1ST PAT-RN | THE CANSIGLIO & VASSAR JACKETS

As a constant reader of LIFE-TIME-GEAR you know that I am a great fan of CRISTIANO BERTO’s label 1ST PAT-RN. Some weeks ago the german Distribution for this wonderful label Uwe E. Maier, c/o Amtraq Distribution, gave me a CANSIGLIO Jacket for me to try and a VASSAR Jacket for my wife. Both are pieces from “ THE INTERNATIONAL TRAD” collection CRISTIANO offers every season. THE INTERNATIONAL TRAD is inspired by the 1960s East Coast style, by Anglo-Saxon University style, Trad, Ivy League, Preppy and also the Modernists, who were very well dressed at this time. Both jackets are made of Herringbone di Maglia, as the bespoke Cavalry di Malgia – maybe you remember the blue Vittorio Veneto Blu Navale Jacket, posted some months ago. It is a woven knitted fabric, which keeps the shape due to a special jersey instead of a woven lining – 42% wool and 58% cotton. The Jacket is elastic and offers such a great comfort – fantastic in wearing. The Insides the jackets are unlined and edged with a cotton jersey – very complex and significant manufactured! These are perfect for colder fall days. My wife is wearing her VASSAR jacket every day since she got it. It is so great to combine a lot off different stuff with these jackets: f. ex. just an ORCIVAL sailor shirt, or preppy with a chambray shirt and a tie or a necktie – it always looks perfect! this hand made necktie by great BELA c/o HEPVILLE CUSTOM CLOTHING is the 4th one i own. wonderful! i got it today, took a look and i must tell you: it is perfect. the necktie is made of 100% cotton, hand sewn shut with hidden slip stitch, pre-washed by hand to soften the fabric, 144 cm (57″) long, 7,5 cm (2 7/8″) at the widest point. it’s a must to check BELA’s ETSY site: HEPVILLE. isn’t this a nice combination in the pics below: vest | POST OVERALLS, shirt | ENGINEERED GARMENTS, necktie | HEPVILLE CUSTOM CLOTHING … pics | LTG

SELVEDGE DENIM NECKTIES | BY HEPVILLE CUSTOM CLOTHING

as you know i am a fan of bow-ties. 2 months ago i bought the first neckties ever. both patterned: one camo and one with anchors – what else –, i learnt how to tie the “AMERICAN” way and just some days later i discovered HEPVILLE’s DENIM SELVEDGE NECKTIES at facebook. it took me 3 weeks more to think about if these are must-haves. and indeed they are. each necktie is made of 8oz. selvedge denim, has a loop strap with selvedge details, are 57 inch/144 cm long and 2 9/16 inch/6,5 cm wide at the end. they are hand sewn shut with a hidden slip stitch. the blue one has white and red selvedge at both ends, the khaki beige and green neckties have white selvedge at the ends. for sure this stuff is handmade in germany by BELA the man behind HEPVILLE CUSTOM CLOTHING. check his ETSY shop there is much more great stuff like caps, vests f.ex. pics | LTG
