Because of the Pecos Post today @redwingfrankfurt on Instagram and Facebook I decided to do a more detailed post at LTG Blog. So you have some views how nice this great boot ages. The iconic Red Wing “PECOS” boot style has a long history. In 1930 this “pull on” boot was introduced especially at this time for ranchers, cowboys and drilling roughnecks. The Pecos features till today a simple but at the same time so nice and timeless design, has a very comfortable fit and the more it get rugged the better it looks – as you see in the pics below. This boot is still made the same way as in these early days with quality leathers in our factory in Red Wing. And the time when a Pecos was worn just for working is long ago. It is the perfect boot for the urban prairie, for biker or just to stroll around. At the end of the last year it was  launched a very special Pecos: this limited #4327 Red Wing x Eat Dust Pecos in this wonderful Oro russet Abilene roughout leather. The nicest Pecos ever I think! The Pecos is available at Red Wing Shoe Store Frankfurt online and in-store. AND it is strictly limited! pics | LTG + Jelle Keppens for Red Wing Heritage

Originally these TIMEX x RED WING SHOES COLLABORATION WATCHES were just sold in Japan. Online in Europe just @ endclothing but right now RED WING SHOE STORE FRANKFURT got a strictly limited supply. You can buy the watches online – the only dealer in Germany – or directly in the store. The collaboration watch is available in three styles and sizes: 38 mm, 40 mm and a 42 mm Chrono. Each watch features vintage-inspired dials, stainless steel casing, is up to 50 meters water resistant, INDIGLO@ Night Light and Quick Date®. But the icing on the cake is that each watch is outfitted with an awesome premium leather strap supplied by the master tanners at RED WING SHOES – handcrafted for sure! I don’t know exactly what leather color the strap has. It is similar to the famous Oro-Legacy (oil tanned) former known as Oro-iginal but a little bit darker, no more colorful. This leather is used for the icons #875 Moc Toe and #877 Irish Setter. The watches come in a very nice designed box. For a timepiece styled on historic designs with a premium leather band that will age beautifully these watches are incredibly affordable check it @ RED WING FRANKFURT’s ONLINE STORE or directly in the store … remember: these are strictly limited! pics LTG | RWS

Last week  I got a big envelope. Thinking “What’s in there?” I checked the writing of the address … okay, this was written by someone who knows what he does: so nice! KIM “THE BUTCHER” SCHREINER send me something. But, not something: a gift pack of 2 illustrations “The Native Pack”, which contains two A3 nitroprints on recovered dead stock paper signed, numbered and embossed. I got #17 … f***ing amazing! And more … the envelope contained also two “Bull Piss” poster, format A3 limited to 51 pieces. These are Risoprints on Black Meta Paper … so awesome. One for me, one for Uwe Maier c/o Amtraq Distribution as a THX for something. And I got a lot of “BUTCHER” sticker, I love sticker, and these are really cool. Thx Kim! It was a pleasure to get all these things … thank you so much! Check Kim’s Online store and his website! What a great artist! pics | LTG | art | KIM “THE BUTCHER” SCHREINER

As a constant reader of LTG Blog you must know that I love to get limited things. So it was with this beautiful Timex Archive watch. As a great fan of 1ST PAT–RN stuff I am so happy to own #38 of just 130 produced pieces. And guys, hurry up, there are just a few left @ THE BUREAU – last restock! Her just some facts:
_ Utility watch taken from The Waterbury collection with a 24hr military dial
_ quartz movement
_ Indiglo technology
_ water resistant to 50m
_ stainless steel case
_ an exclusive reversible Mil/Trad spec strap.
So old school, so classical, so simple … so nice. Cristiano Berto owner and founder of 1ST PAT–RN about the collaboration watch: “Inspiration and research was important part of the process when I’ve worked with Timex Archive staff to create the 1ST PAT-RN project. Often, especially in watchmaking, it’s easy to see out there some “re-issued” or “remake” or “homage”. It’s a easy process that does not involve so much time: just see a piece, and reproduce it. Done! No pain!  I don’t like so much that way when I design. Everything.  For the Timex Archive X 1ST PAT-RN project I have try to apply my method, exactly the same I use for my collection.  I’m started on a old Timex watch from my archive bought 23 years ago. Made in Great Britan. I’ve study any detail and working as my method always drive me (make it clean, simple and finally, chic) I have “clean” all the “surplus” details: my question was “what make this old Timex watch great?” The anwer was easy: “combination of font shapes and white, red colors” and I have try to work *only* with this three elements, place them in the fantastic Waterbury case, sized 38 mm. and use a vintage shaped plexy: simple ingredients and the Timex staff made all the great job to realize this. The result, in my opinion, was exactly what I have expected: simple, chic, easy to read. The strap is another great story to tell …” Check Cristianos FB site to read – interesting for sure! So here just some impressions and detail shots of this awesome life time gear piece. pics | LTG

