PHOTOGRAPHER JOERN POLLEX FOR AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION | HAMBURG HARBOR SHOOTING PART I

HAMBURG based photographer JOERN POLLEX send me some really great pics from a shooting he did for UWE E. MAIER c/o AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION four weeks ago. i got so many beautiful pics that i decided to show you tomorrow some more and a making of video. some facts about JOERN: he learnt photographing at the age of 12 from his father. starting 30 years ago with that famous analog camera CANON A1 – i have had the same – he developped the photos in his own darkroom. JOERN did an education as a photographer and worked for GETTY IMAGES. since january 2014 he works as a freelancer. the AMTRAQ shooting was completely done by JOERN from the location search, model casting to picture editing and post production. GITMAN VINTAGE | NAUTICAL PATTERNED SHIRTS – SPRING IS COMING

time to put the short sleeved shirts in front of the cupboard – it is getting warmer and warmer day by day here in middle germany. especially these four GITMAN VINTAGE shirts with their nautical prints i love so much. the dark blue ones with the ships and the bandana-like-pattern from the SS 2013 collection are much more heavy than the lightweight poplin shirts i got from volls.de last week. these two are so nice because of their old school nautical pattern. all new GITMAN stuff will be online @ volls.de the next days. the site will be relaunched soon with all the new stuff – check it. pics | LTG

FEINSCHMUCK x PassionFrance® | BRONZE WALLET HOOK STINGRAY PLUS LONDON ANCHOR KNIFE

isn’t that a wonderful combination? i love it. the knife is made by PassionFrance® and the style is named LONDON. it is a maritime knife and because of this i like the combination of the stingray patterned bronze hook with the golden anchor – perfect content. next time i will do a special blog post about this wonderful knife. the hook is massive bronze and very well done – hand made by MARIA and MANFRED STROPPE c/o FEINSCHMUCK. ALEXANDER V. BRONEWSKI, who does the well known and fine because.blog, works also for FEINSCHMUCK. he gave me the simple but very nice and durable lace made of kangaroo leather. FEINSCHMUCK does a lot of hooks with different patterns and a lot of more fine accessories made of bronze and other materials. at their website you will find a list of stores where you can buy this beautiful stuff. PATTERNED SUMMER SHIRTS

the weather forecast told us, that there will be rain and thunderstorms today in middle germany and that the next days will be about 20°C. okay, there was some rain and low winds that blow the 37°C from this morning away. for 1 hour we have had about 22°C, and now at 5 PM it is nearly 30°C again. so the next days i think it’s good to know some colored short sleeved shirts in the cupboard. here some of my favorites. as you see: i love patterned shirts. pics | LTG

NAVY ANCHOR PRINTED OXFORD TRUMAN VEST by ENGINEERED GARMENTS

wow, speed shipping: yesterday afternoon i ordered this anchor printed vest from one of my favorite labels ENGINEERED GARMENTS @ THE BUREAU BELFAST, ireland. this noon, 30 minutes ago the FEDEX man ringed the bell and gave me the box with the vest and the last issue of INVENTORY MAGAZINE. what a wonderful oxford cotton vest with cinch back, slanted chest pocket and 2 lower patch pockets. as every EG piece made in NEW YORK. not onlay another anchor piece, but an extraordinary one! pics | LTG

SALINGSHIPS, CAPTAINS, ANCHORS AND BREMERHAVEN

still posting birthday presents. i got this wonderful vintage poster from ALEX c/o because.blog. it is from “SAIL BREMERHAVEN 2000” where a lot of tall ships met. all the captains signed this wonderful paper; all signs and stamps are originals no prints. so awesome! thx ALEX for this nice present again. the poster will get a place in my office. hope to get it framed soon! pics | LTG

LTG FAVORITES #85 | THE POPEYE TALISMAN by FEINSCHMUCK

at the beginning of november 2012 i met MARIA c/o FEINSCHMUCK and ALEXANDER c/o because blog with UWE from AMTRAQ. MARIA & ALEX gave me a present – the best they could give me as great POPEYE fan from childhood on: an awesome POPEYE TALISMAN made by FEINSCHMUCK. it was so hard not to post this beautiful piece the last weeks because the product launch will be next week at BREAD & BUTTER in berlin at the AMTRAQ stall – but UWE gave me the GO for today. by the way: thanks again so much MARIA & ALEX for this LIFE TIME GEAR. i wear POPEYE nearly every day. beside this medallion FEINSCHMUCK did some other stuff which will be distributed by AMTRAQ. one highlight is the POPEYE BELT. the result of a collaboration between FEINSCHMUCK & TANNER GOODS. check out the other stuff below: vintage western buckles, popeye belt buckles and medallions in different looks and a mega beautifull heavy anchor. all FEINSCHMUCK bronze objects are locally manufactured by a small team in bavaria, germany. i am really excited about the feedback at B&B. pics | LTG &  AMTRAQ

THE ANCHOR LAVATORY BUNG | XMAS PRESENT BY OLLI THE BARBER

yesterday i did not got only my haircut refreshed from OLLI THE BARBER. no, he gave me a very nice packed small parcel with an ANCHOR BUNG – my xmas present! great idea! thanks OLLI, it works and is now in use. my little LEVI has another bung in his lavatory: as a big fish fan his bung is printed with a goldfish. btw you can get your own personalized bung at www.plopp.co. great idea! pics | LTG
