10 MUST-HAVE-X-MAS-PRESENTS | #09 | TANNER GOODS WORKMAN WALLET

i love my wallets from TANNER GOODS. so i needed these in black and oxblood. as you see in the pics below the oxblood colored is my favorit. i own it now for a year and since i got it, i wore it nearly everyday. just changed sometimes to the black one or the TANNER GOODS card holder. the wallets are made of 3.5 oz HORWEEN CHROMEXCEL, feature four cards slots in which you can put easily more than just one card, two interior pockets for cash and receipts, one zippered coin pocket, which i do not use because of avoiding my cards crashing. each wallet is burnished, dyed, waxed and stamped with the TANNER GOODS signature maker’s mark by hand. the oxblood wallet i usually combine with the original LONG TETHER and sometimes with a lanyard from PETER FIELDS. the black one i combine with an OBBI GOOD LABEL wallet chain i got from BURG & SCHILD. B-74 5TH ANNIVERSARY EVENT 30TH NOV 2013

yesterday i joined B-74’s 5TH anniversary event. it was really nice to meet some friends there and it was a relaxed atmosphere. good people, drinks and food – at the perfect location! all in the invitation listed artisans and merchants were there. KAMI and his staff did a perfect job – smooth. at the same time i could take a peak to UWE E.MAIER’s new AMTRAQ show room which is on the 3rd floor in the same building berliner strasse 74: perfect! pics | LTG

STUFF FROM MY RUGGED LITTLE BOY

today some stuff from my 6 years old son LEVI. like me he is a great denim, boot and hat lover. the cowboy shirt you see below was a present from UWE c/o AMTRAQ. his son was wearing this original ROCKMOUNT RANCH WEAR shirt before. great quality, made in the USA. another beloved piece is the ATELIER LA DURANCE NOVELTY JACKET. great classic look and best manufacturing – from the time when ALD was made in france! i bought this jacket years ago at B74 knowing that it will fit LEVI some day. and the BLUNDSTONE boots. damn, poor boots: this one are just 1/2 year old. LEVI’S most beloved shoes. he has always two pairs with the same size. one pair has always a day to relax after heavy wear over an exciting school and outdoor day. i think i bought about 6 pairs the last 3 years. the TICK, TRICK & TRACK hat is from SCHMITTHUT. it is older than 10 years and it was mine before i gave it to LEVI, my first SCHMITTHUT hat. it was always a bit too small for my head. pics | LTG

MAKR CARRY GOODS EYEWEAR CASE @ KLAR

yesterday i went to AKRAM c/o KLAR, darmstadt, germany, to get a new eyewear case. i knew that he got his MAKR order from AMTRAQ and i am searching since a long time for a practical case where to put all my different glasses inside. a problem was always the big fat DITA KINGSTON. now even this beloved “monster” got its garage. i took the case in saddle tan leather; exciting how it will look like  when aging – i think absolutely perfect. the case has a snap front closure is hand and machine sewn, hand edge painted and polished and made of HORWEEN® leather. hurry up to get your case, because there are just a few left … pics | LTG

TELLASON & JACK/KNIFE VEST | BURG & SCHILD BERLIN

16 pieces were produced and me, i got one – just exclusively available at berlin located BURG & SCHILD! thx TIM for fast shipment, thx KAY and SHANE for reserving this great piece during my holidays. the vest is the result of a collaboration between san francisco located JACK/KNIFE and TELLASON. i saw the vest first time @ BREAD & BUTTER at the TELLASON stall and i knew: a-must-have-piece. TONY told me a lot about how the vest was made: all by hand – cut and sewn and waxed. made of deadstock duck canvas from a mill in south carolina – only one roll of this fabric was left! for more details please check the handwritten tags on the photos below. for some photos of the manufacturing process please check the AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION site. pics | LTG

LIFE TIME GEAR JOINS BEER, BIKES & BURGERS @ BURG & SCHILD

after a long day @ BBB i went to BURG & SCHILDS “BEER, BIKES & BURGERS” party. it was a must go. the days before i went home straight after the BB show, got something to eat, did some posts … ready to sleep of – rien ne va plus. but joining BB&B party was a must. and it was really, really nice there despite the f***ing weather we had while standing in front of the shop. it was so heavy raining, stormy and  thundery this evening, that f.ex. KLAUS from volls.de couldn’t take of to frankfurt. he was sitting 4 hours at the airport. it’s a pitty that he couldn’t join the party with us. we all got so wet that at point even it doesn’t matter at all. the mood was perfect! i met a lot of wonderful people and some great contacts. for more pictures check the BURG & SCHILD site! pics | LIFE TIME GEAR

LIFE TIME GEAR | FAVORITES #61 | REYN SPOONER HAWAII SHIRTS

S U M M E R T I M E ! in february i did a first post about REYN SPOONER HAWAII SHIRTS when presenting AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION. UWE gave me some time ago three shirts. and now these shirts are tested by 30°C outside in the shadow and i must tell you: just perfect to wear, lightweight, fresh looking with an old school touch, no sweating – i love it. and believe me, there is really a great difference in the performance of a real hawaiian shirt or a a wanna be indeed! here again the significant characteristics of an authentic hawaiian shirt made by REYN SPOONER:

_ the shirt has to be a straight seam with side vents; not round like shirts worn into a trouser
_ pockets that do not break into the pattern design
_ POP OVER or PULL OVER cut for pulling over the head
_ REVERSE PRIN. this means that the shirt is printed inside. so the pattern is not so expressive and looks smarter. a look like bleached from the sun and the saltwater

i just got a mail from FRED c/o redwing1905 about these yesterday posted bandana leather rings. he sent me some pics (see below) of leather bandana rings made by MR. FREEDOM aka CHRISTOPHE LOIRON who has got most respect by me – for sure. he did similar rings times ago – i am really sorry, but i did not know this! respectful to your work CHRISTOPHE the HANDMADE BANDANA LEATHER RINGS post from yesterday has been deleted @ once. if the posted rings were not a copy but a new idea by PETER – ok –, but just the suspicion on copying is worse … LTG

when i visited UWE @ AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION he gave me 2 different TELLASON jeans. since this day on i wore my slim tapered 12.5 oz white oak cone mills denim named Ladbroke Grove nearly every day. great cut, perfect fit, comfortable, best looking – awesome. TELLASON stuff is made in san francisco – all material and components are made in the USA. beside the Ladbroke Grove there are 2 other styles: Johan Graham Mellor & Ankara. in summer there will be a new one which will be named Gustave. PETE & TONY from TELLASON are great THE CLASH fans. so all jeans’ styles are concerned to the famous english punkband. Ladbroke Grove f.ex. is a part of LONDON where JOE STRUMMER grew up. available for fall/winter 2012 @ volls.de and B-74.

_ lower part of back pockets re-inforced by cotton to avoid comb,  knife or wllet to push trough, leather patch made by TANNER GGODS of Portland,  Or.
