox this morning i found a big letter. awesome, it was from ALEXANDER who does the great be-cause – style, travle, collecting and food blog. some time ago we mailed about fly-fishing, and now he sent me a postcard from BODENSEE region and this wonderful vintage TROUT FISHERMEN’S DIGEST book. i love it, alex! great pictures, i think from sixties and seventies, and great stories. thank you so much. hope, to meet you some day; i think we could make this happen. bad pic | LTG, bandana with fly-fishing flasher from volls.de

WITH THE MISSION IN DAS BETT

as i assumed: THE MISSION played yesterday evening in DAS BETT at frankfurt an excellent gig. it was a very intimate concert, because the club is so small that you felt WAYNE HUSSEY’s breath in front of the stage. GREAT! this live performance will take a front place in my all-time concert chart. KLAUS was very enthused, too AND thx for the invitation! it was a great evening with three original members of THE MISSION and all the hits of the band. sometimes i thought time was turned back to the late eighties, all the people in black, their styles, the music … the video is from the gig at BRIXTON ACADEMY four days ago. pics | Klaus with iphone 4G


AND i found it!!! the ticket from 1987 when i saw THE MISSION the first time: at the #1 BIZZARE FESTIVAL at famous LORELEY. i remember that the festival was wonderful and me … very young …
