RED WING SHOES x EAT DUST PECOS #4327

Because of the Pecos Post today @redwingfrankfurt on Instagram and Facebook I decided to do a more detailed post at LTG Blog. So you have some views how nice this great boot ages. The iconic Red Wing “PECOS” boot style has a long history. In 1930 this “pull on” boot was introduced especially at this time for ranchers, cowboys and drilling roughnecks. The Pecos features till today a simple but at the same time so nice and timeless design, has a very comfortable fit and the more it get rugged the better it looks – as you see in the pics below. This boot is still made the same way as in these early days with quality leathers in our factory in Red Wing. And the time when a Pecos was worn just for working is long ago. It is the perfect boot for the urban prairie, for biker or just to stroll around. At the end of the last year it was  launched a very special Pecos: this limited #4327 Red Wing x Eat Dust Pecos in this wonderful Oro russet Abilene roughout leather. The nicest Pecos ever I think! RED WING SHOE STORE FRANKFURT TEAMS UP WITH LIFE TIME GEAR | INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK & CO.

Hi Guys, for those who did not hear about the collaboration between RWS Store Frankfurt, Germany, and me, now you know it. Since 1 1/2 year I feed the Instagram – @redwingfrankfurt –, the Facebook and Twitter – – accounts of the oldest and very first Red Wing Shoe Store outside the USA. And it is a great pleasure for me to do that, day by day. Working with friends, working for friends, working for maybe the best shoe brand of the world – yeah, it is indeed a great honor for me to do this! Before we start working together there was a long and deep friendship with Kami, Store-owner, and the other guys of the great Red Wing Frankfurt family. Our team work was a logical consequence and a win-to-win situation for us Red Wing aficionados. And I think  we do a good job – our number of followers is growing day by day. THE TIMEX x RED WING SHOES COLLABORATION | JUST A FEW LIMITED WATCHES AVAILABLE

Originally these TIMEX x RED WING SHOES COLLABORATION WATCHES were just sold in Japan. Online in Europe just @ endclothing but right now RED WING SHOE STORE FRANKFURT got a strictly limited supply. You can buy the watches online – the only dealer in Germany – or directly in the store. The collaboration watch is available in three styles and sizes: 38 mm, 40 mm and a 42 mm Chrono. Each watch features vintage-inspired dials, stainless steel casing, is up to 50 meters water resistant, INDIGLO@ Night Light and Quick Date®. But the icing on the cake is that each watch is outfitted with an awesome premium leather strap supplied by the master tanners at RED WING SHOES – handcrafted for sure! I don’t know exactly what leather color the strap has. It is similar to the famous Oro-Legacy (oil tanned) former known as Oro-iginal but a little bit darker, no more colorful. This leather is used for the icons #875 Moc Toe and #877 Irish Setter. The watches come in a very nice designed box. CARHARTT WIP X SLAM JAM | SJ PUTTY MICHIGAN COAT

Nice: sold out … @ the WIP CARHARTT online store for Europe this wonderful jacket isn’t available anymore – I like this, because I own on – ha! In spite of the 100% 12oz “Dearborn” canvas the jacket is really smooth and perfect for those early summer days especially in the morning and late evenings. I love the handmade painted and coated “PUTTY” style – it looks so one-of-a-kind a like. Take a look at the snaps and the special “square label”. This is a collaboration that works! BUTTS AND SHOULDERS x BEERZE BEER COLLABORATION | LIMITED LEATHER APRON AND BEER BOTTLE OPENER

yesterday i got some news from my dear friend WOUTERS aka MR LONG JOHN and co-founder and owner of BUTTS AND SHOULDERS. they did a collaboration with netherlands beer brand BEERZE BEER. the result is a great looking leather apron ands a beer bottle opener –great idea. for sure both products are made by hand of true craftsmen. the apron is made of natural vegetable tanned leather and i promise you, it will age wonderful in use. each of these is numbered. i think the stuff will be available at the BUTTS AND SHOULDER site, when it was launched at friday 24th of october during the the DUTCH DESIGN WEEK in eindhoven, netherlands. they will organize a special event for this at Bergstraat 14a – CHEERS! pics | Butts and Shoulders

L.G.R. X KLAR COLLABORATION | 20 PIECES LIMITED SUNGLASSES EDITION

italian high-end eyewear and sunglasses manufacturer L.G.R. did a collaboration with KLAR, my favorite optician at my hometown DARMSTADT, germany. AKRAM, owner of KLAR, send me a short video teaser of the collab – really interesting! so i did some pics of this special sunglasses handmade in italy. L.G.R. and KLAR did a strictly 20 limited pieces model which has a special color combination just used for this collab. every piece has its own product number from 1 to 20, a special case and a cleaning cloth with a L.G.R. X KLAR print. the glass is made by BABERINI, polarized in grey/blue – one of the best real glasses you can get today. beside these sunglasses KLAR sells certainly other collections from L.G.R. f.ex. the wonderful and although limited SAFARI COLLECTION. pics | LTG

BUTTS AND SHOULDERS | FIRST EDITION OF 50 BAGS IS LAUNCHED

a week ago i got a mail from my friend WOUTER the guy behind LONG JOHN in which he wrote about a new brand named BUTTS AND SHOULDERS. WOUTER created BAS in collabaration with friends which share the same authentic passion he does. together they had the idea to create the ultimate travel bag. and now you can see the result after one year testing. 50 bags were made in the first run. here some more facts WOUTER told me: “Our Butts and Shoulders bag is made of 100% natural vegetable leather. SHWOOD WOODEN EYEWEAR @ KLAR DARMSTADT, GERMANY

what a surprise when AKRAM owner of KLAR in darmstadt, germany, called me up that he got his first delivery from SHWOOD. i like these wooden frames handmade in portland, usa, from the first moment on i saw them. so yesterday i went to KLAR and checked the frames. it was the first time i could try and touch them – lightweight and best handmade stuff: amazing. and the best is, that it is possible to put optical glasses into the frames up to 4 diopter. very nice the PENDLETON x SHWOOD collaboration frame with this special spectacle case. beside AKRAM did a really nice decoration of his shop window: woooooooood. tasty! hope the folks here will honor AKRAM’s courage to sell SHWOOD downtown darmstadt. i checked the retailer list at shwood’s website and except KLAR there are just two shops in berlin selling SHWOOD in germany. pics | LTG
