RINOUMA MADE IN JAPAN #03 | BAGS & BELTS

The last month I presented some stuff from RINOUMA MADE IN JAPAN available @ B74, Frankfurt. Different wallets, brass hooks, leather and brass card cases –  today I will show you the classic RINOUMA bags and a simple but so beautiful belt. The “CITY BAGS” are from RINOUMAS flagship leather combination line named RNBL featuring 20oz. paraffin coating water-resistant canvas, vegetable tanned leather, 2.0 mm-thick cotton tape, #10 YKK Japanese metal zipper with golden brass color, and premium brass metal parts – all materials 100% Japanese. The “CITY BAG” is available with strap and without in 3 different sizes. The leather RINOUMA uses for bags and this beautiful belts is a 4 mm thick grade steer hide which is tanned in one of the highest quality Japanese tanneries since 1937. The Japanese Craftsmen need 20 steps making this leather. It is a very old saddle leather making process with a lot of hand made processes. At first the leather is put to a light tanning pit, than to a little deeper, and so on. It takes about 3 months for a real deep tanning – without any chrome additions. So the leather soaks the maximum of tannin and the density of this gets very deep. Another effect is that the weight gets much heavier compared to normal leather. WORKADAY WALLET by TANNER GOODS

What a lucky break. When visiting KAMI c/o B74 in Frankfurt some days ago, i found this nice little wallet lying in a glass cabinet. Didn’t noticed this TANNER GOODS classic before. It is their so called “WORKADAY WALLET” with enough space for many banknotes and a lot of cards. Great to put this little thing in the back pocket of your denim or chino. It is combined with waxed canvas and smooth leather. KAMI told me that there was a special edition which combined leather with this f***ing nice flashy orange hunting canvas. If anyone still has one of these please send me a message – thx. Isn’t the combination with my vintage TANNER GOODS card holder great? I wanna use the WW just for notes, not for cards. The other WW is owned by KAMI. He has his WW in use for about one year. DULUTH PACK | BIG BACKPACK – #2 CRUISER COMBO CANOE PACK

EVERYDAY TOTE BAG | by TANNER GOODS

this pretty thing isn’t mine. UWE E. MAIER c/o AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION gave it to me filled with new TELLASON STUFF just borrowed. this charcoal colored EVERYDAY TOTE by TANNER GOODS is so nice worn in and broken in that i had to take some pics before giving it back. the bag is constructed from a strout of waxed 18 oz. filter twill canvas and HORWEEN RICH CHROMEXCEL leather. all components are secured by solid brass rivets and four button studs. it has external pockets, a zippered pocket inside and adjustable straps. the dimensions are 15″ tall x 13″ wide x 6″ deep. so nice – UWE, you own a wonderful tote bag. pics | LTG

a friend of mine send me the pics of this wonderful RWS boot. and the best is, that you can get it actually via eBay for your lady! it is a EU size 37 – check the tag in the pic below. this boot is absolutely rare and you can’t get it anymore, anywhere. the RWS leather is combined with waxed canvas – what a nice combination. we hope that this boot will go to a girl or a lady who knows and loves the special feature of this boot – this is definitely a life time gear piece! pics | HS

LTG BOOT & SHOE COLLECTION | 20 | L.L. BEAN WAXED CANVAS MAINE HUNTING SHOE

one of my absolute favorites of my boot & shoe cupboards: the 1912 introduced MAIN HUNTING SHOE. this boot was LEON LEONWOOD BEAN’S very first product. it is a pity, the one i own is just a bit too small. the boot fits only with very thin socks and so the comfort is not the best when walking some time. i think i had to change the boot in a one size up bigger one. good to know that this boot isn’t so expensive at all. an absolutely must-have boot: an american icon which is still handstitched and checked for quality right there in MAINE! pics | LTG
