KAMI owner of B-74 and RED WING STORE FRANKFURT, GERMANY, send me some pics of a very nice new shirt: the OPTIMIST SHIRT. this shirt is manufactured by SANGAR, the biggest and oldest shirt making factory in ESTONIA. it is built „with love and care from durable unwashed denim or chambray. these shirt with nicely shaped patch pockets can be worn as light jackets over a dress shirt or tank top, or by itself …“ made of high quality materials from italy. read about the history of OPTIMIST below and enjoy the nice box design – wonderful. TODAY IS “MAENNERABEND” @ BREMERICH JEANS, ILLINGEN, GERMANY

OLI BREMERICH is what BONIFATIUS was for the catholics: a missionary. something like a missionary for all those guys in the sticks around ILLINGEN, SAARLAND, germany, who do not know what good denim and boots mean. ILLINGEN? where the f*** is ILLINGEN? okay, found it on the map: it is a small village 20 km in the north of SAARBRUECKEN just a spy away from the french border in the west of germany. it is really small with around 16.800 people who live there. and one of them is OLI. he runs the shop i do not know, but i think in third generation. the store was founded in 1934! BREMERICH JEANS sells japanese denim, american workwear, heavy boots and all the other stuff we like. in ILLINGEN?, you may ask – yes indeed, and it works! so it will get exciting visiting his 8TH “MAENNERABEND” tonight. a lot of clients and friends were invited and the guys from EAT DUST, PASSIONFRANCE®, RED WING SHOES, THE ONE GOODS and ME. my copywriter PETER will join the event too. i think it will be a relaxed evening with good talks, drinks and typical “MAENNERABEND” food. more to post the next days. the EAT DUST STUFF for today came on time with a special personal deliviery some days ago; check the video below. vid | BREMERICH JEANS || pics | LTG

last monday i could take a peek at the new SS2013 CARHARTT HERITAGE collection at VOLLS, darmstadt. really nice stuff. i saw it yet at the CARHARTT-WIP but seeing, touching and feeling it live it’s another thing: a well done collection. it’s the first time KLAUS ordered CARHARRT HERITAGE and i think it will be successful: wonderful products for affordable prices. the stuff is online now. pics | product shots: volls.de, people shots: carhartt-wip

checking the wonderful blog BACKYARD BILL after a longer break i discovered the portrait of GREG CHAPMAN. i knew his face from facebook – face? facebook?… ahhhhh – cool guy! so i checked the short interview BILL always does with the people he portrays. and i discovered a  – for me –  new brand where GREG works as creative director: H. yet another company distributed by UWE’s AMTRAQ: Sportswear reg. A young italian company, born in 2008, influenced by used american apparel from gyms, military and workwear – from the 30s to the early 80s. i did not see anything live but the stuff on the pics UWE sent me looks really authentic with a lot of love for details – i like this style very much. all pieces are produced with original fabrics and prints; the labels and hangtags are hand stamped. and very special – good idea, because i love limited stuff: every season there will be 1 shirt und 2 t-shirts hand-painted, delivered in a special box – strictly limited. exciting. UWE, the LAMBCHOP cards are stored in my cupboard. hope to see your showroom before the gig. pics | AMTRAQ
