BOOT OF THE DAY | #187 | DANNER LIGHT III LOW CUT BROWN/KHAKI

the CLASSIC DANNER LIGHT – check LTG SHOE & BOOT COLLECTION #15 from august 2012 – is my favorite hiking boot. i own this boot since 5 years and i do not only love the comfort but the old school look too. yesterday i found a low cut version of my DANNER LIGHT @ THREE WOOD, japan, – wonderful. this hiking “shoe“ named DANNER LIGHT III LOW is available in three color ways. the III LOW features the same benefits as the boot: full-grain, leather upper, PLUS 100% waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX®, vibram KLETTERLIFT sole, brass eyelets and hooks, nylon laces gold/tan colored, cushioned footbed, leather welt, made in the USA. seems to be again a japan special.

RED WING SHOES | THE 9877 IRISH SETTER vs THE 877

i am really happy to get one of 60 pairs that came strictly limited to europe, because this boot is an absolut must-have-collector-item. the boot is only available @ RED WING STORES. thx KAY from RW STORE BERLING & HAMBURG for reserving the boot. the 9877 was previously sold in JAPAN beside some other styles in that beautiful color: SEQUOIA GOLD. i did a post in october 2011: BOOT OF THE DAY | #91 | LIMITED RED WING BOOT 9871. the 9877 features some details of the first IRISH SETTER production in 1952. so the SEQUOIA colored leather is the original one followed by the famous oro-iginal. only at the top of right boot there are stamped RED WING letters: no corporate wing logo on the boot except the sole which is exactly the same on both boots. inside the 9877 there is the old version of the IRISH SETTER tag – beautiful! boot and RED WING SHOE experts sure will notice the square stitched corners where the leather is fixed to the tongue – an outstanding detail. the boot comes with heavy leather laces and in a wonderful IRISH SETTER labeled box. by the way, the 877 has on another very nice detail: on every eyelet the letters RED WING are engraved. the 877 will leave my collection. my friend PZ will adopt this really nice walked in boot. so i know these boots will be in good hands … pics | LTG

BOOT OF THE DAY | #179 | VINTAGE REBUILT WESCO JOBMASTER

found a great looking vintage WESCO JOBMASTER at japanese HOPESMORE auction site. that classic work boot is rebuilt and desinfected. it has a doubled VIBRAM #430 sole and no size marks. they say it must be about  a US 12.5E. the current highest bid is 17.800; there are 19 hours left to get this wonderful boot. pics | HOPESMORE

isn’t that a wonderful classic looking boot? found at japanese store SMACLO. what a black beauty that has its price. made of black chrome excel leather, 5 inch high, leather sole, cap toe, white stitching and a single mid sole. tthe product desiption is 2.332L SEMI DRESS CHROME MEDALLION. very nice. pics | SMACLO

WALLET ROPE | MADE BY PETER FIELDS

yesterday the new PETER FIELDS wallet rope arrived. the rope is made by their selves in berlin: a made in germany thing combined with brass hook and shackel from japan. it is made of a vegetable tanned leather. i got it in brown and hope that they will do a black one too because it works so good with my TANNER GOODS wallets i own in black and oxblood. good job ANIE & co! some more facts: total lenght: 46,5 cm (18,3 inch), hook: 7 cm (2,8 inch), shackle: 2, 5 cm (1,0 inch). pics | LTG

with my #8100 i found very well done booklet in the RWS box. so nice designed with some old school illustrations and graphics, many photos how to care the RWS boots and a lot of information. this is japanese style as i know: perfect! en detail! when i buy a pair of  RWS in germany or USA i don’t get such a nice booklet. pics | LTG
