BMW MOTORRAD / MOTORCYCLES | R nineT NEW MODELS 2021

Since three months I am the proud owner of a new BMW R nineT Srambler. One of the best decisions I did the last years – after a 19 years break I decided to ride a motorbike again. And believe me the “Scrambler” is such a great bike: So powerful with its 110 ps and 1200 ccm, so nice with its puristic look and heritage design. For me the perfect bike – absolutely. In 2021 BMW will launch the next range R nineT models with new designs, technical innovations and serial extras. Very interesting, but if I really like the new designs especially of the Scrambler … hm …  I don’t know, but feel free to take a peek. Reduced to the max and most plainness I choose a pure brushed aluminium tank which is still available as an extra 😉 For more and detailed information please visit BMW Motorrad

BIKE SUMMER SEASON OPENING | LES APACHES DE FRANCFORT x B74 SELECTED GOODS

Last Saturday I joined the Summer Season Opening 2018 of “Les Apaches de Francfort” at B74 Selected Goods in Frankfurt. It was a fuckin’ great day with best weather, more than 80!!! bikes, best food, drinks and some Rock’n’Roll. From 11:30 to 15:00 the folks were on the road and after that the party started. So many different people, so many different bikes, no clichés at all – everything seemed to be really authentic. It was great to be there and to take a breath of this wonderful atmosphere. pics | LTG

VINTAGE RED WING BOOTS STYLE #956

Hi folks, I hope you have had a relaxed Xmas time … or still have. As you know, the most beautiful presents are often the one you give to yourself. So I did for my boot collection: a Red Wing Boot style #956 in very good shape. Hard to find, hard to get. Shot these on a Japanese auction on Christmas eve – what a luck. I gave a fixed price and I did it. I love these simple style so much; must be from the late 80s or early 90s. They are now on their way to the LTG central.

For those who want to know something about the history of this new RWS Boot: “In America’s 20th century, the bold and hardworking men who labored on oil rigs had one of the most dangerous occupations around. In order to do their jobs in these hazardous conditions the men needed to be tough and have a taste for challenging work. These traits were how oil rig workers received the nickname, “Roughnecks.” Inspired by these hardworking roughnecks, Red Wing’s Round Lug styles were built not only to look tough, but act tough. Their distinctively rugged appearance is enhanced by our classic Roughneck leather.

TELLASON | NEW FATIGUE PANT MADE OF 7.5 OZ BRITISH KHAKI TWILL FROM JAPAN

In February 2016 I wrote a blog post about 2 TELLASON Fatigue pants made of 8.5 oz cotton sateen in Olive Green and Khaki. These 2 pants where my constant companions this summer. The guys @ TELLASON now did a third Fatigue Pant, which is even smoother than the first I got. I love this touch and feel from the first moment on I tried this pant. It is TELLASON’s take on the iconic OD-107 fatigue pant from the Vietnam area. The new Fatigue comes in 7.5 oz 100% cotton twill from Japan, raw and unwashed, but so comfortable. With a tapered leg, zip fly, flap back pockets. For sure made in San Francisco.
