JUST SOME X-MAS PRESENT IDEAS | #09 TELLASON W10 LONG SLEEVE SINGLE POCKET SHIRT

Damn, aren’t these nice? This week Uwe E. Mair c/o AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION gave me the new SINGLE POCKET LONG SLEEVE SHIRT by TELLASON in two different versions. The shirt is based on a dress shirt from the 1950s which TONY PATELLA, founder and co-owner of TELLASAON, got in his vintage collection. I love this authentic old-school look, with that big, masculine collar, one front pocket and the “heavy duty” finish. The dark navy one is made of an unwashed 7.5oz twill from japan. Take a look at the Corozo (ivory nut) buttons – so nice. The stripped shirt is made of a Cone Mills White Oak vintage reproduction 100% cotton fabric. Its look is smarter and the wear is it too … not so heavy duty. The fabric has a softer touch – very comfortable and a great look with its stripes. Same cut, but tow different wonderful shirts – both Made in San Francisco, California. For your last xmas buys check the TELLASON site. DOUK-DOUK CHROMATIQUE | CLASSIC FRENCH-MADE POCKET KNIFE IN PURE RED

got this wonderful red colored DOUK-DOUK from volls.de – KLAUS sells PASSION FRANCE now. and for sure i did not know since yesterday that this french classic knife is available in a wonderful rich enamel red – a must-have-item. and the best i got it as a present from KLAUS … thx buddy! formerly the DOUK-DOUK was designed to be sold in french colonies. the engraving on the handle of this knives depict a “DOUK-DOUK”, a native mythological character. my red DOUK-DOUK shows “THE SORCIER” (the sorcerer). the knife is still made from stainless steel in france, its blade is a “turkish clip” contour and its handle is folded steel-metal. it has very slim proportions so that you can put in any pocket. beside, DOUK-DOUK is the preferred knife of the FRENCH FOREIGN LEGION. for much more information please check douk-douk.com . my DOUK-DOUK is kept by a OBBI GOOD LABEL MTC wallet chain – love this. its great when you can put a knife to your pant this way. the red DOUK-DOUK CHROMATIQUE is delivered in a red soft leather slip case so that you could put it to your belt. a steel honing rod is included too.  … pics | LTG

RAW DENIM, BEER, BOOTS, BIKES, GIN, TALKIN’, MEETING FRIENDS @ 5TH MAENNERABEND AT BREMERCIH JEANS, ILLINGEN, GER

as last year it was again a fantastic event in the out of nowhere in SAARLAND, germany, near the previous french border. great, what the BREMERICH FAMILY particularly OLI BREMERICH and his team from the shop arrange and organize for MAENNERABEND every year. the guys in and around this small town ILLINGEN can be lucky! also, here out in the country the people are so cool, so kind and so honest – a great atmosphere! when i sometimes join events in big towns the folks are often so bigheaded and such a kind of fake. so what, this was a wonderful night, which was much too short … time was running so fast. a big thank you again to KATJA & OLI BREMERICH for best hospitably. for me it is something like coming home when visiting OLI & KATJA. i did a lot of pics so i will post a second part later. pics // LTG

THE 7OZ. CLAMPDOWN COTTON LINEN SHIRT by TELLASON

what a nice lightweight 7oz. selvage work shirt made of 35% linen and 65% cotton from italy. for sure the shirt is cut and sewn in SAN FRANCISCO with all the features you know from TELLASON’s CLAMPDOWN shirt. check the nice details like the knife and pencil holders, the selvage seams and smart buttons. at the moment the shirt turns some rounds in washing machine. the indigo is brutal marking. just by touching the shirt for these pics i got dark blue fingertips. on monday i joined the ordershow s14 @ B-74, FRANKFURT/MAIN, GERMANY. it was nice to check some new stuff and meet a lot of friends and people i never saw before. as every visit at this special ordershow it was amazing and it’s quite simple because you must not rase one label: all the distributors show great stuff. so here just some impressions. pics | LTG

EVERYDAY TOTE BAG | by TANNER GOODS

this pretty thing isn’t mine. UWE E. MAIER c/o AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION gave it to me filled with new TELLASON STUFF just borrowed. this charcoal colored EVERYDAY TOTE by TANNER GOODS is so nice worn in and broken in that i had to take some pics before giving it back. the bag is constructed from a strout of waxed 18 oz. filter twill canvas and HORWEEN RICH CHROMEXCEL leather. all components are secured by solid brass rivets and four button studs. it has external pockets, a zippered pocket inside and adjustable straps. the dimensions are 15″ tall x 13″ wide x 6″ deep. so nice – UWE, you own a wonderful tote bag. pics | LTG

LIMITED INDIGO DYED 8 OZ. CLAMPDOWN SHIRT | by TELLASON

some weks ago i got this wonderful TELLASON shirt from UWE E.MAIER c/o AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION. it is the classic 8 oz. canvas CLAMPDOWN shirt which was khaki before it was dyed with nature indigo. this was done by the crop-dye factory in NEUBRANDENBURG, germany which does all the indigo dyed MERZ B. SCHWANEN shirts. the first run was limited to 24 pieces … mine is #04. i love this irregular nature dying. you can get this shirt just at selected dealers here in germany f.ex. B-74 and RIDERS ROOM. i am very excited how the shirt will look like when it was washed the first time. i should to do this because of marking off – i will show you the result. here some facts of the CLAMPDOWN shirt: fabric made in USA by MOUNT VERNON MILLS, cut and sewn in SAN FRANCISCO, knife and pencil holders sewn into chest pockets, top flap of pocket lined with CONE MILLS WHITE OAK 7.5 oz denim. pics | LTG

PHOTOGRAPHER JOERN POLLEX FOR AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION | HAMBURG HARBOR SHOOTING PART I

HAMBURG based photographer JOERN POLLEX send me some really great pics from a shooting he did for UWE E. MAIER c/o AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION four weeks ago. i got so many beautiful pics that i decided to show you tomorrow some more and a making of video. some facts about JOERN: he learnt photographing at the age of 12 from his father. starting 30 years ago with that famous analog camera CANON A1 – i have had the same – he developped the photos in his own darkroom. JOERN did an education as a photographer and worked for GETTY IMAGES. since january 2014 he works as a freelancer. the AMTRAQ shooting was completely done by JOERN from the location search, model casting to picture editing and post production. NEW BELT FOR THE LIFE TIME GEAR BUCKLE | by FEINSCHMUCK x ALEX v. BRONWESKI c/o BECAUSE BLOG

last week i got my awesome LTG buckel made by FEINSCHMUCK back with a new dark chocolate brown leather belt. this was well done by ALEXANDER v. BRONEWSKI who is doing the great BECAUSE blog. now the belt is perfect. it is made of a very nice and strong SCHACHENMEYER leather and ALEX did the perfect size for me: best fit! and he put a really great surprise on to the belt: inside the belt he embossed my initials EJ and LTG with two stars. great idea! thank you so much ALEX! pics | LTG
