A very special collaboration for TELLASON’s 10th anniversary: Unique Varsity jacket made by the renowned company GOLDEN BEAR SPORTSWEAR from San Francisco. Making leather and woolen jackets since 1922. US-Made Dark Navy Melton wool body. Full Aniline Cow leather tanned in the US for sleeves. Silver quilted Acetate lining. Wool rib knit for collar, waistband and cuffs. Inside pocket welt and hanging loop made from raw denim. Snap front closure. Chenille on leather embroidered “T” patch on chest Chenille on felt embroidered patch “10” on sleeve. Felt-sew-on lettering and chainstitch embroidery on back. Made on Potrero Hill in San Francisco.

THE HARD LUCK & SAILOR’S DREAM BANDANAS / NECKERCHIEFS by SJC SIMON JAMES CATHCART

A few days ago I got the 2 bandanas I ordered from SJC. And I got what I expected: 2 awesome, smooth silk pieces, rich colored with wonderful and extraordinary old school graphics. I am really fascinated by the quality of the HARD LUCK & SAILORS DREAM called neckerchiefs. I think if you check the pics below you will feel the smoothness by your eyes. Look at the bright colors. Both are hand finished with rolled edges and stitched in contrasting thread to make the edges pop – love this kind of stitching! With this 2 pieces SIMON started his 2015/16 collection. With the beginning of this week his website got relaunched and is full packed with new stuff … damn had to order one piece more after checking this great stuff of jackets, chinos, shorts and denim. I just read this quite a minute ago:  SJC is featured in MEN’S FILE. No wonder, SIMON – compliments – you do a great job! pics | LTG

THE BEARD IS GONE | or MAN WITHOUT A FACE

damn, what a f***. i hate this senseless discussions about “to have a beard” or “to have not a beard” or “is a beard just fashion, a hipster thing or not”. F*** off, for those who speak and discuss about such a holy shit it is indeed fashion shit. best are men who ask their friends or girlfriend if they should grow a beard: shame on you, pussies! a beard should be a part of you, something you wear with proud, something you wear with total conviction. a beard is not a shirt or a sock you change everyday … it is something individual. look at the pics below from the new german men magazine “MANUAL”. again this shitty discussion. and take a look at the poor man with out his beard. all forms of beards and mustaches made him looking so individual. after a complete shaving he says himself: “I feel like a man without a face”. yes, sir you are so right, but ask your girl friend if you should let grow a beard again. great the statement at the end of the story of the magazine:“for future times: topless is the new cool”. maybe: for pussies and hipster … believe me, i wear my beard more than 25 years, sometimes shorter,  sometimes longer and in 24 years no one talked and wrote about beards so much as in the last 12 months – it is boring, it gets on my nervs, i hate it! pics | © MANUAL MAGINE #01

damn, thank you so much FRED c/o RW1905 blog for this great supply of my beloved japanese FREE & EASY magazines. for more than five years it was an expensive fight to get my monthly issue – since FRED told me that he always has one issue to give away. he promised me that i will be the one who will get this free F&E. SHOE SOLE RINGS by HENDER SCHEME | A-MUST-HAVE FOR THE SHOE & BOOT MANIAC

what a simple but wonderful idea: rings made of shoe soles. i think a must-have-accessoire for shoe & boot maniacs. these nice leather pieces i found @ canadian HAVEN SHOP made by japanese shoe & boot maker HENDER SCHEME known from FREE & EASY, CLUTCH and POPEYE magazines. please check their website: it is very well done with some nice effects. the rings are made of the same materials the shoes of HENDER SCHEME are made, stacked together and polished. they are available in 3 colors: in a natural, dark brown and black finish. i think by wearing these rings they will get better and better. hey, let’s do a VIBRAM ring! pics | HAVEN & HENDER SCHEME

NEW DMAX MAGAZIN – JUST ANOTHER LIFESTYLE MAGAZINE

2 days ago i got the first DMAX mag into my letterbox. DMAX MAGAZINE – LIFE, MOTORS, ADVENTURE. exciting – i took a first peak and … i was and i am a little bit disappointed. loving the DMAX stories on TV the magazine seems to be anxious to switch the moods from the tv stories to the pages – in my eyes this does not work. the layout is mainstream, no passion. they say: A NEW MAGAZINE FOR REAL MEN … sorry, the layout is absolutely not made for “real men”, so compatible without a feeling about a “real men” layout. what do i mean? no dirt, no sweat, no trouble, no smell for petrol and oil, no noise … nothing. and unfortunately everything but not “alone standing”. with the writing it is the same: pure mainstream. the hints at the article HAMBURG – EINE STADT FÜR ECHTE KERLE … mainstream. the SINN watches article – what a terrible story opener for such a label with heritage. damn. no. DMAX did not use the opportunity to do something new “FOR REAL MEN”. what a pity, just another f***ing lifestyle magazine for “leisure-tough-guys”.  i will get the next 2 issues too because of ordering a mini subscription. maybe something will change. pics | LTG
