BRÜTTING DIAMOND BRAND | HIGHEST QUALITY SNEAKERS HANDMADE IN GERMANY

Got a box with 2 BRÜTTING DIAMOND BRAND trainers some days ago to check the stuff. And I was surprised – really. I am not a great sneaker or trainer fan for sure, so I wear these when I do sports in the gym or while running. But these BRÜTTING DIAMOND BRAND thing is not only a sneaker. These shoes are the only sneaker which are made completely by hand in Germany. The brands manufacture stands for lastingness, highest quality and a human measure. Only the best materials are used and everything is checked by strict high-quality controls. The shoes feature a natural rubber sole which gives every shoe an individual character. The rubber heel cap is a typical brand recognition. Also the waxed laces are made in Germany – with the “MELBOURNE” you get a second pair of laces in blue, red or black – nice! The leather insoles are replaceable. I can tell you that the shoe is mega comfortable. The magic square BRÜTTING DIAMANOD brand leather patch is really expressive and lives up the earlier success at the premium sneaker market. Since the late 60s BRÜTTING trainers and runners were produced. From this time on the brand name BRÜTTING stands for a perfect fit, highest quality and best comfort. EUGEN BRÜTTING developed shoe lasts, that were worn by the whole runner elite at this time. The models “ROAD RUNNER” und “ASTROTURFER” got cult status in the runners scene till today. The BRÜTTING DIAMOND BRAND sneakers are based on this former styles. The “MELBOURNE” is a redesigned allround jogger and the black ”LONG JOG” is an update of the classic model ”ASTROTURFER”.

FATIGUE PANTS by TELLASON | BRAND NEW CLASSIC STUFF

Last week Uwe E. Maier c/o Amtraq Distribution send me this brand new classic Fatigue Pants made by TELLASON. Damn – these are really nice. So comfortable, loose fit but with contemporary tapered legs for a perfect fit and look. The design is classic – Fatigue Pant in 8.5 oz cotton sateen, based on the famous OG-107: “The OG-107 was the basic work utility uniform of all branches of the United States Armed Forces from 1952 until its discontinuation in 1989. The designation came from the U.S. Army’s coloring code “Olive Green 107” and “Olive Green 507”, which were shades of dark green, the OG-107 being cotton and OG-507 polyester-cotton blend introduced in the early 1970s. Regardless of the fabric, the two shades were almost identical. The OG-107 was superseded by the Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) throughout the 1980s, and was also used by several other countries, including ones that received military aid from the United States.” TELLASON offers this modern well done  “Replica” in khaki and traditional olive. The Fatigues are Made in Italy, are pre-washed and feature a zip fly, the typical buttoned back and large front pockets. JUST SOME X-MAS PRESENT IDEAS | #07 LEATHER KEY HOLDER by EMMA OPITZ LEDERLINGE

A nice key holder is a must. I own a lot of keys to put in order: several keys for home, office … my beloved Orange Beast and the car of my wife. All keys get hold be a LEDERLING (engl. Leather thing) hand made by EMMA OPITZ. These nice helper are made completely by hand in a little manufacture in Berlin, Germany. Every piece of EMMA OPITZ is a one of a kind, always a bit different from the one done before. The owner of EMMA OPITZ, Marc Türkheim, learned the famous knot that holds all this LEDERLINGE together by his grandma – it is a nice story! You can get several types of key holder and other leather accessories. The big ones I own are called “Bismark“ and the small one is a special custom thing which was made for KAMI, owner of B74. He gave me this key holder as a present – damn, I like this so much! The 2 “Bismarks” I got from volls.de. B74 – SELECTED GOODS, FRANKFURT, GERMANY, CELEBRATED 7TH ANNIVERSARY

Yesterday I joined the 7th anniversary of B74-SELECTED GOODS. It was a must for me to visit Kami, the owner of this great shop, and his wife Iris. And it was a very fine but quite come together of friends after this horrible night before in Paris Friday 13th. It was obvious that something terrible happened … and we were talking about a lot. Me I wasn’t in the mood to do a lot of photos, but I did some … it was dark … so excuse me for the not so good quality at all. It was great to meet Frank Schulte in Person for the first time, the man behind the great Top Hatter blog. And if you have the possibility to visit and join B74 and its Sample & Vintage Sale you should do that the upcoming Saturday 21st of November: there are a lot of great offers in gear, accessories and vintage furniture, bicycles and so on. LEVI’S HAND-STITCHED LEATHER BASEBALL | THE BEST “HANDSCHMEICHLER” EVER

