RED WING SHOES #9197 6 INCH POSTMAN

Seems to be a RED WING SHOES week on Life Time Gear. It’s about missing time to do this post much earlier. Some weeks ago I took this beauty with me from volls.de to the LTG Central – an absolute Must-Have for me. I think for a lot of other so-called RWS fans not, because of its pure, so classic and unusual “not so contemporary fashion compatible” look. And I think to recognize that this Postman wasn’t bespoken so often when it was launched … whatever I love it, but the boot distresses me so much. It’s the same as it was with the “normal” low #101 POSTMAN when I wore it the first miles. The #9197 is modeled after that famous #101 style. But when you broke the boot it will be a companion for life … Life Team Gear! Indestructible with its Black Chaparral leather, the black cushion crepe and wedge outsole. And again: this is a RWS Model that will be just available for a limited time – good to know! RED WING SHOES | RED WING HERITAGE’ 5 NEW POSTMAN SERIES

yesterday i got the information from the RWS HERITAGE central europe, that the 5 new POSTMAN styles are now available @ the RWS dealers around europe. so one of the most beloved but at the same time hated styles the #101 now gets a fashion touch – with all this new colors and mostly because of the white RWS cushion crepe outsole which is really important for a lot, maybe the most of all the RWS lovers. for me, there is only one POSTMAN: the #101. here some information from RWS HERITAGE: “Red Wing Heritage proudly presents 5 new Postman shoes,  inspired by style no.101,  Red Wing’s original postman shoe. Designed, to meet Postal Service requirements,  the 101 is sturdy, sleek and simplistic and these characteristics served America’s, mailmen well. First introduced in 1954, Red Wing is now expanding on this style with five more casual variations. The new Postman shoes are built using the same leather upper as the 101 including a dog tail, blind eyelets and a Goodyear, Welt. Premium Red Wing leathers,  made at Red Wing Shoe’s very own S.B. Foot tannery are used to craft the new, Postman. The cushion crepe outsole gives these boots as much comfort as the 101, allowing for the longer walks,  as a, postman would., The Postman comes in 5 colors. RED WING SHOES | CUSTOMIZED POSTMAN #101

yes, yes, yes – this is it! i love the #101 – the POSTMAN. my first pair was a present from KLAUS c/o VOLLS.DE. i know this post is something special for shoe nerds … but sorry, this is a RED WING SHOE for real RED WING LOVERS and not for fashion pussies! and the best: the customized #101 means for me one step further. hm, what do you think? would you prefer the one with the original cushion sole or the customized #101 one with the nitrile black cork sole, you may know f.ex. from RED WING’S black IRON RANGER #8114? i love the #101 look with this heel construction. it reminds me a classic U.S. navy officer shoe. but i like both and i won’t give one of them away because for me they are different shoes. KAMI c/o RED WING SHOE STORE FRANKFURT/GERMANY made the customized #101 for me. i can’t remember if the first miles with the original #101 hurt so much as they do with the customized one. damn. everyday i wear them just a few hours indoor and i am happy to get them off. but … it’s okay. the day will come when they got broken – this shoe is worth the trouble! pics | LTG
