LTG BOOT & SHOE COLLECTION | 26 | VIBERG SERVICE BOOT 1950 WITH VIBRAM 4014 WHITE CRISTY SOLE

2 months ago i did a post about my VIBERG SERVICE BOOT 1950 in black with a DAINITE SOLE. todays #26 boot of my collection is the same boot just brown colored with another sole, the WHITE CRISTY VIBRAM 4014. as the pics show, i did not wear this boot so often. i prefer the black SERVICE BOOT with its DAINITE SOLE much more. i think this sole fits the look of the boot much better. the #4014 is comfortable but it looks like a contemporary compromise to me. when i wear this boot sometimes i think if i wear a hybrid between a RED WING BOOT and a VIBERG. for sure this VIBERG SERVICE BOOT is a really perfect and best made boot but not my favorite one. if it might be yours, you can get it @ volls.de.  pics | LTG

VINTAGE LEVI’S RED JEANS FOUND | PART II “HOLDEN”

this is the second pair of LEVI’S RED denim i found in my box. the “HOLDEN” must be from 2003 or earlier. it has a wide carpenter fit, a classic workpant with no backriser and a high hem. straight leg, bearing two unequal slash pockets and knife pocket on the left side leg, black sew-on suspender buttons and uneven belt loops. this HOLDEN is made from 10oz sulphur-dyed twill fabric which gives this special light blue color and worn out look. unfortunately the jeans got marks from storage – i do not know how this could happen. found the same HOLDEN but brand new in japan for 340 US $. it is apitty that it got a bit too small … pics | LTG

VINTAGE LEVI’S RED JEANS FOUND | PART I “BILLY BOB”

i was searching for one of my vintage western shirts. so some days ago i was checking up one of some big ZARGES storage boxes in the basement, where i have a lot of clothes parked. stuff i won’t wear at the moment or i am just collecting like vintage western shirts and boots, work boots, denim, t-shirts … so i found 2 more than 10 years old LEVI’S RED jeans. i was so surprised how detailed these where made. today i will show you this very rare “BILLY BOB”. no selvedge, classic straight leg, a lot of zigzag stitched details, suspender buttons, … tomorrow i will continue with my LEVIS’S RED “THE HOLDEN”. maybe i will find the original suspenders till tomorrow … and damn, LEVI’S RED isn’t payable today. check the prices @ LNCC … unbelievable, there isn’t a pant under 650 €. pics | LTG

SELVEDGE DENIM NECKTIES | BY HEPVILLE CUSTOM CLOTHING

as you know i am a fan of bow-ties. 2 months ago i bought the first neckties ever. both patterned: one camo and one with anchors – what else –, i learnt how to tie the “AMERICAN” way and just some days later i discovered HEPVILLE’s DENIM SELVEDGE NECKTIES at facebook. it took me 3 weeks more to think about if these are must-haves. and indeed they are. each necktie is made of 8oz. selvedge denim, has a loop strap with selvedge details, are 57 inch/144 cm long and 2 9/16 inch/6,5 cm wide at the end. they are hand sewn shut with a hidden slip stitch. the blue one has white and red selvedge at both ends, the khaki beige and green neckties have white selvedge at the ends. for sure this stuff is handmade in germany by BELA the man behind HEPVILLE CUSTOM CLOTHING. check his ETSY shop there is much more great stuff like caps, vests f.ex. pics | LTG

ENGINEERED GARMENTS x WILLIAM FOX & SONS | MULTI PATCHWORK BAKER JACKET x PATCHWORK BELLOWS JACKET … IS THIS A COPY ACCIDENT?

30 minutes ago i got a newsletter from PRESENT LONDON: 15% off – outerwear – code XX. on the screen i saw a jacket which i really good know because last year i was thinking maybe to buy this one. this jacket from the newsletter looks nearly 100% as the ENGINEERED GARMENTS from SS2013. is this a sale? okay, when i checked the page i saw that it is WILLIAM FOX & SONS PATCHWORK BELLOWS JACKET from the actual SS2014 collection. okay?! so searched the EG jacket from SS2013. knowing that EG has a wonderful organized collection archive at their web page i found it in a minute. damn these two jackets look so similar. is there even a business connection between EG and WF&S? you know something about? pics | Present London, Engineered Garments, blog fashionbeans.com

RISING SUN MFG CO. | RANCH HAND DUCK JACKET RAW INDIGO DENIM

another perfect piece for spring. too long this jacket was hanging without use brand new in my cupboard. now it’s time to rock it to get the stiffness out of the denim. this jacket has a lot of wonderful details. especially the brown duck inserts at the pockets, end of the sleeves and at the waist i love so much. it has a vintage fit, pleated front, patch pockets and a buckle back. what a nice classic piece. i got this jacket from volls.de – check the AMTRAQ page to find a RISING SUN dealer near you. pics | LTG

GITMAN VINTAGE | NAUTICAL PATTERNED SHIRTS – SPRING IS COMING

time to put the short sleeved shirts in front of the cupboard – it is getting warmer and warmer day by day here in middle germany. especially these four GITMAN VINTAGE shirts with their nautical prints i love so much. the dark blue ones with the ships and the bandana-like-pattern from the SS 2013 collection are much more heavy than the lightweight poplin shirts i got from volls.de last week. these two are so nice because of their old school nautical pattern. all new GITMAN stuff will be online @ volls.de the next days. the site will be relaunched soon with all the new stuff – check it. pics | LTG