Last Sunday I went to B74, Frankfurt/Main, Germany to visit my buddy Kami. B74 was open on Sunday because in Frankfurt there was the gigantic “25-Years-German-Wiedervereinings-Party” – most shops opened their doors and the city was crowded. This little LEVI’S LEATHER GOODS gimmick was lying at the desk and it looked so wonderful – just while lying there as it wanted to say: come and take me with you 😉 … but Kami: “Not for sale … even for buddies – no chance”. Okay, he just got 2 of these and the first owner of this pretty hand-stitched baseball was standing beside me. So proud of his daily companion. This piece of leather is really nice to touch and to handle, press and turn around in the hand … so f***ing relaxing. But this short story came to an happy end, because Kami gave it to me – he wants to check LEVI’S for a third one. Unfortunately I can’t give you further informations about the ball because you don’t find anything about in wwww – no chance – and I do not know anything about the history of baseballs and how they are made. When I got the ball out of the cotton bag I put some RED WING SHOES mink oil on it. The ball got an even better touch and a nicer color – I am excited about how my new „Handschmeichler“ will age … pics | LTG

B74 SELECTED GOOD x LEICA GALERIE FRANKFURT | SUMMERPARTY

Yesterday I joined the summer party of B74 and LEICA Galerie in Frankfurt Main, Germany. It was such a nice party while the temperatures run up to 40°C / 104°F and more. On hour way home the instruments in the car showed  40.5°C outside … damn hot for a middle European. But the party was really cool, because KAMI owner and founder of B74 SELECTED GOODS, his team and the guys from LEICA did a really good job when they organized this event. Wonderful finger food corresponding to the hot summer weather, best service – i can’t remember me a minute without an ice cold water or lemon in my hand. I am a bit said that i could not meet the special guest Rainer W. Schlegelmilch. When I had to leave in the afternoon he still wasn’t there. Schlegelmilch is one of the most famous Formula 1 Photographers in the world. In the rooms of B74 there was an exhibition with examples of  Schlegelmilchs great work. I had the great pleasure to work with him in a project for a common client years ago. We did a Formula 1 calender. Yesterday you have had the chance to buy his book and to get a signature by the master himself. But no master, no book.  Although the weather was so damn hot a lot of people came and amazingly all people where in a good mood while sweating to the bones … pics | LTG

PRESENTATION OF RED WING POST & RED WING MUNSON IRON RANGER #8012 @ RED WING STORE FRANKFURT

two days ago i did a trip to B-74 & AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION order show in FRANKFURT/MAIN to check new stuff and meet some friends. at this evening there was the presentation of the #01 issue RED WING POST and the RWS MUNSON IRON RANGER style #8012 at the RWS STORE FRANKFURT. the publicatiobn and the boot … both are very well done and it was nice that this news were celebrated with a little party along with friends and RED WING aficionados. thx to KAMI, owner of RWS STORE FRANKFURT, and his team for this nice evening. and folks, pick up your free issue of the RED WING POST at your RED WING STORE in FRANKFURT, BERLIN, HAMBURG or MUNICH – the publication is only available at these stores! and it is a must to take a look at the awesome MUNSON boot which is strictly limited and also just available in the RWS stores. pics | LTG

LIMITED INDIGO DYED 8 OZ. CLAMPDOWN SHIRT | by TELLASON

some weks ago i got this wonderful TELLASON shirt from UWE E.MAIER c/o AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION. it is the classic 8 oz. canvas CLAMPDOWN shirt which was khaki before it was dyed with nature indigo. this was done by the crop-dye factory in NEUBRANDENBURG, germany which does all the indigo dyed MERZ B. SCHWANEN shirts. the first run was limited to 24 pieces … mine is #04. i love this irregular nature dying. you can get this shirt just at selected dealers here in germany f.ex. B-74 and RIDERS ROOM. i am very excited how the shirt will look like when it was washed the first time. i should to do this because of marking off – i will show you the result. here some facts of the CLAMPDOWN shirt: fabric made in USA by MOUNT VERNON MILLS, cut and sewn in SAN FRANCISCO, knife and pencil holders sewn into chest pockets, top flap of pocket lined with CONE MILLS WHITE OAK 7.5 oz denim. pics | LTG

KAMI owner of B-74 and RED WING STORE FRANKFURT, GERMANY, send me some pics of a very nice new shirt: the OPTIMIST SHIRT. this shirt is manufactured by SANGAR, the biggest and oldest shirt making factory in ESTONIA. it is built „with love and care from durable unwashed denim or chambray. these shirt with nicely shaped patch pockets can be worn as light jackets over a dress shirt or tank top, or by itself …“ made of high quality materials from italy. read about the history of OPTIMIST below and enjoy the nice box design – wonderful.
