PHOTOGRAPHER JOERN POLLEX FOR AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION | HAMBURG HARBOR SHOOTING PART I

HAMBURG based photographer JOERN POLLEX send me some really great pics from a shooting he did for UWE E. MAIER c/o AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION four weeks ago. i got so many beautiful pics that i decided to show you tomorrow some more and a making of video. some facts about JOERN: he learnt photographing at the age of 12 from his father. starting 30 years ago with that famous analog camera CANON A1 – i have had the same – he developped the photos in his own darkroom. JOERN did an education as a photographer and worked for GETTY IMAGES. since january 2014 he works as a freelancer. the AMTRAQ shooting was completely done by JOERN from the location search, model casting to picture editing and post production. SELVEDGE DENIM NECKTIES | BY HEPVILLE CUSTOM CLOTHING

as you know i am a fan of bow-ties. 2 months ago i bought the first neckties ever. both patterned: one camo and one with anchors – what else –, i learnt how to tie the “AMERICAN” way and just some days later i discovered HEPVILLE’s DENIM SELVEDGE NECKTIES at facebook. it took me 3 weeks more to think about if these are must-haves. and indeed they are. each necktie is made of 8oz. selvedge denim, has a loop strap with selvedge details, are 57 inch/144 cm long and 2 9/16 inch/6,5 cm wide at the end. they are hand sewn shut with a hidden slip stitch. the blue one has white and red selvedge at both ends, the khaki beige and green neckties have white selvedge at the ends. for sure this stuff is handmade in germany by BELA the man behind HEPVILLE CUSTOM CLOTHING. check his ETSY shop there is much more great stuff like caps, vests f.ex. pics | LTG

30 minutes ago i got a newsletter from PRESENT LONDON: 15% off – outerwear – code XX. on the screen i saw a jacket which i really good know because last year i was thinking maybe to buy this one. this jacket from the newsletter looks nearly 100% as the ENGINEERED GARMENTS from SS2013. is this a sale? okay, when i checked the page i saw that it is WILLIAM FOX & SONS PATCHWORK BELLOWS JACKET from the actual SS2014 collection. okay?! so searched the EG jacket from SS2013. knowing that EG has a wonderful organized collection archive at their web page i found it in a minute. damn these two jackets look so similar. is there even a business connection between EG and WF&S? you know something about? pics | Present London, Engineered Garments, blog fashionbeans.com

RISING SUN MFG CO. | RANCH HAND DUCK JACKET RAW INDIGO DENIM

another perfect piece for spring. too long this jacket was hanging without use brand new in my cupboard. now it’s time to rock it to get the stiffness out of the denim. this jacket has a lot of wonderful details. especially the brown duck inserts at the pockets, end of the sleeves and at the waist i love so much. it has a vintage fit, pleated front, patch pockets and a buckle back. what a nice classic piece. i got this jacket from volls.de – check the AMTRAQ page to find a RISING SUN dealer near you. pics | LTG

BUZZ RICKSON’S MA-1 "SLENDER ORIG. SPEC. JACKET” @ BURG & SCHILD NEW ONLINE SHOP

okay it is 4 weeks ago that the BURG & SCHILD webshop went online. but it is like it is: less time for me to do the blog posts i wanted before and after christmas because of heavy working. so here we go. searching for a MA-1 jacket from BUZZ RICKSON or REAL McCOY’s i stopped at the new B&S shop, which is really succeed. well done and perfect fitting for the brands and the guys behind BURG & SCHILD. with a rocking and biking attitude, no fashion and pussy affection. straight graphics and wonderful detailed pics f.ex. of this great MA-1 20 years anniversay BR jacket. very nice the small category drawings grey on black – like them very much! GOLDEN BEAR | ORANGE MELTON WOOL SLIM FIT BARRACUDA JACKET

if you read the LTG blog frequently, you know that i am a great fan of orange colored things. this autumn, i got that wonderful GOLDEN BEAR jacket. its color is called TEXAS ORANGE and the label inside says it was made in july 2013 especially for AMTRAQ distribution of GB in middle europe. the cut is named #15 and for me it is a classic VARSITY JACKET. it has a lot of fantastic details and it is so well done. this is highest quality as it has to be for a LIFE TIME GEAR piece … great. beside, i got my MELTON WOOL SLIM FIT BARRACUDA JACKET from B-74 in frankfurt, germany. please check the GOLDEN BEAR site for the story behind this great heritage company if you do not know by far. pics | LTG
