i think this tall 17″ engineer boot is rare. me, i did not see often a RED WING engineer boot with this height. it is an eBay offer, that now reached the $44,00 mark. the seller found a number which could be an advise for the RWS style: D27391 – i do not know … the boot and the creep sole are rugged but seem to be still in good condition, marked with a size 9.5 D. pics | ebay seller jcisjunk

MEMOIRS – GOOD OLD BOOTS | RED WING SHOE STORE FRANKFURT 16TH FEBRUARY | PART II
the evening time was running through so fast. just a few “SAUER GESPRITZE” two shots of STETSON WHISKEY … STETSON? i have to ask KAMI for the whiskey: it was STETSON labelled, genial smooth and its caramel taste was awesome: i want more of this! meeting a lot of friends and got to know some new friends, especially ESTHER, WHYTSE and MATTHIJS from the european RED WING HERITAGE headquater were so kind, wonderful, funny and liable – great! i have had a lot of interesting talks about boots, RWS and some other unimportant things that make life so livable if you understand what i mean … beside there was the exhibition: great stuff to look at and to read the stories. thx the RED WING STORE FRANKFURT TEAM for the evening. bad pics | LTG made with my new mini LUMIX with the wrong tune-up – damn …

BOOT OF THE DAY | #113 | RED WING SHOES VINTAGE PECOS # 866
a rugged “BOB THE BUILDER” boot. i own one, too, a rare one in the same color, the classic beautiful RED WING ORO RUSSET PORTAGE but in much better condition. hard to find toady. you just can get the 866 PECOS in RED WING “ORO-IGINAL” leather color. this 1980s RWS boot shown here is really nice broken in. pics | groovy clothing shop
HOW TO LACE A BOOT #05 | TRAIN TRACK LACING
it’s time for a new lacing technique: TRAIN TRACK LACING. this method is called like this because of its train track look. again, an easy lacing technique, when the eyelets are big enough. i practiced it on my beloved RED WING BECKMAN 1912 which normally is fitted with plain brown laces. but these laces are not ideal to show you this technique in photos because of a low contrast. so i used the classic yellow/brown RWS laces – it took me some time and energy. the look is really neat and the hold is very tight: hard to get in and out of the boot. and i tried to avoid crossing the laces as shown in the graphic. try it! pics | LTG · graphic | Ian Fieggen
CAMOUFLAGE RED WING SHOES # 8150 | SOME FACTS
two days ago this boot was LIFE TIME GEAR’s 111th BOOT OF THE DAY. damn, so many clicks … a RED WING SHOES voice from “the off” told me, that these boots are one of the rarest RWS ever made. just 150 boots worldwide were made in the first, and i think, only run in the years 2004 and 2005. in this years there was real CAMOUFLAGE RAGE and because of that the responsible head – he must have been a really creativ head – thought why not taking a real hunter pattern like MOSSEY OAK on a RED WING BOOT. cool decision! beside, RWS used MOSSEY OAK patterns for their hunting brand IRISH SETTER this time. so the 8150 must be the ITEM OF THIS WEEK from LIFE TIME GEAR: a real must have. thx DE for informations. pics | LTG & somewhere from the web
BOOT OF THE DAY | #111 | CAMOUFLAGE RED WING SHOES # 8150
it is years ago i saw this damn, f***ing, fancy boot the first time. i even remember the man who wears this shitty boot: it was PETER HECKMANN and i asked him “what the hell happened to this RED WING 875?” some years later i met KAMI from the RED WING STORE FRANKFURT and owner of B-74 wearing a rugged 8150. and i did not know what to think now about the boot: it was looking strange but really, really cool rugged and vintage like it was. now 3 years later after asking myself several times to own this boot or not i bought it some weeks ago. and believe me i am so happy about my 8150. it is really funny seeing the people staring at me feet … i think the RED WING STORE FRANKFURT and B-74 are the only shops worldwide selling this boot. aren’t they? the 8150 is based on a 8138 but the leather is printed with a classic “DUCK HUNTING” camouflage pattern in cooperation with MOSSY OAK®. for even a better camouflage effect you should use brown laces. i am sorry, but there is no information about the history of this boot – nowhere! come on and get one of the last 8150s ever … pics | LTG
BOOT OF THE DAY | #110 | VINTAGE RED WING SHOES # 855
a rare and awesome boot in good condition: well used RED WING #855 found at GROOVY, japan. i own the same boot in i would say in an even better condition, but it is a RWS IRISH SETTER. i like this boot so much because of its three different sorts of eyelets and the classic RED WING colour. that’s really interesting. this 855 is from the 70s, sized 11B and available for 178.53 euros. pics | GROOVY
SEEMS TO BE A FAKE >> RED WING SHOES x CreamSoda COLLABORATION
sorry, damn, when i saw these f**ing boots the first time i asked me why don’t they have a red wing cushion crepe sole. that’s normal when RWS does a collab in a CHUKKA boot or something similar. and where is the RWS brand type? just a few minutes ago i got a mail from someone who knows nearly everything about RWS, informations from an absolute reliable source. he told me: “This boot doesn’t have a RW handwriting judging it by looking at the triple stitch and the heel counter stitching quality and placement…this seems more like a RW wannabe / look alike – 200% sure” thx DE!
never heard before about this collaboration. and no more infos than this pics. looks like a massive 3 eyelet traditional WORK CHUKKA with a bright white VIBRAM #2021 sole. 3 colours available. where to buy or to get more infos? i do not know. check it at BEE – maybe you’ll find a link. i did not, but i like the look, although i do not like chukkas so much. pics | BEE
HOW TO TUMBLE … OR JUDE LAW WEARS RED WING SHOES …
… probably only in films. but this is a nice shot. found somewhere in a tumblr blog. “tumbling” – i do not like this fast consuming pictures, but sometimes you really find some really interesting things you never saw before. but most angrily is that you find no infos about the pics and where they are from. pic | somewhere from the www – sorry …
