yes, and these are the others … some of them. f.ex. the JOHNSON MOTORS bandana i own in all color ways you can get: red, dark blue and black. the art work is always the same – and i love this trio a lot, but i don’t want to bore you. another very special bandana for me is the BURG & SCHILD 5th anniversary one  – a collaboration between B&S and INDIGOFERA … nice look and special because of its meaning. pics | LTG

LTG’S DUPONT LIGHTERS | FROM PAST TO PRESENT

today i got my new CIGAR LIGHTER by DUPONT, PARIS – in bright orange what else?! now when the evenings get warmer there is nothing better than smoking a cigar and drinking a glass of wine while reading the newspaper on the fresh renovated roof-deck over the tops of DARMSTADT city. so i decided to replace the matches by a contemporary lighter. nice to find a DUPONT for an acceptable price. this one is my third DUPONT. my first, the silver one, i got from my parents when i got eighteen … well, long time ago. the second i bought about 15 years ago: a vintage line 2 gold combined with “LAQUE DE CHINE” which is really rare to find and so got really expensive now. it is a pity that both vintage lighter don’t work anymore. they lose gas in between hours and i brought them 2 times to the service but they could not solve the problem. so i am just happy to hear the unique smart snap sound when opening and closing these 2 DUPONTS. if you compare the sounds of a ZIPPO to DUPONT it is like comparing a CATERPILLAR to a CITROEN DS. pics | LTG

damn, thank you so much FRED c/o RW1905 blog for this great supply of my beloved japanese FREE & EASY magazines. for more than five years it was an expensive fight to get my monthly issue – since FRED told me that he always has one issue to give away. he promised me that i will be the one who will get this free F&E. RED WING SHOES AT WORK | CARPENTER CHRISTIAN WITH HIS RWS #8130

this week we got our roof-deck renewed. when our carpenter CHRISTIAN came in i noticed at once his rugged RED WING boots. i asked him if this is a #8137 and he told me that it is a #8130 with a rebuilt black sole. he always wears his RWS boots a couple of years before he use them for work. these are about 3 years at work. these boots are really nice broken in. as CHRISTIAN says there are no better boots for work than RED WING BOOTS. pics | LTG

PHOTOGRAPHER JOERN POLLEX FOR AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION | HAMBURG HARBOR SHOOTING PART I

HAMBURG based photographer JOERN POLLEX send me some really great pics from a shooting he did for UWE E. MAIER c/o AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION four weeks ago. i got so many beautiful pics that i decided to show you tomorrow some more and a making of video. some facts about JOERN: he learnt photographing at the age of 12 from his father. starting 30 years ago with that famous analog camera CANON A1 – i have had the same – he developped the photos in his own darkroom. JOERN did an education as a photographer and worked for GETTY IMAGES. since january 2014 he works as a freelancer. the AMTRAQ shooting was completely done by JOERN from the location search, model casting to picture editing and post production. L.G.R. X KLAR COLLABORATION | 20 PIECES LIMITED SUNGLASSES EDITION

italian high-end eyewear and sunglasses manufacturer L.G.R. did a collaboration with KLAR, my favorite optician at my hometown DARMSTADT, germany. AKRAM, owner of KLAR, send me a short video teaser of the collab – really interesting! so i did some pics of this special sunglasses handmade in italy. L.G.R. and KLAR did a strictly 20 limited pieces model which has a special color combination just used for this collab. every piece has its own product number from 1 to 20, a special case and a cleaning cloth with a L.G.R. X KLAR print. the glass is made by BABERINI, polarized in grey/blue – one of the best real glasses you can get today. beside these sunglasses KLAR sells certainly other collections from L.G.R. f.ex. the wonderful and although limited SAFARI COLLECTION. pics | LTG

TCB DENIM MADE IN JAPAN | GOES BREMERICH JEANS, ILLINGEN

ILLINGEN? never heard about? ILLINGEN is a small village near saarbruecken at the german / french border. maybe you checked my blog posts about MAENNERABEND @ ILLINGEN last november. last week OLI, owner of BREMERICH JEANS, send me a box to check up his newest japanese denim label TCB. this is really something special because TCB is just available at 2 shops in europe: somewhere in UK i think it is LONDON and in ILLINGEN. it’s unbelievable but OLI sold meanwhile 12 FLAT HEAD jeans in small ILLINGEN in the middle of nowhere and so he and his son DUSTIN decided to take one more japanese denim label to their sales range: TCB. this label is producing only these two 5-pocket jeans: a 50s and a 60s cut. both 13.5 oz raw denims are made of zimbabwe cotton in OKAYAMA, japan. the 50s denim is fit loose, a bit more “hairy” and “grained” and not so deep blue. typical are the covered rivets at the back inside pockets and the small red “flag”- really nice! maybe the 60s model is a bit more commercial OLI thinks because of its slimmer fit. and i promise you both models have a great price for japanese denim. check up  BREMERICH JEANS or send OLI a mail: info@bremerichjeans.com. pics | LTG
