RINOUMA MADE IN JAPAN | LONG & SHORT WALLET WITH HANDMADE BRASS HOOKS

Amazing: there is a new brand available at B74, Frankfurt, GER. A Japanese one named “RINOUMA – MADE IN JAPAN”. They do wonderful bags, wallets, belts and are specialized in brass, using just Japanese manufactured materials only! Traditional work meets contemporary style. Today I will show you the long & short wallet with a fitting key chain and brass hooks. The wallets are made of steer hide leather tanned in Japan. At first the people at RINOUMA tried to make the wallets of Japanese saddle leather, which was nice, but a little bit too hard and stiff for wallets. So they tried to find a more soft feeling leather. They found a leather which is made by a small second generation family tannery, operating since 1921, in Hyogo, which is the most popular leather making prefecture in Japan. There is a clean river and always good winds for drying the leather – a perfect climate. This is the key to the finest quality for RINOUMA’s leather. It is a 3.3 to 3,7 mm thick steer hide leather. Craftsman add oil to the leather by hand for a varnishing finish. So the wallets get this so nice touch and feel. The brown color is also very clean and beautiful dyed. RINOUMA just uses premium Japanese brass parts. The zips run easy and the buttons work perfect. Men, take a look at these nice hooks. The key hook and the one with the wallet chain have a light bend, and so they hang perfect at your belt loop. Hooks and chain are handmade and made of 100% Japanese brass. Chains are manufactured by a vintage “chain-making-machine” older than 50 years. The hooks have such a wonderful matte finish which feels so nice. For me a perfect combination to the short wallet – I love it. AND, every piece is comes in a green paraffin coating canvas sack! If you got curios or interested in the great Japanese RINOUMA stuff, please write Kami owner of B74 – info@b-74.de – or give him a call: +49 69 293329. The next days I will show more RINOUMA stuff. You’ll like it – I am sure! pics | LTG

TELLASON NEWS | THE CLAMPDOWN SHIRT “SALT & PEPPER” SELVEDGE + THE BANDANA 3 PACK

The guys from TELLASON Pete and Tony  – the makers of the one and only denim I wear since 4 years: GUSTAVE 14.75 oz. Sometimes I think that this thing was just made for me 😉 – did a new Shirt, which also could be an absolute favorite of my Life Time Gear collection. The CLAMPTON SHIRT is a TELLASON icon. It is a classic workwear styled shirt not only because of the look and the aesthetic but also because of its functional details. It is made in San Francisco of finely woven “Salt & Pepper” 7.5 oz Japanese selvedge – raw and unwashed. This CLAMPDOWN has so nice details like the triple needle stitching on the sides and underarm seams and these wonderful selvedge details at the side gussets and under the pocket flaps –I love this! Don’t forget the Corozo buttons and the TELLASON pencil you’ll get with the shirt. A great addition is the new BANDANA-3-PACK including a red, white and navy one, made of 100 cotton in the USA and printed in Oakland, California. The size is 21″ x 21″. Every bandana has another printing: The “CLASSIC” in navy, the „GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE” and the “FLETCH” dedication. This one shows quotations from the film “FLETCH” … an interesting idea and good looking too! I like the typography on the bandana a lot … this is something different compared to a “normal” bandana. The same with the GOLDEN GATE motive – quite nice design! Curios? Check the AMTRAQ site for dealers where to buy this nice stuff or contact Kami @ B74.

Next day … time is running at B74 ORDERSHOW – too fast: Day #03. It was again a very relaxed but at the same time busy day for the exhibitors, the catering and for me … always on the run. But again I met people in a really good temper. B74 ORDERSHOW S/S 2017 | DAY #02 “SHINING SO BRIGHT – THE SUN OVER FRANKFURT AND THE VIBES @ ORDERSHOW B74”

Second day @ B74 ORDERSHOW. Not such a smooth start as yesterday because of f***ing Frankfurt city traffic – a lot of road works: too much. Orange Beast brought me in under 15 Minutes from DA to FFM, but then it took me about an hour from the first FFM road sign to B74. Breathing … calm down … and then the sun went up, blue sky, just some cool clouds, the banking towers, the B74 sign, beloved SPIDERMAN: what a view, when you reach the parking lot of B74! This view compensated all trouble before. After the first espresso I started my daily tour and met a really good friend: Oli Breitwieser from RIDERS ROOM in Hamburg, Germany. It was 2 years ago we met the last time – damn. And it was an absolute pleasure to meet Sven Eden, the owner of RIDERS ROOM. Seen so often @ social media but today for the first time live – great! Some impressions from today. Enjoy – I did! For sure!! See you tomorrow! pics | LTG

B74 ORDERSHOW S/S 2017 | DAY #01 “GETTING STARTED … MUCH TRAFFIC …”

This morning B74 ORDERSHOW started. For me a smooth start cruisin’ 30 kilometers with the Orange Beast straight to my parking lot directly in front of B74 – thx for this comfort, KAMI – this is f***in great! While getting my equipment ready it was really busy at the stalls around me … here just some impressions. There was such a great mood and really good vibes there @ B74 today … see you tomorrow … pics | LTG

B74 ORDERSHOW S/S 2017 | DAY #00 “READY TO RUMBLE”

The next days I will be @ the B74 ORDERSHOW in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, to stay in contact with good friends, meet people and check all this great new stuff from the labels which will be presented. Even today while the set-up was done I find some really nice and interesting stuff. The whole day it was really busy around B74. The empty and clean area got filled hour by hour – exciting. So Kami owner and founder of B74 told me: “We are ready to rumble!” I am happy to be part of this ORDERSHOW the next 4 days. pics | LTG

FATIGUE PANTS by TELLASON | BRAND NEW CLASSIC STUFF

Last week Uwe E. Maier c/o Amtraq Distribution send me this brand new classic Fatigue Pants made by TELLASON. Damn – these are really nice. So comfortable, loose fit but with contemporary tapered legs for a perfect fit and look. The design is classic – Fatigue Pant in 8.5 oz cotton sateen, based on the famous OG-107: “The OG-107 was the basic work utility uniform of all branches of the United States Armed Forces from 1952 until its discontinuation in 1989. The designation came from the U.S. Army’s coloring code “Olive Green 107” and “Olive Green 507”, which were shades of dark green, the OG-107 being cotton and OG-507 polyester-cotton blend introduced in the early 1970s. Regardless of the fabric, the two shades were almost identical. The OG-107 was superseded by the Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) throughout the 1980s, and was also used by several other countries, including ones that received military aid from the United States.” TELLASON offers this modern well done  “Replica” in khaki and traditional olive. The Fatigues are Made in Italy, are pre-washed and feature a zip fly, the typical buttoned back and large front pockets. I wore the pants for the first time when doing the pics … I still wear the olive one … love it: so comfortable, so good lookin’ … So: this is what I call Life Time Gear! The pants are exclusively available @ B74, Cultizm, UBS Classics, Riders Room, Gross4 Aces, Trekkingladen Regensburg, Bremerich Jeans, Denim & Iron and Lord. pics | LTG
