ORDERSHOW AMTRAQ @ B-74 IN FRANKFURT/MAIN

last thursday i took a ride to B-74 with my brother to join the ordershow of AMTRAQ. i was not in the mood to check up new stuff and so i did just some people shots, talked a lot with friends and had a very nice meal with all the guys and girls at RITZ ffm around the corner B-74. thx DIRK for the invitation. it was nearly a familial atmosphere there two days ago, because a lot of people left the show to get some days off before the next event starts at ZURICH, switzerland next tuesday. pics | LTG

LTG BOOT & SHOE COLLECTION | 24 | THE REAL McCOY’S FIELD SHOES N-1

after a five months break i will continue my LTG BOOT & SHOE COLLECTION series. the boot today is really outstanding and this not only because of the price – this one is so well done and crafted. it is a replica of the N-1 official US NAVY BOOT during WWII, which was called the “BOONDOCKER”. the people at REAL McCOY’S found an original boot which was really hard to find. and from this boot they took all the specifications and made a – sorry for me – one of the most perfect boots, you can get today. love the triple stitching details and enjoy the perfect fitting day by day. i got my boots from volls.de but he did not put these nice pieces online. another option here in europe is superdenim in the UK. important: size down half a number (US size). pics | LTG

NEW ALDEN ORDER ARRIVED @ VOLLS

KLAUS from volls.de gave me a call that the new ALDEN order has just arrived. all new ALDEN boots got a VOLLS print inside. very nice and i would be proud of it … and i think KLAUS is. he got 6 new different style exclusively made for VOLLS.  all in different shapes, leathers, color combinations but all with leather soles. my favorites are the beige colored, doubled soled INDY BOOT, the tan suede PLAIN TOE BOOT and the tan CHUKKA – very nice, smart but cool and best crafted – ALDEN. pics | LTG

PASSION FRANCE OR “SPOILT FOR CHOICE – WHICH KNIFE WILL BE MINE …”

yesterday evening i went to PASSION FRANCE with OLLI THE BARBER, KLAUS, c/o VOLLS and UWE E. MAIER c/o AMTRAQ. we went there because UWE got a gift coupon from us when he celebrated his 50 birthday this year to choose a knife @ PASSION FRANCE. WOLFGANG & SABINE received us in their showroom and it was so amazing. damn: so many knives, one nicer than the other. WOLFGANG & SABINE told us all the details and stories about the different types of french knives. it was so exciting and it was really difficult for UWE to decide which knife he should take. at least it was a classical LAGUIOLE – a pretty one. good choice UWE, have fun with your knife! pics | LTG

“DRECKIG BLEIBEN” … STAY DIRTY … EAU DE PARFUM

when i saw KLAUS c/o volls.de this monday, he gave me DRECKIG BLEIBEN to smell. KLAUS knows that i prefer intensive heavy weight insence parfums – no wonder i come from a very catholic region … so i tried DRECKIG BLEIBEN. the first impression: great! it is not frankincense i smell, but it is heavy and very smoky – good. the makers of this parfum describe the fragrance like this: “DRECKIG BLEIBEN opens with a harmonious note drawn of bergamot from Calabria, neroli oil from Tunisia, Sicilian mandarin and Chinese ginger. Its heart brings together the scents of the smoky oil of the cistus, of gurjum oil and of elemi, the oil of the balsam tree. The base consists of earthy cedarwood, the oil of the guaiacum tree, sandalwood and vanilla.” very masculine. the smell turns after some hours into a smooth nearly sweet fragrance, really exciting. the flacon is very nice too. the wooden top is handmade from centuries-old wood, won from timber-framed houses. and really practicable: it is double closed with a classic spray flacon. interesting, the maker of the fragance MARK BUXTON worked for COMME DES GARCONS who still make one of my absolutely favorite fragrances the SERIES 3 INCENSE. more about DRECKIG BLEIBEN, the idea, the people behind check dreckigbleiben.com. it is available at volls.de. not online yet, but soon. and hurry up, DRECKIG BLEIBEN is limited to 999 pieces! made in france. pics | LTG

last monday i could take a peek at the new SS2013 CARHARTT HERITAGE collection at VOLLS, darmstadt. really nice stuff. i saw it yet at the CARHARTT-WIP but seeing, touching and feeling it live it’s another thing: a well done collection. it’s the first time KLAUS ordered CARHARRT HERITAGE and i think it will be successful: wonderful products for affordable prices. the stuff is online now. pics | product shots: volls.de, people shots: carhartt-wip

LTG FAVORITES #94 | DEPECHE MODE >> LIVE 2013

before it’s getting boring, here is the last post about a birthday present to me. it’s time to finish! KLAUS c/o volls.de gave me this great present: DEPECHE MODE LIVE 2013 in frankfurt, germany. maybe some of you call me crazy because of my music taste, the different styles i like. but it’s the same with life, the moods, the feelings … sometimes i like to hear STEVE EARLE or TOWNES VAN ZANDT, 2 hours later i prefer D:A:D and in the afternoon SLAYER and SUICIDAL TENDENCIES. and before ending an office day DPECHE MODE. it is like it is … i hate standing still, always living, doing or hearing the same things, like a conditioned scheme. DM i hear more than 30 years. they are one of my absolute favorite bands. i love the voice of DAVE GAHAN. i love the sounds. and i love the new album DELTA MACHINE. i read this headline over a review of the new album and it is perfect: “delta blues meets man machine”. thx KLAUS to join this great party in FFM with you! pics & vids | © DEPECHE MODE

LTG FAVORITES #88 | NIGEL CABOURN AGAIN: SS 2013 COLLECTION @ VOLLS.DE

just a short break from this work all day long for weeks. KLAUS – long time no see, nice to meet him yesterday morning in his shop. i knew that parts of the actual SS2013 NIGEL CABOURN collection arrived last friday. the next days will be still busy and so i decided to ride my BULLIT to schulstrasse to talk a bit to KLAUS, drink some espresso and take a look at the new NC stuff. damn: so amazing nice this f***ing camo stuff. beside this, the new TAPED CAMERAMAN and AIRCRAFT JACKET and the denim vest are really very well done too. there are some more shirts i will post later when all stuff arrived. my absolute favorites at the moment: the CAMO NOTCH WORK JACKET combined with the CAMO WORK VEST made of camo drill. detailed information later. the stuff will be online @ volls.de in about 14 days, but one camo work jacket and a vest in size 52 are missing … pics | LTG
