B74 ORDERSHOW S/S 2017 | DAY #00 “READY TO RUMBLE”

The next days I will be @ the B74 ORDERSHOW in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, to stay in contact with good friends, meet people and check all this great new stuff from the labels which will be presented. Even today while the set-up was done I find some really nice and interesting stuff. The whole day it was really busy around B74. The empty and clean area got filled hour by hour – exciting. So Kami owner and founder of B74 told me: “We are ready to rumble!” I am happy to be part of this ORDERSHOW the next 4 days. pics | LTG

1ST PAT–RN x TIMEX ARCHIVE UTILITY WATCH

As a constant reader of LTG Blog you must know that I love to get limited things. So it was with this beautiful Timex Archive watch. As a great fan of 1ST PAT–RN stuff I am so happy to own #38 of just 130 produced pieces. And guys, hurry up, there are just a few left @ THE BUREAU – last restock! Her just some facts:
_ Utility watch taken from The Waterbury collection with a 24hr military dial
_ quartz movement
_ Indiglo technology
_ water resistant to 50m
_ stainless steel case
_ an exclusive reversible Mil/Trad spec strap.
So old school, so classical, so simple … so nice. Cristiano Berto owner and founder of 1ST PAT–RN about the collaboration watch: “Inspiration and research was important part of the process when I’ve worked with Timex Archive staff to create the 1ST PAT-RN project. Often, especially in watchmaking, it’s easy to see out there some “re-issued” or “remake” or “homage”. It’s a easy process that does not involve so much time: just see a piece, and reproduce it. Done! No pain!  I don’t like so much that way when I design. Everything.  For the Timex Archive X 1ST PAT-RN project I have try to apply my method, exactly the same I use for my collection.  I’m started on a old Timex watch from my archive bought 23 years ago. Made in Great Britan. I’ve study any detail and working as my method always drive me (make it clean, simple and finally, chic) I have “clean” all the “surplus” details: my question was “what make this old Timex watch great?” The anwer was easy: “combination of font shapes and white, red colors” and I have try to work *only* with this three elements, place them in the fantastic Waterbury case, sized 38 mm. and use a vintage shaped plexy: simple ingredients and the Timex staff made all the great job to realize this. The result, in my opinion, was exactly what I have expected: simple, chic, easy to read. The strap is another great story to tell …” Check Cristianos FB site to read – interesting for sure! So here just some impressions and detail shots of this awesome life time gear piece. pics | LTG

1ST PAT-RN VITTORIO VENETO BLU NAVALE JACKET

This 1ST PAT-RN jacket is for sure one of my most beloved pieces. It is manufactured in Veneto, Italy, from the iconic and exclusive “Cavalry di Maglia” fabric, the backbone of 1ST PAT-RN. They offer an alternative woven knitted fabric which keeps the shape due to a special jersey instead of a woven lining. I love the mix of the casual fabric and the timeless, classic cut with these wonderful copper buttons issued from Italian Navy supplier on the front and cuffs. – inspired by heritage workwear and military style. Some more facts: 100% Cotton | Hopsack Di Maglia Knitted Fabric | Naval Copper Buttons | Three Front Pockets | Two Internal Pockets | Working Button Cuff | Made in Italy. I know that you get the VITTORIO VENETO Jacket @ superdenim, cultizm, kafka, The Bureau Belfast, Franz und Emil und B74. pics | LTG

THE LANZA JACKET by 1ST PAT-RN | INTERNATIONAL TRAD MEET ITALIAN WORKWEAR

Last week I got a big parcel from UWE E MAIER c/o AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION. What a surprise, he send me the 1ST PAT-RN LANZA JACKET. What an indigo beauty! I was, no I am restless excited about this 1960s Italian work wear inspired jacket. The LANZA is made in Italy of a double indigo selvedge denim. The fit is classical perfect without any needles “Schnick Schnack”, but so nice details like the selvedge seams inside and the horn buttons. It features one button flap chest pocket, 2 lower inset pockets, adjustable cuffs, rounded collar with a detachable throat tab, rear cinch and selvedge detail on the inside placket. It was delivered unwashed –  so the photos I did show the Jacket unwashed. While i am writing this lines LANZA gets its first reversed side wash – cold and light. Because of its nice indigo dying it colors slightly even when I did the photos. The jaakcet is available @ VMC, LowDownondenim, Zenit, JeansLife and The Bureau Belfast, where I got the 2 pics which show the washed LANZA – THX! I am really impressed by this great 1ST PAT-RN stuff – love this stuff expecting some more pieces next time. Christian Berto does a great job.

ORDERSHOW SS2016 @ B74 SELECTED GOODS, FRANKFURT GERMANY | PART #01

Last Thursday I went to B74, Frankfurt, Germany, to meet good friends and to check up some upcoming stuff for S/S 2016. As every time it was great – KAMI & IRIS are perfect hosts. Again it was a really hot day in the middle of Frankfurt City, but the vibes downstairs and the temperatures were so cool and really smooth. Beside a lot of nice stuff from PASSIONFRANCE, JOHNSON MOTORS INC., SCARTI LAB, REDWING SHOES etc., I had two highlights: the upcoming collections from 1ST PAT-RN and PRIVATE WHITE VC. And both sales men, CRISTIANO (1ST PAT-RN) and DIRK were so kind to explain me in detail the stuff with such an emotion and addiction that I could have been listened to for hours. … but time was running. Here you can check up just the first part of some pics from this wonderful event. pics | LTG
