okay it is 4 weeks ago that the BURG & SCHILD webshop went online. but it is like it is: less time for me to do the blog posts i wanted before and after christmas because of heavy working. so here we go. searching for a MA-1 jacket from BUZZ RICKSON or REAL McCOY’s i stopped at the new B&S shop, which is really succeed. well done and perfect fitting for the brands and the guys behind BURG & SCHILD. with a rocking and biking attitude, no fashion and pussy affection. straight graphics and wonderful detailed pics f.ex. of this great MA-1 20 years anniversay BR jacket. very nice the small category drawings grey on black – like them very much! as a great POPEYE fan i own my talisman from FEINSCHMUCK since they’ve done the first pieces one year ago. beside the talisman, FEINSCHMUCK does a POPEYE BELT BUCKLE and different POPEYE ZIPPOS. all pieces are manufactured by hand by the small FEINSCHMUCK team in bavaria, germany. these pieces are made of bronze and you can get it with patina or without. in germany you find this great stuff at PETER FIELDS, berlin, and B-74 in frankfurt, main. pics | Alexander v. RED WING SHOES | THE 9877 IRISH SETTER vs THE 877

i am really happy to get one of 60 pairs that came strictly limited to europe, because this boot is an absolut must-have-collector-item. the boot is only available @ RED WING STORES. thx KAY from RW STORE BERLING & HAMBURG for reserving the boot. the 9877 was previously sold in JAPAN beside some other styles in that beautiful color: SEQUOIA GOLD. i did a post in october 2011: BOOT OF THE DAY | #91 | LIMITED RED WING BOOT 9871. the 9877 features some details of the first IRISH SETTER production in 1952. so the SEQUOIA colored leather is the original one followed by the famous oro-iginal. only at the top of right boot there are stamped RED WING letters: no corporate wing logo on the boot except the sole which is exactly the same on both boots. inside the 9877 there is the old version of the IRISH SETTER tag – beautiful! boot and RED WING SHOE experts sure will notice the square stitched corners where the leather is fixed to the tongue – an outstanding detail. the boot comes with heavy leather laces and in a wonderful IRISH SETTER labeled box. by the way, the 877 has on another very nice detail: on every eyelet the letters RED WING are engraved. the 877 will leave my collection. my friend PZ will adopt this really nice walked in boot. so i know these boots will be in good hands … pics | LTG

RED WING SHOES x BURG & SCHILD COLLABORATION | THE BLACK LOGGER BOOT #2007

nearly on this day in three weeks on the 20th of october berlin based BURG & SCHILD will celebrate their 5th anniversary. KAY, SHANE and the shop staff did something really special for this celebration day: they created four exclusive and strictly limited articles in collaboration with EDWIN, STETSON INDIGOFERRA and RED WING SHOES – THE BLACK COLLECTION. respect – i like those activities! this shows me the passion and respect for the products the people have running a store like BURG & SCHILD. especially the BLACK LOGGER #2007 is a big thing for me and i think for the B&S guys it is the highlight of the BLACK COLLECTION. at this moment the boot is a top secret. so i just can show you an illustration how this black beauty will look a like. below you see a classic black RWS logger from the 70ies. beside some other facts: strictly limited to 99 pairs (sorry, 100, but i reserved one for LIFE TIME GEAR), made of black star leather with matt finished gold hardware, a RWS neoprene cord sole you know from the 2268 engineer and a 8″ height like iconic  #899. the base of the look was a boot KAY found on a flea market near joshua tree some time ago. RWS gave the shoe the style number #2007, the founding year of BURG & SCHILD. in german we say “großes kino”. exciting! the boot will be launched at the anniversary date on 20th of october 2012. pics | Burg & Schild, Berlin; LOST&FOUND

this is a vintage lineman RED WING boot from the 1970s. style #699. maybe the #2007 will have a similar character. very nice. not for pussies …

LIFE TIME GEAR @ BREAD & BUTTER, BERLIN, GERMANY

tomorrow i will go to B&B, berlin. for me is going to a fashion show not as usual as for most of the guys i will meet at the L.O.C.K. and FIRE DEPT. for me it’s something special, because i will not do a job when i join B&B. it is pure emotion and affinity to all these things i blog about. i am so happy that i could manage this trip to berlin. my job as an art director has to rest the next days and the scheduled jobs are delegated to my crew. in berlin i will join the blogger project BANDIT BLOGGERS. hm, nice logo isn’t it? i did it quickly last week … and i like it. but i do not finally know exactly what will happen. you will hear about it soon – for sure. it’s great to meet a lot of friends in berlin and exciting to see some new stuff. more from wednesday on. pics | B&B, berlin
