found this just some minutes ago at spiegel.de when i checked the news for today. isn’t this ELECTRO HUMMER HX sweet? when GM stopped 2010 the production of the HUMMER they sold the license to china. UK based MEV owns a license too and produces this “political correct” HUMMER HX. 20 PS power, 45 km/h slow and about 30 to 50 km can be done with this shrink HUMMER. in germany not one “HUMMER-lein“ could be sold. MEV says that the most cars were shipped to the USA for the use at golf courses or big housing estates – no wonder: about 18.000 EURO must be paid for this little thing. too expensive and the electro powered engine technic is an old one. pics | TOM GRÜNWEG

half a year ago i did a blog post about a KUDU INDY BOOT by ALDEN for BUREAU BELFAST and i was really fascinated about this great looking antelope leather. BUREAU BELFAST right now got 2 other KUDU styles from ALDEN: a BLUCHER and a WORK BOOT. both fitted with a custom vibram sole, dark brown eyelets, flat cotton laces and a reverse split welt. the rare KUDU leather has an oil finish. certainly is this ALDEN stuff hand made in the USA. what a wonderful footwear! pics | The Bureau Belfast

A LETTER FROM THE USA | FROM FRED STRAIGHT OF WESTLAND DISTILLERY

mostly when FRED c/o REDWING1905 blog goes to the states he sends me a letter. at this speedy times it is so nice to get a REAL LETTER brought to you by the postman straight into your letterbox. you open the box with a real key, take a look at the sender, the stamps, then you take a knife to open the letter, and then you read a nice handwriten message … perfect, normal, but nearly old school nowadays. FRED sent me a letter from the famous WESTLAND DISTILLERY, seattle, with MUSCLE CAR stamps – i did a post about these beautiful little paper things some weeks ago – and an awesome card with a beautiful classic american graphic. so nice. FRED wrote that this would be the coolest whiskey bar of the USA. it is a pitty that you can’t find some pics and more infos @ their homepage: www.westlanddistillery.com. okay, first release of their american single malt whiskey will be fall 2013. pics | LTG

RED WING SHOES JAPAN | A BOOKLET ABOUT THE HISTORY, MATERIALS, SHOE CARE AN REPAIR

with my #8100 i found very well done booklet in the RWS box. so nice designed with some old school illustrations and graphics, many photos how to care the RWS boots and a lot of information. this is japanese style as i know: perfect! en detail! when i buy a pair of  RWS in germany or USA i don’t get such a nice booklet. pics | LTG
