TELLASON “TEN” MAGAZIN

Hi guys, I am back! After 6 months of working so much on different projects I will continue LIFE TIME GEAR blog. I am so sorry, that LTG blog was “sleeping” and I was really surprised, that a lot of people asked and wrote me, if LTG is dead and that I should keep going on the blog – I will do! Okay, one of these projects was the creative direction of the “TEN” magazine I did for TELLASON and AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION because of the 10th Anniversary of TELLASON. It was a great pleasure to do this for Pete, Tony and Uwe –you must know, since 2012 I didn’t wear another jean than my two pairs Tellason Gustave. We have have had an exciting time with a lot of work and best teamwork with people around the world. Last week the magazine was launched at the “TEN”  anniversary party during Selvedge Run 2019. TELLASON | MEET ARTIST TODD BLUBAUGH @ SELVEDGE RUN, BERLIN 4TH-6TH JULY PRESENTING TELLASON’S NEW “BLUBAUGH” JEAN & BOOK SIGNING

And if you don’t know Todd it’s time to know him. And what’s about the TELLASON connection? Okay, Todd Blubaugh got a close friend to Pete Searson and Tony Patella, the guys behind this great brand. This is more than 5 years ago. Todd was born and raised in McPherson, Kansas. His earliest interests were in art and motorbikes and since the age of 12, Todd has been pursuing these two passions. He currently works in film, writes, shoots, and pursues collaborations with his roommates at The Chun, a motorcycle warehouse and art space in Los Angeles. “TOO FAR GONE” is his personal account of a cross-country journey taken on his hand-built motorbike “The Red Head” after his parents’ sudden death some days before his expected road trip departure. So the open road becomes a source of artistic inspiration, psychological freedom, and spiritual healing. He spent six months on the road during his transcontinental trip. Todd has a clear vision vision about the gear that helps him on his journey – this is the point when TELLASON came into play. Pete and Tony let Todd create the new TELLASON jean “THE BLUBAUGH” from top to bottom. Their 16.5 oz. denim is their toughest so it was an automatic choice for them to use for “THE BLUBAUGH”. It has a mid-rise slim straight fit that also comes in these lengths: 30″, 32″, and 34″. All jeans sold are raw, unwashed and unworn. Cut and sewn in San Francisco, Calif.

Todd Blubaugh will be in Berlin for the Selvedge Run 4th – 6th July 2017. CROOTS ENGLAND | RELAUNCHED WEBSITE ONLINE & SHOOTING BY JOERN POLLEX

There are some great news from CROOTS ENGLAND. Just yesterday their relaunched website went online. Respect, well done! Take a look at some screenshots or even better just visit crootsengland.co.uk, I’m sure you’ll like it. Some days before I got a lot of new pictures shot by Hamburg based photographer Joern Pollex. I picked some shots from the recently introduced and very well received full veg-tanned cowhide stuff that ages beautifully. Available at bags & luggage like the Laptop Bag or the Flight Bag as well as in small leather goods like wallets, cardholders, eyeglass and sunglass cases and sturdy belts with either brass or stainless steel buckles. For sure all proudly made in Northern Yorkshire, UK. Trade buyers can see the full new collection at Pitti Immagine Uomo in Florence 13. – 16. ORDERSHOW @ B74 SELECTED GOODS FRANKFURT GERMANY | “BUILDUP” DAY

Tomorrow the B74 Ordershow Fall/Winter 2017 will start. So today all exhibitors came to bring their stuff and build up the booths. A busy but fine day for all people taking part at the show. KIM “THE BUTCHER” SCHREINER | ILLUSTRATION GIFT PACK