He guys maybe you remember a blog post from July 2015 when I introduced the BUTTS AND SHOULDERS boots. Some days ago my buddy Wouter Munnichs c/o BUTTS AND SHOULDERS and LONG JOHN blog told me that the production of these so nice boots started. After a testing phase on the streets and a lot of positive reactions, they start the first production run which will bring strictly limited 100 pairs to you. These boots are all hand numbered with a unique number – special – great idea, I like this a lot! The Boots are made of natural tanned leather in a small factory in Portugal – for sure made by hand with the “Goodyear Welted” construction. Get your limited pair here: Please check the video below to get some more really interesting impressions of the idea, the making process and more – I am sure, you’ll like it! pics & video | Butts and Shoulders

For sure one of my absolute favorites from my cap collection: the TSPTR x EBBETS POPEYE BALLCAP. It mus be one of my favs because of being a great POPEYE fan since a child and EBBETS FIELD FLANNELS are my most beloved caps – what a perfect collaboration! And so special, so limited. As all EBBETS Caps this one is for sure made in the USA. It is an authentic 1960’s ball cap reproduction built of 14oz indigo dyed denim, featuring a high quality embroidered POPEYE badge, a horse hair buckram crown, satin taping, a cotton sweatband and an adjustable leather strap. Available exclusive @ TSPTR. This site is a trap because you’ll find so much more nice great stuff. As I remember I got my stuff really fast last spring – so maybe you can get on of the best caps ever right in time before Xmas. pics | LTG

As a passionated CAMARO lover I got touched so much by this news. It sounds quite simple what CR SUPERCARS® does, but it is so amazing and much more than just putting some high-tech stuff to an older car. NO – CR SUPERCARS® never loose the responsibility for the classic and heritage look and philosophie of the original they work with: „CR Supercars is a new division of Classic Recreations and is dedicated to building turn-key supercars with styling from classic American muscle cars mated to the latest high-tech engine and chassis components. The result is an incredible pro touring car with desirable lines of the most classic muscle car in history.” Right now they presented their 1969 CAMARO project “CR1” @ SEMA. The look of the blue „recreated“ CAMARO is damn nice but you can choose between 7 colors. My favorite? No discussion: orange. You can upgrade this beast with a LS9 GM Performance to 685 H.P! There are a lot of specs which make your Chevy or Muscle Car heart beat so fast … the price also, but I am sure the money is better invested in a CR1 CAMARO than in so many todays soulless f***ing expensive sportcars which look so similar … pics |

Seems to be a RED WING SHOES week on Life Time Gear. It’s about missing time to do this post much earlier. Some weeks ago I took this beauty with me from to the LTG Central – an absolute Must-Have for me. I think for a lot of other so-called RWS fans not, because of its pure, so classic and unusual “not so contemporary fashion compatible” look. And I think to recognize that this Postman wasn’t bespoken so often when it was launched … whatever I love it, but the boot distresses me so much. It’s the same as it was with the “normal” low #101 POSTMAN when I wore it the first miles. The #9197 is modeled after that famous #101 style. But when you broke the boot it will be a companion for life … Life Team Gear! Indestructible with its Black Chaparral leather, the black cushion crepe and wedge outsole. And again: this is a RWS Model that will be just available for a limited time – good to know! The #9197 is available @ – not online right now, because there will be a relaunch of the shop for the upcoming winter season soon, send Klaus an email – or @ the Red Wing Stores around the world f.ex. Red Wing Frankfurt. pics | LTG

@ first some really great news for all RWS aficionados: The Online Store of Red Wing Shoe Store Frankfurt, Germany, has reopened after a complete relaunch:! And I love this clean graphic style so much. I do not want to see the 877th rugged or vintage look-a-like page. Complements. Kami you did a perfect job with your team! So we did a test shopping some days before the shop went online … the result was the brand new limited RED WING #8882 – a perfect online order: Ordered in the morning and the next day the boot arrived. The online order process itself is very simple, fast and smooth … it works!

Constant readers of LTG Blog know that I like blue RWS a lot. Two years ago I got the indigo colored classic work #8100 Oxford from Japan and I still love it. The #8882 is the same shoe just 6″ high like the classic #875, moc toed, made of Indigo Portage Leather and completed by the Traction Tred Cushion Crepe Wedge. Very nice is the brown ending of the bootleg – a small detail, but I love the contrast between the rich blue and brown leather. Another nice feature: you don’t get only the standard Red Wing Shoe Laces but a second pair made of leather. The leather laces look very nice but for me these are not so practical. Okay guys … these blue beauties are limited – order your #8882 @ Red Wing Shoe Store Frankfurt online right now. pics | LTG
