when i went to the post office yesterday i did a short turn to VOLLS, checking some new stuff KLAUS got the last days. i was really excited about the new SPIEWAK GOLDEN FLEECE jackets. especially the WAXED DECK JACKETS i like a lot. these DECK JACKETS were some of the most favorite jackets for the US FORCES in the 1940s. SPIEWAK was the official manufacturer of the us navy and air force and so the first maker of the nowadays famous and classic deck jackets. they are available in classic olive and navy blue with a shearling collar. both are made of waxed cotton. the camouflage jacket is an absolute damn f***ing must-have item. it is really special but so nice. i am sorry that i don’t have any more informations about it – i was flashed that i forgot to ask KLAUS about some facts. check volls.de, i think the jacket will be soon online in KLAUS’ shop – the deck jackets are online right now. the down filled AVIATION SNORKEL PARKAS are a contemporary interpretation of the famous and classic N3-B PARKAs from the 1950s. these are nice too but mainly useful with their TEFLON coated, wind and water resistant outer fabrics and a lot of other practically features and details. this hand made necktie by great BELA c/o HEPVILLE CUSTOM CLOTHING is the 4th one i own. wonderful! i got it today, took a look and i must tell you: it is perfect. the necktie is made of 100% cotton, hand sewn shut with hidden slip stitch, pre-washed by hand to soften the fabric, 144 cm (57″) long, 7,5 cm (2 7/8″) at the widest point. it’s a must to check BELA’s ETSY site: HEPVILLE. isn’t this a nice combination in the pics below: vest | POST OVERALLS, shirt | ENGINEERED GARMENTS, necktie | HEPVILLE CUSTOM CLOTHING … pics | LTG
what a nice lightweight 7oz. selvage work shirt made of 35% linen and 65% cotton from italy. for sure the shirt is cut and sewn in SAN FRANCISCO with all the features you know from TELLASON’s CLAMPDOWN shirt. check the nice details like the knife and pencil holders, the selvage seams and smart buttons. at the moment the shirt turns some rounds in washing machine. the indigo is brutal marking. just by touching the shirt for these pics i got dark blue fingertips. as you know i am a fan of bow-ties. 2 months ago i bought the first neckties ever. both patterned: one camo and one with anchors – what else –, i learnt how to tie the “AMERICAN” way and just some days later i discovered HEPVILLE’s DENIM SELVEDGE NECKTIES at facebook. it took me 3 weeks more to think about if these are must-haves. and indeed they are. each necktie is made of 8oz. selvedge denim, has a loop strap with selvedge details, are 57 inch/144 cm long and 2 9/16 inch/6,5 cm wide at the end. they are hand sewn shut with a hidden slip stitch. the blue one has white and red selvedge at both ends, the khaki beige and green neckties have white selvedge at the ends. for sure this stuff is handmade in germany by BELA the man behind HEPVILLE CUSTOM CLOTHING. check his ETSY shop there is much more great stuff like caps, vests f.ex. pics | LTG
one of my absolute favorite vests which gets better and better with every wear. it is made of selvage indigo – look at the nice details. i like this hunting styled vest with its cinch back and chambray lining. i own another raw brown duck outdoor vest from RISING SUN which is much stiffer but as nice as the indigo one. great american made stuff! pics | LTG
