BOOT OF THE DAY | #191 | DANNER x BALL AND BUCK LIGHT BOOT

as a frequently reader of my blog you must know that i am a great fan of the classic DANNER LIGHT BOOT. i own one pair that i mostly wear for the activity this boot was rather made for: hiking. but sometimes i take my DANNERs to the city or somewhere else because of the great comfort and the heritage and iconic look. today i found this wonderful boot which is done in a collaboration between DANNER and great BALL AND BUCK. this means 1000% americana! this DANNER LIGHT uses a special leather that’s saturated with oils and wax. i love the 10oz camouflage flanks so much and the subtle blaze orange heel stitching. Check the list below for all the features. this boot is a must-have, but only a few sizes are left … and for sure the boot is strictly limited. pics | Ball and Bucks

SHWOOD WOODEN EYEWEAR @ KLAR DARMSTADT, GERMANY

what a surprise when AKRAM owner of KLAR in darmstadt, germany, called me up that he got his first delivery from SHWOOD. i like these wooden frames handmade in portland, usa, from the first moment on i saw them. so yesterday i went to KLAR and checked the frames. it was the first time i could try and touch them – lightweight and best handmade stuff: amazing. and the best is, that it is possible to put optical glasses into the frames up to 4 diopter. very nice the PENDLETON x SHWOOD collaboration frame with this special spectacle case. beside AKRAM did a really nice decoration of his shop window: woooooooood. tasty! hope the folks here will honor AKRAM’s courage to sell SHWOOD downtown darmstadt. i checked the retailer list at shwood’s website and except KLAR there are just two shops in berlin selling SHWOOD in germany. pics | LTG

last autumn i got this DEHEN 1920 jacket from UWE E. MAIER c/o AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION. i liked the jacket from the moment on i saw it: so simple, great colors, classic look and best fit. but i did not know that i would love it so much. it is just an absolute perfect jacket, i wore so often the last months especially at early winter and right know at early spring. some informations: “Derived from jackets that Dehen made for West Point athletes, the Cadet Jacket is constructed with washed melton wool.
