THE IRON HEART HAIRLINE DUCK WESTERN SHIRT & THE HICKORY STRIPE WORK SHIRT

i just own 3 IRON HEART shirts and i love these so much. after some stiffness when wearing the 11 and 12oz shirts the first times, they got smoother and smoother and meanwhile i am so satisfied of best fit and a great comfort feeling. and i think, that these will never be broken down – life time gear – what a great quality. the care isn’t a problem: cold wash, inside out and taking at once out of the wash machine when ready you don’t even need to iron it. no shrinking, nothing. these shirts are made in japan and have a lot of nice details you can check up in the photos. in fall i wore the shirts as a jacket, sometimes combined with a vest depending on the weather conditions. here i combined the shirts with deadstock indigo duck canvas JACK/KNIFE hunting vest and a JOE McCOy bandana. the shirts and the bandana are available @ volls.de and the vest is from B-74, frankfurt, germany. pics | LTG

RED WING SHOES | JAPAN LIMITED CANOE MOC WORK BOOT #9850 / #9851

what a found … did you hear about this japan limited RWS 6 inch boot? sorry, me not. you like? i do not know – but i think, i like the hybrid between the classic RWS moc toe and a canoe or boat shoe. the boots are available in the wonderful GOLD RUSSET SEQUOIA and ORO RUSSET. they show the classic 50s IRISH SETTER label and come in the retro box from this time. pics | THREEWOOD + FOOT TIME

THE 7OZ. CLAMPDOWN COTTON LINEN SHIRT by TELLASON

what a nice lightweight 7oz. selvage work shirt made of 35% linen and 65% cotton from italy. for sure the shirt is cut and sewn in SAN FRANCISCO with all the features you know from TELLASON’s CLAMPDOWN shirt. check the nice details like the knife and pencil holders, the selvage seams and smart buttons. at the moment the shirt turns some rounds in washing machine. the indigo is brutal marking. just by touching the shirt for these pics i got dark blue fingertips. two days ago i did a trip to B-74 & AMTRAQ DISTRIBUTION order show in FRANKFURT/MAIN to check new stuff and meet some friends. at this evening there was the presentation of the #01 issue RED WING POST and the RWS MUNSON IRON RANGER style #8012 at the RWS STORE FRANKFURT. the publicatiobn and the boot … both are very well done and it was nice that this news were celebrated with a little party along with friends and RED WING aficionados. thx to KAMI, owner of RWS STORE FRANKFURT, and his team for this nice evening. and folks, pick up your free issue of the RED WING POST at your RED WING STORE in FRANKFURT, BERLIN, HAMBURG or MUNICH – the publication is only available at these stores! and it is a must to take a look at the awesome MUNSON boot which is strictly limited and also just available in the RWS stores. pics | LTG

OPTIMIST | THE SHIRT WITH A STORY

RED WING SHOES AT WORK | CARPENTER CHRISTIAN WITH HIS RWS #8130

this week we got our roof-deck renewed. when our carpenter CHRISTIAN came in i noticed at once his rugged RED WING boots. i asked him if this is a #8137 and he told me that it is a #8130 with a rebuilt black sole. he always wears his RWS boots a couple of years before he use them for work. these are about 3 years at work. these boots are really nice broken in. as CHRISTIAN says there are no better boots for work than RED WING BOOTS. pics | LTG

VINTAGE LEVI’S RED JEANS FOUND | PART I “BILLY BOB”

i was searching for one of my vintage western shirts. so some days ago i was checking up one of some big ZARGES storage boxes in the basement, where i have a lot of clothes parked. stuff i won’t wear at the moment or i am just collecting like vintage western shirts and boots, work boots, denim, t-shirts … so i found 2 more than 10 years old LEVI’S RED jeans. i was so surprised how detailed these where made. today i will show you this very rare “BILLY BOB”. no selvedge, classic straight leg, a lot of zigzag stitched details, suspender buttons, … tomorrow i will continue with my LEVIS’S RED “THE HOLDEN”. maybe i will find the original suspenders till tomorrow … and damn, LEVI’S RED isn’t payable today. check the prices @ LNCC … unbelievable, there isn’t a pant under 650 €. pics | LTG

yesterday i got the information from the RWS HERITAGE central europe, that the 5 new POSTMAN styles are now available @ the RWS dealers around europe. so one of the most beloved but at the same time hated styles the #101 now gets a fashion touch – with all this new colors and mostly because of the white RWS cushion crepe outsole which is really important for a lot, maybe the most of all the RWS lovers. for me, there is only one POSTMAN: the #101. here some information from RWS HERITAGE: “Red Wing Heritage proudly presents 5 new Postman shoes,  inspired by style no.101,  Red Wing’s original postman shoe. Designed, to meet Postal Service requirements,  the 101 is sturdy, sleek and simplistic and these characteristics served America’s, mailmen well. First introduced in 1954, Red Wing is now expanding on this style with five more casual variations. The new Postman shoes are built using the same leather upper as the 101 including a dog tail, blind eyelets and a Goodyear, Welt. Premium Red Wing leathers,  made at Red Wing Shoe’s very own S.B.
