WOODEN BEARD COMBS, OILS & MORE | by THE ORIGINAL BIG RED BEARD COMBS

Some weeks ago my friend OLIVER WENKEL send me pics of wooden combs – maybe something interesting for LTG blog. And for sure I had to check up this stuff from “THE ORIGINAL BIG RED BEARD COMBS”. What i found @ their site was awesome! A lot of nice beard combs, oils, balms and other necessaries for the man with a hairy face. Everything designed so f***in’ nice. The consequence? I own 2 new beard combs and I am testing 2 new beard oils which make me happy every morning i use one of these. The combs are not only beautiful but great to handle too. So lightweight and so nice to touch. And they work perfect – it was never so easy to treat the beard. My sailor jerry style pin up girl engraved comb No.9 is “crafted with a laminated technology, which ensures that your comb is made as tough as possible. The comb is made from a total of five layers,  with the two inner layers running perpendicular to the face layers to add rigidity and strength to the teeth and body of the comb. With this process we’ve drastically increased the strength to ensure your comb will be around for quite some time.” The combs are made from Canadian wood cut down by Lumberjacks. No plastic here only 100% all natural lumber and believe me: You’ll feel the difference. And Oliver, thx for the hint again. pics | LTG

WOODEN iPhone Case & iPad DOCKS | by WOODCESSOIRES

Maybe you say, “Oh no, just another wooden iPhone case” … No, the products from WOODCESSOIRES are much nicer and more “nature touched” than all the wooden stuff i saw before for Iphone and Co: by watching at and touching. Especially the iPad ECOSTAND is an awesome, easy done wooden block which works best. Always a pleasure to put the iPad in it. That’s about the wood they guys @ WOODCESSOIRES use: “After all it’s the nature of our HARDWOOD that creates the beauty. It’s also why we love our profession. It is the base to our daily work. The way it dries and changes with the seasons  how it reacts to tools and traditional finishing is MATCHLESS. Combined with our yearlong experience it turns to something AMAZING. We mainly work with SHIPWOOD wood that is older than our grandparents wood that has seen many seas and from which every piece knows to tell his very OWN HISTORY.” All stuff is handcrafted and made in germany. Also the prices are great. Check their site: www.woodcessories.com . The WOODCESSOIRES range offers stuff for all actual iPhones and iPads. pics | lifetimegear

LTG BOOT & SHOE COLLECTION | 28 | VINTAGE DURANGO WEST STOVEPIPE BOOTS

Put these pretty rugged DURANGO WEST STOVEPIPE BOOTS out of one of my large boot storage boxes in the basement. It is time to wear some western boots again … and damn, these are so nice: what a great patina. The leather was treated as it was: so irregular in its colors with so many different structures. The boots were a bit dry of a longtime storage so I decided to treat them with MUSTANG PASTE knowing that they will get a bit darker – a very nice colorway too. So – it is time to boot on … pics | LTG

JACK/KNIFE | REVERSIBLE JACKETS PART II: MELTON WOOL & DEADSTOCK JAPANESE SELVEDGE DENIM

sorry for delay! it doesn’t took one day to show the other great reversible JACK/KNIFE jacket but a week. too much work, a f***ing cold … but here it is: the second J/K jacket made of 12oz. linen japanese selvedge denim and 13oz melton navy wool. i loved the touch of this piece when i had it at my office for taking the photos – just great. the buttons are so nice: hand carved and dyed for 3 times in indigo for a rich deep blue that will patina over time to reveal the natural ash wood look. the construction is 100 % the same as the J/K tweed jacket: a real reversible jacket that features vereything for both ways of carrying. no more words about the strictly limitation – you know this …
but again the shops you maybe can get this wonderful jacket:
