B74 ORDERSHOW S/S 2017 | DAY #02 “SHINING SO BRIGHT – THE SUN OVER FRANKFURT AND THE VIBES @ ORDERSHOW B74”

Second day @ B74 ORDERSHOW. Not such a smooth start as yesterday because of f***ing Frankfurt city traffic – a lot of road works: too much. Orange Beast brought me in under 15 Minutes from DA to FFM, but then it took me about an hour from the first FFM road sign to B74. Breathing … calm down … and then the sun went up, blue sky, just some cool clouds, the banking towers, the B74 sign, beloved SPIDERMAN: what a view, when you reach the parking lot of B74! This view compensated all trouble before. After the first espresso I started my daily tour and met a really good friend: Oli Breitwieser from RIDERS ROOM in Hamburg, Germany. It was 2 years ago we met the last time – damn. And it was an absolute pleasure to meet Sven Eden, the owner of RIDERS ROOM. Seen so often @ social media but today for the first time live – great! B74 ORDERSHOW S/S 2017 | DAY #01 “GETTING STARTED … MUCH TRAFFIC …”

This morning B74 ORDERSHOW started. For me a smooth start cruisin’ 30 kilometers with the Orange Beast straight to my parking lot directly in front of B74 – thx for this comfort, KAMI – this is f***in great! While getting my equipment ready it was really busy at the stalls around me … here just some impressions. B74 ORDERSHOW S/S 2017 | DAY #00 “READY TO RUMBLE”

The next days I will be @ the B74 ORDERSHOW in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, to stay in contact with good friends, meet people and check all this great new stuff from the labels which will be presented. Even today while the set-up was done I find some really nice and interesting stuff. The whole day it was really busy around B74. The empty and clean area got filled hour by hour – exciting. So Kami owner and founder of B74 told me: “We are ready to rumble!” I am happy to be part of this ORDERSHOW the next 4 days. pics | LTG

THE RED WING SHOES “ORIGINAL BOOT” REPLICA FROM 1905 | THE 1ST RED WING BOOT EVER

By cleaning up my boot closet I found this black beauty. Damn, this boot is so nice but my wife didn’t wear it for a long time and will not wear it anymore. This is not her boot style – she prefers the RWS Moc Toes and Chelseas. I bought this rare piece from RED WING SHOES in 2005 at Red WING SHOES Frankfurt, Germany. The model number is #850. They produced just a very small and limited run of these for the 100th birthday of RWS, I think to remember. Now I must give it away because I need more space for other boots I got the last time for my collection. Tomorrow I will give the boot to KAMI, owner of Red Wing Store Frankfurt, and we will show it @ the B74 Vintage Sale on Saturday 14th. Maybe I will sell it or Kami will take it to his magic archive. We will see … I can’t calm down seeing this boot for the first time again after some years: what an awesome boot! And it is a really good and original Replica compared to the picture of the “ORIGINAL BOOT” from 1905. The original work boot first year featured leather, buckles and laces for a secure fit. @ first some really great news for all RWS aficionados: The Online Store of Red Wing Shoe Store Frankfurt, Germany, has reopened after a complete relaunch: www.redwingfrankfurt.com! And I love this clean graphic style so much. I do not want to see the 877th rugged or vintage look-a-like page. Complements. Kami you did a perfect job with your team! So we did a test shopping some days before the shop went online … the result was the brand new limited RED WING #8882 – a perfect online order: Ordered in the morning and the next day the boot arrived. The online order process itself is very simple, fast and smooth … it works!

Constant readers of LTG Blog know that I like blue RWS a lot. Two years ago I got the indigo colored classic work #8100 Oxford from Japan and I still love it. The #8882 is the same shoe just 6″ high like the classic #875, moc toed, made of Indigo Portage Leather and completed by the Traction Tred Cushion Crepe Wedge. Very nice is the brown ending of the bootleg – a small detail, but I love the contrast between the rich blue and brown leather. Another nice feature: you don’t get only the standard Red Wing Shoe Laces but a second pair made of leather. The leather laces look very nice but for me these are not so practical. LEVI’S HAND-STITCHED LEATHER BASEBALL | THE BEST “HANDSCHMEICHLER” EVER

Last Sunday I went to B74, Frankfurt/Main, Germany to visit my buddy Kami. B74 was open on Sunday because in Frankfurt there was the gigantic “25-Years-German-Wiedervereinings-Party” – most shops opened their doors and the city was crowded. This little LEVI’S LEATHER GOODS gimmick was lying at the desk and it looked so wonderful – just while lying there as it wanted to say: come and take me with you 😉 … but Kami: “Not for sale … even for buddies – no chance”. Okay, he just got 2 of these and the first owner of this pretty hand-stitched baseball was standing beside me. So proud of his daily companion. This piece of leather is really nice to touch and to handle, press and turn around in the hand … so f***ing relaxing. But this short story came to an happy end, because Kami gave it to me – he wants to check LEVI’S for a third one. Unfortunately I can’t give you further informations about the ball because you don’t find anything about in wwww – no chance – and I do not know anything about the history of baseballs and how they are made. When I got the ball out of the cotton bag I put some RED WING SHOES mink oil on it. The ball got an even better touch and a nicer color – I am excited about how my new „Handschmeichler“ will age … pics | LTG

ORDERSHOW SS2016 @ B74 SELECTED GOODS, FRANKFURT GERMANY | PART #01

Last Thursday I went to B74, Frankfurt, Germany, to meet good friends and to check up some upcoming stuff for S/S 2016. As every time it was great – KAMI & IRIS are perfect hosts. Again it was a really hot day in the middle of Frankfurt City, but the vibes downstairs and the temperatures were so cool and really smooth. Beside a lot of nice stuff from PASSIONFRANCE, JOHNSON MOTORS INC., SCARTI LAB, REDWING SHOES etc., I had two highlights: the upcoming collections from 1ST PAT-RN and PRIVATE WHITE VC. And both sales men, CRISTIANO (1ST PAT-RN) and DIRK were so kind to explain me in detail the stuff with such an emotion and addiction that I could have been listened to for hours. … but time was running. RED WING POST #02 LAUNCH @ RED WING STORE FRANKFURT, GERMANY

Yesterday I joined the launch party of RED WING POST #02 @ RED WING STORE FRANKFURT “The Mother of all RWS Stores in Europe”. It was a really nice event with a lot of friends, some new faces and what a luck best cooled drinks, because yesterday in Frankfurt the thermometer showed again more than 30°C. It was so hot! Thx KAMI and his team for an amazing evening! It is a pity that the RW POST just appears once a year. Some peeks inside of this well done RW POST #02 will follow asap. pics | LTG

B74 SELECTED GOOD x LEICA GALERIE FRANKFURT | SUMMERPARTY

Yesterday I joined the summer party of B74 and LEICA Galerie in Frankfurt Main, Germany. It was such a nice party while the temperatures run up to 40°C / 104°F and more. On hour way home the instruments in the car showed  40.5°C outside … damn hot for a middle European. But the party was really cool, because KAMI owner and founder of B74 SELECTED GOODS, his team and the guys from LEICA did a really good job when they organized this event. Wonderful finger food corresponding to the hot summer weather, best service – i can’t remember me a minute without an ice cold water or lemon in my hand. I am a bit said that i could not meet the special guest Rainer W. Schlegelmilch. When I had to leave in the afternoon he still wasn’t there. Schlegelmilch is one of the most famous Formula 1 Photographers in the world. In the rooms of B74 there was an exhibition with examples of  Schlegelmilchs great work. I had the great pleasure to work with him in a project for a common client years ago. We did a Formula 1 calender. Yesterday you have had the chance to buy his book and to get a signature by the master himself. But no master, no book.  Although the weather was so damn hot a lot of people came and amazingly all people where in a good mood while sweating to the bones … pics | LTG
