TELLASON GERMANY | ONLINE SHOP RELAUNCHED

The last weeks I relaunched the www.tellason.de site and online shop. I did a lot of new photos to give the page a clear and uniform look. I also put the new spring/summer stuff 2021 online we stock here at the Tellason Germany warehouse in Frankfurt. It is just a small selection but you’ll find a lot of “Life Time Gear” pieces. One of my absolute favorites is the combination of the bone colored “Baker Jacket”, “JK Vest” and “Work Pant”. The short version of Tellason’s iconic “Fatigue Pant” will be your best companion for the upcoming summer – available in olive, navy and british tan made of 100% cotton sateen. Also perfect for summer and warmer spring days is this new stuff made of 100% lightweight Ripstop cotton: “Field Jacket”, “BDU Jacket”, “Fatigue Pants” in black and olive and the “Bowling Shirt” … What are your Tellason summertime favorites?

We also restocked the Garment Dyed “Coverall Jackets” made in USA of 13oz. bull denim … I own myself the “Mustard” and the “International Orange” one. I think you can’t have enough Coverall Jackets 😉 this is what I call “Life Time Gear” at its best. Have a great weekend folks.

VINTAGE RED WING BOOTS STYLE #956

Hi folks, I hope you have had a relaxed Xmas time … or still have. As you know, the most beautiful presents are often the one you give to yourself. So I did for my boot collection: a Red Wing Boot style #956 in very good shape. Hard to find, hard to get. Shot these on a Japanese auction on Christmas eve – what a luck. I gave a fixed price and I did it. I love these simple style so much; must be from the late 80s or early 90s. They are now on their way to the LTG central.

RED WING SHOES NEWS | LAUNCH OF WORK CHUKKA #3148 IN BLACK CHROME LEATHER

Hi guys, RWS news will not end this autumn. Today the WORK CHUKKA #3148 was launched. In 2010 The Red Wing Shoe Company developed the WORK CHUKKA in black just for the Japanese market. The BLACK CHROME leather of the #3148 is also used on this really tough and rugged Red Wing Engineer #2268. The weight of the leather is HHH, what means that it is about 2.2-2.4 mm thick. This the thickest leather Red Wing Heritage uses for their boots. The #3148 is the 5th WORK CHUKKA style.

Something about the history of the WORK CHUKKAS RWS tells us: “Unlike other Red Wing boots, the chukka was designed for lighter, indoor work that includes bending, climbing and kneeling. Their crepe outsoles allowed these indoor workers to stay comfortable, while not scratching floors or making a mess. From the late 1950s and ‘60s, American fashion style became more rough and casual. actual work denim work wear became one of the fashion trends. The casual trend was also had an effect on the work wear and boots. Ankle height work boots and Chukka work boots where developed and introduced to follow this casual trend. At same time The Red Wing Shoe Compagny started to use the cushion crepe wedge sole for several work boots styles. The functional and novel outsole was incorporated in the Chukka that  was a new work boot at the time. The root of current chukka style #850 was also launched around the same time in 1954. The work chukka was worn mainly in lighter work or in the weekends for leisure and light outdoor activitys.”

This week, the last style of the new RED WING HERITAGE WOMEN’S COLLECTION the “HARRIET” was released. The style is part of the MODERN LINE I presented at the beginning of lastSeptember. The HARRIET is provided with the No. 110 last which features a slightly tapered round toe for a  comfortable fit and a timeless look. Available in 3 colorways: #3390HARRIET in Cognac Excalibur Leather, #3391 HARRIET in Black Boundary Leather and #3392 HARRIET Mahagony Oro-iginal Leather. RED WING HERITAGE WOMEN’S COLLECTION | THE “MODERN” LINE

This is the third product line of the last week launched RED WING HERITAGE WOMEN’S COLLECTION: the “MODERN”line. 2 styles “CLARA” and “LILLIAN” in different colorways were launched, the third named “HARRIET” will come to the stores in October. For me this line is not what RED WING SHOES are for me, but I am sure that a lot of Ladies will love this styles. RED WING about the “MODERN” line: “Both beautiful and  practical, our Modern Collection reinterprets our most classic designs for women. Each style is built on a genuine leather-stacked heel and a three-quarter Goodyear welt and showcases our premium s.b. Foot leathers.” All stacked leather heeled boots of the “MODERN” line got the the No. 110 last, which features a slightly tapered round toe for a comfortable fit and a timeless look. RED WING HERITAGE WOMEN’S COLLECTION | THE “CORE” LINE

Yes, the “CORE” line is my favorite one! This line is what RED WING means to me, also for women: a perfect adaption of men’s classics for women’s feet. Iconic styles like the Moc Toe #875, the Iron Ranger #8111 and the Engineer #2990 are developed for women’s feet requirements and needs. A perfect idea, knowing a lot of women wearing RED WING SHOES for years anyway. My wife never wailed about heavy or uncomfortable boots, but I know other ladies who did. So, right now they will get the perfect RED WING labeled boot with a perfect fit. This is what RED WING HERITAGE tells us about the “CORE” line: “Since our original Red Wing Heritage collection first started hitting the streets nearly a decade ago, women around the world have proudly worn our boots. Last No. 105 is based on our original Classic Moc, this is Red Wing’s most iconic style like the mentioned #875. The women’s version has been slimmed down just a bit in the width and toe for a true women’s fit. Sounds good! Last No. 107 is used to give shape to the engineer boots. Based on the men’s #522, it’s a pull on lace that fits true to size. The No. 106 last is based on one of RED WING’s oldest lasts, the 8 last, slightly modified for a better fit and sleeker feel for women. This timeless round toe shape gives the character to many of most popular RED WING boots. RED WING HERITAGE WOMEN’S COLLECTION | THE “LEGACY” LINE

Today the RED WING HERITAGE WOMEN’S COLLECTION was launched. The next days I will show you the different lines and boots this collection offers our ladies. I will start with the “LEGACY” line which includes one style in two different colorways: the GLORIA. Red Wing Shoes says: “At Red Wing Shoes we’re incredibly proud of our 110-year history of making footwear of the finest quality and craftsmanship. The purpose of our Legacy Collection is to honor and build upon that history with progressive designs inspired by our boots of yesteryear. These were the very boots worn by women shaping and defining the 20th century, optimized for utmost comfort, wearability, and durability.” The GLORIA is available in a ”black boundary leather” which is style #3385 and a very nice brown named “mahogany oro-iginal leather” which is style #3386 and one of my absolute favorites of the new women’s collection. The used No. 109 last is based on Red Wing Shoe Company’s first style for women, the Gloria, carefully updated for a modern look and feel. RED WING SHOES | NEW RELEASE: COOPER MOC #2954 & #2964

It seems to be a RED WING SHOES release week. Guys, the next new styles arrived at the stores: the COOPER, available in “AMBER HARNESS | #2954” and “BLACK HARNESS | #2964“. The classic design of the iconic RWS styles #875 and #877, which were popular in the past among sport and hunting enthusiasts, later construction workers, with that nowadays so beloved Cushion Crepe Sole, fueled the development of RED WING SHOES new COOPER collection. Okay – the COOPER – named for the woodworkers, who build barrels and casks. Compared to the #875 the COOPER shows two elementary differences: a smart profiled Vibram® 430 Mini-lug sole and speed hooks.
