B74 – SELECTED GOODS, FRANKFURT, GERMANY, CELEBRATED 7TH ANNIVERSARY

Yesterday I joined the 7th anniversary of B74-SELECTED GOODS. It was a must for me to visit Kami, the owner of this great shop, and his wife Iris. And it was a very fine but quite come together of friends after this horrible night before in Paris Friday 13th. It was obvious that something terrible happened … and we were talking about a lot. Me I wasn’t in the mood to do a lot of photos, but I did some … it was dark … so excuse me for the not so good quality at all. It was great to meet Frank Schulte in Person for the first time, the man behind the great Top Hatter blog. And if you have the possibility to visit and join B74 and its Sample & Vintage Sale you should do that the upcoming Saturday 21st of November: there are a lot of great offers in gear, accessories and vintage furniture, bicycles and so on. THE LANZA JACKET by 1ST PAT-RN | INTERNATIONAL TRAD MEET ITALIAN WORKWEAR

Last week I got a big parcel from UWE E MAIER c/o AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION. What a surprise, he send me the 1ST PAT-RN LANZA JACKET. What an indigo beauty! I was, no I am restless excited about this 1960s Italian work wear inspired jacket. The LANZA is made in Italy of a double indigo selvedge denim. The fit is classical perfect without any needles “Schnick Schnack”, but so nice details like the selvedge seams inside and the horn buttons. It features one button flap chest pocket, 2 lower inset pockets, adjustable cuffs, rounded collar with a detachable throat tab, rear cinch and selvedge detail on the inside placket. It was delivered unwashed –  so the photos I did show the Jacket unwashed. While i am writing this lines LANZA gets its first reversed side wash – cold and light. Because of its nice indigo dying it colors slightly even when I did the photos.The jaakcet is available @ VMC, LowDownondenim, Zenit, JeansLife and The Bureau Belfast, where I got the 2 pics which show the washed LANZA – THX! I am really impressed by this great 1ST PAT-RN stuff – love this stuff expecting some more pieces next time. Christian Berto does a great job.

WORKADAY WALLET by TANNER GOODS

What a lucky break. When visiting KAMI c/o B74 in Frankfurt some days ago, i found this nice little wallet lying in a glass cabinet. Didn’t noticed this TANNER GOODS classic before. It is their so called “WORKADAY WALLET” with enough space for many banknotes and a lot of cards. Great to put this little thing in the back pocket of your denim or chino. It is combined with waxed canvas and smooth leather. KAMI told me that there was a special edition which combined leather with this f***ing nice flashy orange hunting canvas. If anyone still has one of these please send me a message – thx. Isn’t the combination with my vintage TANNER GOODS card holder great? I wanna use the WW just for notes, not for cards. The other WW is owned by KAMI. He has his WW in use for about one year. EVERYDAY TOTE BAG | by TANNER GOODS

this pretty thing isn’t mine. UWE E. MAIER c/o AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION gave it to me filled with new TELLASON STUFF just borrowed. this charcoal colored EVERYDAY TOTE by TANNER GOODS is so nice worn in and broken in that i had to take some pics before giving it back. the bag is constructed from a strout of waxed 18 oz. filter twill canvas and HORWEEN RICH CHROMEXCEL leather. all components are secured by solid brass rivets and four button studs. it has external pockets, a zippered pocket inside and adjustable straps. the dimensions are 15″ tall x 13″ wide x 6″ deep. so nice – UWE, you own a wonderful tote bag. pics | LTG

PHOTOGRAPHER JOERN POLLEX FOR AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION | HAMBURG HARBOR SHOOTING PART I

HAMBURG based photographer JOERN POLLEX send me some really great pics from a shooting he did for UWE E. MAIER c/o AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION four weeks ago. i got so many beautiful pics that i decided to show you tomorrow some more and a making of video. some facts about JOERN: he learnt photographing at the age of 12 from his father. starting 30 years ago with that famous analog camera CANON A1 – i have had the same – he developped the photos in his own darkroom. JOERN did an education as a photographer and worked for GETTY IMAGES. since january 2014 he works as a freelancer. the AMTRAQ shooting was completely done by JOERN from the location search, model casting to picture editing and post production. ORDERSHOW AMTRAQ @ B-74 IN FRANKFURT/MAIN

last thursday i took a ride to B-74 with my brother to join the ordershow of AMTRAQ. i was not in the mood to check up new stuff and so i did just some people shots, talked a lot with friends and had a very nice meal with all the guys and girls at RITZ ffm around the corner B-74. thx DIRK for the invitation. it was nearly a familial atmosphere there two days ago, because a lot of people left the show to get some days off before the next event starts at ZURICH, switzerland next tuesday. pics | LTG

GOLDEN BEAR | ORANGE MELTON WOOL SLIM FIT BARRACUDA JACKET

if you read the LTG blog frequently, you know that i am a great fan of orange colored things. this autumn, i got that wonderful GOLDEN BEAR jacket. its color is called TEXAS ORANGE and the label inside says it was made in july 2013 especially for AMTRAQ distribution of GB in middle europe. the cut is named #15 and for me it is a classic VARSITY JACKET. it has a lot of fantastic details and it is so well done. this is highest quality as it has to be for a LIFE TIME GEAR piece … great. beside, i got my MELTON WOOL SLIM FIT BARRACUDA JACKET from B-74 in frankfurt, germany. please check the GOLDEN BEAR site for the story behind this great heritage company if you do not know by far. pics | LTG

B-74 5TH ANNIVERSARY EVENT 30TH NOV 2013

yesterday i joined B-74’s 5TH anniversary event. it was really nice to meet some friends there and it was a relaxed atmosphere. good people, drinks and food – at the perfect location! all in the invitation listed artisans and merchants were there. KAMI and his staff did a perfect job – smooth. at the same time i could take a peak to UWE E.MAIER’s new AMTRAQ show room which is on the 3rd floor in the same building berliner strasse 74: perfect! pics | LTG
