SEASONS GREETINGS | THANK YOU

Hi guys, I am so sorry, to post only a few times this year on life-time-gear. I was very busy with my jobs and projects in “real life”. With www.b74.de, www.redwingfrankfurt.com and the FREITAG by B74 Selected Goods I got new clients I work for in the Social Media section. It is great to work with such good friends in a perfect team. All the more it makes me proud and so happy that you still follow my blog or you just discovered LTG blog. Thank you so much for this! I am near the 2.500.000 click mark – awesome. RED WING SHOE STORE FRANKFURT TEAMS UP WITH LIFE TIME GEAR | INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK & CO.

Hi Guys, for those who did not hear about the collaboration between RWS Store Frankfurt, Germany, and me, now you know it. Since 1 1/2 year I feed the Instagram – @redwingfrankfurt –, the Facebook and Twitter – – accounts of the oldest and very first Red Wing Shoe Store outside the USA. And it is a great pleasure for me to do that, day by day. Working with friends, working for friends, working for maybe the best shoe brand of the world – yeah, it is indeed a great honor for me to do this! Before we start working together there was a long and deep friendship with Kami, Store-owner, and the other guys of the great Red Wing Frankfurt family. Our team work was a logical consequence and a win-to-win situation for us Red Wing aficionados. And I think  we do a good job – our number of followers is growing day by day. WHISKEY & WAX EVENT @ B74 SELECTED GOODS | SOME IMPRESSIONS

Last Saturday I took part @ B74 Selected Goods x Filson Event WHISKEY & WAX. At the same time the B74 Crew and family celebrated the 9th Anniversary of this great concept store. It was really something special for me to meet Michael Uhlemann c/o cuisine-m in person. Over the last months we have had constant contact by fon and mail and it was time to see! What a wonderful person – a friend! It was a smooth atmosphere seeing some people waxing their stuff or just watching how correct waxing is done while others tried American Whiskeys. And me I made a nice find: American Single Malt Whiskey made by WESTLAND. What a great Taste and what a fluke, the distillery is in the same road where the Filson Headquarter is. WHISKEY & WAX EVENT @ B74 SELECTED GOODS SATURDAY 28TH OF OCTOBER

He guys, on Saturday the 28th of October my friends and client B74 Selected Goods will do a “Whiskey & Wax” event with Filson from 12 pm to 7 pm. I will also be there to do some nice shots.

“WAX YOUR COAT, DRINK OUR WHISKEY”

Filson’s Tin Cloth coats and pants will protect you from wind, rain, brush and worse for a generation or more – if you maintain it. When the wax comes off, you’ve got to add more. Join the event for a crash course on how it’s done, while you sip on some good American Bourbon. Feel free to bring a garment or a bag that could use a fresh coat. Furthermore B74 Selected Goods will celebrate its 9th Anniversary on the 28th. We all want you to be part of the B74 Selected Goods Family and join this special day with us!

INTERNATIONAL BARBER CONVENTION 16TH/17TH SEPTEMBER | JUST SOME IMPRESSIONS

Hi folks, sorry for a longer break @ life-time-gear.com, but I was busy on the road. So three weeks ago I joined the International Barber Convention in Düsseldorf, Germany. I was booked to do some Social Media for Olli The Barber “Rock’n’Razor” and KMS. It was a great event. Crazy and best styled men – mostly –, pretty women – not many; it was a truly event for men! – and a lot of cool impressions. They choose the best location they could choose: Classic Remise, Düsseldorf, where vintage and extra ordinary cars are parked. To make it short: just take a look at some impressions. KIM THE BUTCHER | HANDPRINTED “THE MILO CLEAVER” SHIRT

Damn, want to do this post weeks ago, when I got this great shirt by KIM THE BUTCHER fresh out of the mailbox. But what shall I say … holidays, business dates and a lot to do in my real life job … okay now it works. I was so happy getting this “now sold out” shirt, because in real it looks even better than on the photo in the “THE BUTCHER SHOPPE”! Kim did the shirt because of celebrating “be into Punk for over 20 years” himself. Great idea, so I can be part of his party and the owner of this f***ing great shirt, which is a homage to his very first love the “DESCENDENTS”. You know the “Milo goes to College” cover? If you don’t you’ll find it some pics below. The shirt is a typical “Butcher” style interpretation. I think the “F.Dick” cleaver from the late 19th century is covered by “The Butcher’s” glasses. The shirt is hand printed on 200 gr cotton. And Kim, thx for all the patches — !!! pics | LTG

ACTION PACKED RED WING SHOES ILLUSTRATIONS

When doing my daily blog, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook check up, I found these so nice illustrations at the Twitter account of @OreNo2Che from Japan. As you know I am a great comic fan – what a perfect combination this Red Wing boots inspired Manga drawings. I like the way the iconic RWS styles PECOS, HUNTSMAN, 877, LOGGER and ENGINEER are drawn. Since days I try to find the source of the pics – no chance. It would be great to see the whole pictures, the complete format and not only clippings. GIN TONIC LIQUID FINE SOAP

Damn, this soap is a Must-Have for GIN aficionados. What a great idea. The soap comes in a heavy old school apothecary bottle and a bronze optic hand pump – really significant. When washing your hands you first will smell wonderful citrus notes followed by the smell of cinchona, which is characteristic for every Tonic Water. After washing your hands you will smell a smart juniper taste. A great experience! And don’t worry, the soap is Ph-adjusted so that your hands stay smooth and fresh. It is made in Karlsruhe, Germany.
