JUST SOME X-MAS PRESENT IDEAS | #07 LEATHER KEY HOLDER by EMMA OPITZ LEDERLINGE

A nice key holder is a must. I own a lot of keys to put in order: several keys for home, office … my beloved Orange Beast and the car of my wife. All keys get hold be a LEDERLING (engl. Leather thing) hand made by EMMA OPITZ. These nice helper are made completely by hand in a little manufacture in Berlin, Germany. Every piece of EMMA OPITZ is a one of a kind, always a bit different from the one done before. The owner of EMMA OPITZ, Marc Türkheim, learned the famous knot that holds all this LEDERLINGE together by his grandma – it is a nice story! You can get several types of key holder and other leather accessories. The big ones I own are called “Bismark“ and the small one is a special custom thing which was made for KAMI, owner of B74. He gave me this key holder as a present – damn, I like this so much! The 2 “Bismarks” I got from volls.de. STETSON CORDELE FUR FELT HAT | SOLD BY STATEMENT – THE DENIM STORE

just saw a pic of the new munich denim store STATEMENT posted by founder & owner KAY KNIPSCHILD and i felt in love with this wonderful hat. two days later this great lookin’ STETSON was put to my hat collection @ the LIFE-TIME-GEAR office. the CORDELE is made from premium quality fur felt, fully lined in a gold-bronze STESON fabric and there is a leather sweat band on the inside. the nice grosgrain band around the hat crown carries a wonderful colored feather. the crown is about 10 cm high and the brim 6cm wide. i love the look of the hat so much because with the brim turned up this fedora is such a nice mix between a classic fedora and a western-look-a-like hat – just perfect.

the STATEMENT store is owned by “JOSH” aka CHRISTIAN HEISE and KAY. i think they did a great job, when i take a look at the pics of the new store opened just 3 weeks ago. their vision was to bring the DENIM & BOOTS SPIRIT to GLOCKENBACHVIERTEL in MUNICH, germany. the STATEMENT store is located just beside the RED WING STORE MUNICH – not the worst idea! beside a big range of raw denim JOSH & KAY present a selected range of WHITE’S BOOTS. the store is full of awesome unique stuff from american flea markets – check the pics below. THE IRON HEART HAIRLINE DUCK WESTERN SHIRT & THE HICKORY STRIPE WORK SHIRT

i just own 3 IRON HEART shirts and i love these so much. after some stiffness when wearing the 11 and 12oz shirts the first times, they got smoother and smoother and meanwhile i am so satisfied of best fit and a great comfort feeling. and i think, that these will never be broken down – life time gear – what a great quality. the care isn’t a problem: cold wash, inside out and taking at once out of the wash machine when ready you don’t even need to iron it. no shrinking, nothing. these shirts are made in japan and have a lot of nice details you can check up in the photos. in fall i wore the shirts as a jacket, sometimes combined with a vest depending on the weather conditions. here i combined the shirts with deadstock indigo duck canvas JACK/KNIFE hunting vest and a JOE McCOy bandana. the shirts and the bandana are available @ volls.de and the vest is from B-74, frankfurt, germany. pics | LTG

some more pics from my visit 2 days ago @ VOLLS. beside the new SPIEWAK stuff i showed you yesterday @ LTG i took some pics of the some new IRON HEART stuff for the upcoming winter season. but there is much more classic IRON HEART stuff in the shop than i shot, but i love these colorful 12oz ultra heavy flannel western shirts so much.