Last week  I got a big envelope. Thinking “What’s in there?” I checked the writing of the address … okay, this was written by someone who knows what he does: so nice! KIM “THE BUTCHER” SCHREINER send me something. But, not something: a gift pack of 2 illustrations “The Native Pack”, which contains two A3 nitroprints on recovered dead stock paper signed, numbered and embossed. I got #17 … f***ing amazing! And more … the envelope contained also two “Bull Piss” poster, format A3 limited to 51 pieces. These are Risoprints on Black Meta Paper … so awesome. One for me, one for Uwe Maier c/o Amtraq Distribution as a THX for something. And I got a lot of “BUTCHER” sticker, I love sticker, and these are really cool. Thx Kim! THE LANZA JACKET by 1ST PAT-RN | INTERNATIONAL TRAD MEET ITALIAN WORKWEAR

Last week I got a big parcel from UWE E MAIER c/o AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION. What a surprise, he send me the 1ST PAT-RN LANZA JACKET. What an indigo beauty! I was, no I am restless excited about this 1960s Italian work wear inspired jacket. The LANZA is made in Italy of a double indigo selvedge denim. The fit is classical perfect without any needles “Schnick Schnack”, but so nice details like the selvedge seams inside and the horn buttons. It features one button flap chest pocket, 2 lower inset pockets, adjustable cuffs, rounded collar with a detachable throat tab, rear cinch and selvedge detail on the inside placket. It was delivered unwashed –  so the photos I did show the Jacket unwashed. While i am writing this lines LANZA gets its first reversed side wash – cold and light. Because of its nice indigo dying it colors slightly even when I did the photos.The jaakcet is available @ VMC, LowDownondenim, Zenit, JeansLife and The Bureau Belfast, where I got the 2 pics which show the washed LANZA – THX! I am really impressed by this great 1ST PAT-RN stuff – love this stuff expecting some more pieces next time. Christian Berto does a great job.

PRESENTATION OF RED WING POST & RED WING MUNSON IRON RANGER #8012 @ RED WING STORE FRANKFURT

two days ago i did a trip to B-74 & AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION order show in FRANKFURT/MAIN to check new stuff and meet some friends. at this evening there was the presentation of the #01 issue RED WING POST and the RWS MUNSON IRON RANGER style #8012 at the RWS STORE FRANKFURT. the publicatiobn and the boot … both are very well done and it was nice that this news were celebrated with a little party along with friends and RED WING aficionados. thx to KAMI, owner of RWS STORE FRANKFURT, and his team for this nice evening. and folks, pick up your free issue of the RED WING POST at your RED WING STORE in FRANKFURT, BERLIN, HAMBURG or MUNICH – the publication is only available at these stores! and it is a must to take a look at the awesome MUNSON boot which is strictly limited and also just available in the RWS stores. pics | LTG

EVERYDAY TOTE BAG | by TANNER GOODS

this pretty thing isn’t mine. UWE E. MAIER c/o AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION gave it to me filled with new TELLASON STUFF just borrowed. this charcoal colored EVERYDAY TOTE by TANNER GOODS is so nice worn in and broken in that i had to take some pics before giving it back. the bag is constructed from a strout of waxed 18 oz. filter twill canvas and HORWEEN RICH CHROMEXCEL leather. all components are secured by solid brass rivets and four button studs. it has external pockets, a zippered pocket inside and adjustable straps. the dimensions are 15″ tall x 13″ wide x 6″ deep. so nice – UWE, you own a wonderful tote bag. pics | LTG

PASSION FRANCE OR “SPOILT FOR CHOICE – WHICH KNIFE WILL BE MINE …”

yesterday evening i went to PASSION FRANCE with OLLI THE BARBER, KLAUS, c/o VOLLS and UWE E. MAIER c/o AMTRAQ. we went there because UWE got a gift coupon from us when he celebrated his 50 birthday this year to choose a knife @ PASSION FRANCE. WOLFGANG & SABINE received us in their showroom and it was so amazing. damn: so many knives, one nicer than the other. WOLFGANG & SABINE told us all the details and stories about the different types of french knives. it was so exciting and it was really difficult for UWE to decide which knife he should take. at least it was a classical LAGUIOLE – a pretty one. good choice UWE, have fun with your knife! pics | LTG
